I had only stayed one night as I was joining a tour from another hotel. The hotel helped arrange transportation from the airport and to my next hotel. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were great - had a nice dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Enjoyed a drink on the terrace off reception and spent a relaxing couple hours on the roof terrace. Had a comfortable stay in a first floor room - hadn’t realised this would be the only place I would stay that had air conditioning and with best bathroom facilities during my entire trip - loved the rain shower. This stay was really good value.

This is only a minor complaint. There is some building work being done so I had a view of scaffolding from the window and I had to keep the curtains closed so no one could look in.

Modern building, beginning of the sloping Tana center. Short walk to a nearby small park and market to watch local life. 5-10 minute walk to the heart of town. Restaurant had great food, juices, and great sitting area and view of sloping Tana. Staff at restaurant fantastic, check in so-so

We stayed twice crossing through Tana. They had to relocate us the first time as the bathroom (piping) had a strong odor. The music in the bar area was not of an annoyance and contradicts the nice restaurant ambience … The management should moderate it

The outstanding feature of this boutique hotel is the customer service. Despite them struggling with my rudimentary French and me struggling with their English nothing was too much trouble. The manager kindly upgraded my room at no extra cost after some very minor confusion at check-in. Every day they provided me with fresh milk for my morning tea at no charge and they even changed some money for me on a Sunday when the banks were closed. The room was very nice. All white and minimalist design. Very hot water and good water pressure and nice thick towels. Air con was quiet and efficient. I ate a couple of very passable meals in the restaurant which was not expensive. The terraces were comfortable and cleaning was to a good standard.

So why only an 8 on Booking.com. Well 2 reasons one was that the wi-fi in the room was pretty useless although it was fine in the hotel reception areas but not ideal when you are trying to work. The other thing was the polyester/cotton sheets which were cheap and scratchy to the skin. A hotel of this standard can surely run to 100% cotton sheets. Maybe I am getting too fussy but a good night's sleep is a thing for me!

Very charming rooms, a little different design and layout than what you usually find.

There was a a blackout curtain in every room but mine so I had a poor night’s sleep before I fixed it (the reception did not seem to understand the problem). Never went to the rooftop bar as there was a sign for 3 days it was hired (private). Apparently there can be noisy parties there so rooms on top floor should be avoided.

The location of the hotel is perfect - halfway between Upper City and Lower City. Walkable distances. The staff is super friendly, professional and polite. Very, very nice. The restaurant is really good. I had 2 dinners there and both were delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant got busy on Friday evening but that is no surprise to me. The terrace on the entrance floor and the roof terrace are just fantastic. You can have a drink and enjoy wonderful panorama of the city. The internet connection is fast and reliable both in the room and in the common areas.

I would maybe exchange the pillows. :) But still it was 10/10 experience for me.

super friendly staff - not just one person, but everyone there. from the servers to the reception to each of the doormen. i loved it & recommend others to come. super clear facilities, great interior decor, looked very luxury, amazing views of the cityscape and hills from each window, great views from restarant, great ambiance & food choice of restaurant, could not have asked for better. also the staff went out of their way to get me on some tours to check out the lemurs. super loved it

The staff was amazing. When my airline company suddenly pushed my flight by 11hrs they helped me contact the airline company and also allowed me late check out. Clean, comfortable room. Comfy bed and pillows. Lovely bathroom.

Very very loud on the first floor facing the street. It’s on a big hill so the cars really have to accelerate. Ear plugs are a must or sleeping will be tough. Didn’t love how the lunch buffet was out for hours on end. The flies on the seafood salad weren’t exceptionally appetizing.

This hotel has it all - new and well appointed rooms, friendly and professional staff, a good restaurant which we were able to try breakfast, lunch and dinner at, a central location and several roof terraces with views across the city. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tana and looking to stay in a place with a high level of comfort.

My stay was exceptional. The Superior Queen room was stylish, comfortable, and offered stunning views of both Tana East and West. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the hot water supply was consistently reliable. With several great dining options nearby, this hotel is a fantastic choice.

Adding a duvet would be perfect

Nice rooms , interior design, and very friendly staff. Centrally located for walking in central Tana . Food decent .

Noise insulation from the single glass windows wasn’t great - traffic noise and music from the roof top bar could be heard most evenings.
