Very peaceful although centrally located. Down the road and up the hill provides loads of eating places, shops and even chemists. Accommodation is very high value for money, you pay for what you get. Make sure you confirm your dinner very early and clarify what you want for dinner and confirm it is available. My wife had fish and I had chicken and although basic it was good. Do not be put off by street view, if you are not coming with their organised shuttle, you go up the stairs to a private entrance.

Breakfast is a standard French breakfast: baked local rice cake and french loaves with butter and spreads, and coffee. Nothing wrong but not what we are used to for breakfast but totally edible.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Antananarivo! Naval, the manager, was incredibly attentive and helpful; he spoke excellent English, which made everything so much easier. He went above and beyond to help me plan my trip around Madagascar, ensuring I had an unforgettable experience. The hotel’s location is ideal, close to many major tourist attractions in the city center, making it easy to explore. The rooms are clean There is always hot water , wonderful ambiance Highly recommended!

The room was spotless, well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. The house, with its classical architecture, has an old-world charm that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. I definitely recommend this place to stay the tranquility and decor are perfect. The staff was amazing, super helpfull :) I enjoyed the full breakfast, which included an omelet, and it was excellent, accompanied by the traditional rice "bread"

If you are looking for a safe and comfortable stay while in Tana this is the place. The staff were very friendly and aimed to meet my every request, the food is delicious and affordable and the location is great. The hotel itself is designed very well with cute decor and the rooms + bathroom is exceptional.

The only issue I had was there was no wifi during my stay, but there was a tv and lovely staff so I was happy with the disconnect.

What made the property exceptional are the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we were ok and helped us with any questions we had. The owner Hony even helped us with communication with the airline. Even with a language barrier with the staff, they really tried hard. The Malagasy breakfast was amazing and I highly recommend it. The location is convenient to most places. I recommend the 2 rooms in the side wing at the top. They are slightly bigger than others inside the main building. The staff helped with calling taxis and arranged transfers to the airport (we had no problems at all). It is also a very safe place. Thank you to the whole staff for making such a big effort with us.

It is a beautiful building in a colonial style with nice rooms, clean as well, fast WiFi and a constant hot shower, and the staff are kind and helpful, it was even possible to order food from a partner restaurant with a variety of dishes

It was a little bit cold in the room and there was a boiler hanging openly in the bathroom which wasn’t even fully assembled

Lovely traditional building & lovely lovely staff. Nice location & fairly quiet away from the road.

The shower room needs updating as the water pours straight off the flat shower tray. Room needs a repaint & sheets & duvets could do with an update. It’s a cheap hotel & good value for money but just needs a little attention to make it more comfortable.

Very nice, comfortable and clean place. Also, the staff was super friendly and always ready to help. The security officer kept the place safe and had always a smile for you when entering or leaving the place. The green area gives you the necessary peace after a long walk in the hectic city.

The shower head could be unclog.

The house in general reminds me of my childhood family house.. cute and charming!!! my room was spacious with the sun warming the area the whole day.. the The staffs are all friendly and very helpfull. the location was perfect because the market, church, offices, bus stations are at walking distance.

Everything. It’s a charming space and Hony’s team are such a Joy. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I had s several baths, each one piping hot, almost unheard of here.

There was a minor issue with the bath, no plug therefore no bath. The guys didn’t stop looking around for one the right size until it was sorted and I had my bath 👍👍
