Kapteiņu Osta is a place where we have stayed a few times in the past and is familiar to us, so we knew what to expect. The restaurant serves excellent food. The location is on the beach on the Baltic Sea. There are always international guests from various places: Finland, Germany, Estonia, Lithuania and of course, Latvia.

The room had AC but it did not cool, and kept turning back on even if it was shut off, The daytime weather was quite warm and sunny, so the room had heated up quite a bit, but opening the door to the huge balcony in the evening cooled things off.

We've been to this place several years before and enjoyed the lovely restaurant area, the views from the rooms and the interior design. All that is very nice! The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was ok. The room had really big windows facing the sea and a terrace. The room was spacious and the bed was really a double-size, not just 2 single beds pushed together. I particularly enjoyed the bright orange tiles in the bathroom.

The hotel feels dated. The public areas are well kept and nice, but the rooms feel much more dated and that was a bit disappointing. The bed was good size, but the mattress needs replacement. The terrace of the room needs refreshing. And the TV channels were not working.

The location is nice, most bungalows have a sea view and the beach is near. The rooms were spacious. It seems it would be a really nice place during the warm season.

A bit pricey concidering it's off-season, the staff wasn't even there and the restaurant was closed. There was a lack of information about our arrival and a bit of miscommunication with the staff, but they tried to be helpful. Missing some essentials like shower gel and hairdryer, even thought the bungalow comes with a sauna.

The premises were clean and well maintained. The hotel had an interesting interior and in general the territory had a pleasant atmosphere. There is a quiet beach near the hotel. Although a bit limited in choices, the breakfast were tasty. All in all, a pleasant experience for a peaceful getaway with the family in a relaxing vibes.

Minor stuff.. maybe a bit more choices in breakfast and toiletries set in room would be nice upgrade.

Room was very spacious, we did like the fact that there was a heating and it was possible to turn it on and off as needed for us. Bed was really comfortable and terrace was with a beautiful view. Breakfast was good, we liked :) and the restaurant for dinner was just perfect 🤌

Shower could have been cleaner and one of the towels left for us were not really clean. Otherwise everything was good

The most valuable thing is definitely the fact itself - a sauna (as well as a bungalow) with the opportunity to watch the sea while sitting in the warmth, which can be turned into a very romantic event. The sauna warms up well, but it is better to keep your feet higher, because due to the strong winter wind it is still cool near the floor, but the bench is only at one level. Inside the bungalow everything was clean and tidy, a separate living room with a sea view, kitchen and TV, and a comfortable sitting sofa and a bedroom with a very soft bed. The room temperature was fine, but not controllable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful - in the restaurant of the reception building. The interior of the restaurant and the waiters are pleasant and responsive.

In order to enjoy the positive things, you have to be able not to focus on the many small flaws, which are mostly insignificant and could be easily fixed. Around the bungalow was a bit dirty - coals were spilled right at the entrance, cigarette butts were thrown in the bushes, the terrace floor was dirty, and a traditional problem of most accommodations - the water from the shower drains very slowly.

Perfect location directly at the beach, very friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant. Functional accommodation with view to the sea. Very good kitchen!

According to booking.com, you rent a cottage, but they are subdivided into two units which means you rent an apartment. Probably not a big issue but guests should be aware.

It is by the sea in a very nice location. A hotel room is spacious, and the balcony has nice sea view🌞 The restaurant has very tasty dinner menu.

What was complicated for me, that I wanted to book the staying in the small house, but booked in a hotel room. I couldn’t understand that I booked in the hotel room. Also, when I was staying in the hotel room, I couldn’t rent a sauna.

customer oriented and friendly hotel direct on Baltic Sea beach side (first we got room in the hotel,later on we took a cottage for some more nights) + staff was very friendly multilingual helpful at any time + excellent dinner + amazing and awefull athmosphere + very nice, very clean rooms + spacious cottage with sea view It's a little paradise and we would like to come back any time

Great location, just next to the sea. Sea was visible from our room's balcony. The hotel seems a bit old but it is clean and good enough for a short stay that we had. Breakfast was very good. On sight restaurant is good too. There is a large parking area and even a playground for kids nearby
