I got into town early and was so grateful to be able to check in early. The location was great, and the one time I did encounter a staff member (during check-in) it was pleasant.

I was on the ground floor which was fine, but the room did have no air ventilation so, because it was at times, I had the window open for fresh air when I was home. The problem I encounter was it was near the seats in the courtyard area so people would hang out and smoke, and that smell went directly into my room. Also having a mini fridge would have been nice. I was there for 3 nights so without having an option to store food I couldn't keep leftovers.

Everything except just one minor point below. Love the location that's within reasonable walking distance to transport, attractions and restaurants. Hotel service was via remote (phone / text) and responses were always very quick. Also loved the space heater that complemented the existing heating fixtures.

In my ground floor room, upstairs flushing/showering could be clearly heard. This was more frequent on Sat when rooms were full, and totally not an issue on Sunday night when most everyone had departed. Not a deal breaker, and I would definitely stay here again - just thought I would mention it for those sensitive to noise.

Perfect place to stay in Cesis. Clean and centric. Bright room with good views (maybe too bright, a darkest curtain would be welcomed). NICE!! Thanks!

They should change the Google address, It took us some time to find the main entrance (we met other guests with the same problem). So if you come, what we highly recommend, go direct to the opposite side of the building in the same street you had turn following Katrina's first sign.

Location in the heart of the city. Self check-in and check-out is very convenient. Clean, comfortable room.

Shower doors hardly opening and closing - I was afraid to break then using. Electrical sockets in the top of the mirror in the toilet room - hard to plug hair dryer, looks like you break it - hair dryer not completely suitable for sockets.

The hotel is in an old historic building but has been remodeled on the inside. Just next to the historic part of town, about 10 minute walk from the bus/train station. Room was clean and comfortable, very quiet with a great view over the rooftops. Entrances to Gauja National Park about 2.5 km west.

Wifi very weak on the first day in our room, couldn't really use it. But on the second day it worked well for some reason. At any rate there is a common room where it works all the time.

For breakfast I choose cafe nearby. Good location for city walk. special places for smoking outside building. Fast and convenient check-in. Confy bed. Plenty of space in the room and shower. Two chairs in each room. Lot of glasses and cups, corkscrew. Tea and coffee maker in the room. Iron in the corridor.

Very nice and clean room, also liked the size of it. Location was really good, 3min from exact centre of the city.

Well its not the hotels fault, but at the nigh we stayed neighbour had a garden party wich was pretty loud and ended only at 2 am.

Even though it's in the old town and close to the castles, It's a bit of a walk from the train/coach station. Also, the front door downstairs was not locked, which made the room seem not so secure/safe to keep your things in when away walking around the old town.

It would have been useful to have a fridge in the room to cool food, especially milk, purchased from local shop. (The cafes opened too late for us in the area to go to them for breakfast.)

Room was nice and very clean. Late check in was self-check in (thanks). Comfortable beds. Fast and reliable WiFi. Very central location.

Room was too cold, the heating is underestimated (see the pipes :-), at least for December.
