- Very good price and central location (walking distance from many attraction). - Provide meals at a cheap price. - Very clean and comfortable stay. - Air con super cold, fridge is cold, shower is hot, even sink water can be adjusted to warm and hot.

It was almost perfect but sadly, room is not sound-proof at all. Can hear people taking outside, can hear lift sound. Staff can be noisy when they are cleaning outside or other rooms.

Location was very convenient-walking distance to waterfront, shops, restaurants and the food festival. Breakfast was served at 630 which was great if you had to be somewhere early. Room was spacious and well-appointed. There is a very reasonable laundry place a few doors down and they will return your clean clothes to the lobby for you. The front desk people were super helpful and gave me very useful advice and help getting places.

Although the view from my room was not very interesting, the room was quiet as it looked off to the side.

An excellent hotel in a very central downtown location in Kuching, on a lively road in the heart of Chinatown. The breakfast options were good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful on all occasions. When staying here, you can walk (or take a short Grab ride) to many places of interest in the downtown area, such as the waterfront promenade and the nearby bars and restaurants. And right across the road from the hotel is the amazing Borneo Rednecks music pub, where they have live music most or all nights (it's well insulated, so the sound of the music stays inside the pub). Overall an excellent experience!

1. Level 4 housekeeping staffs was so warm and welcoming.. greets me every morning.. wish you guys a blessed day ahead! 2. One staff wearing spectacles handing cafeteria was so tentative and efficient! you're good & keep it up girl! 3. Breakfast : kuey teow goreng on my 2nd day & nasi lemak on my 3rd day was delicious. 4. Modern interior & Clean hotel.

My room 414 : QUILT, QUILT-COVER & PILLOW smells really bad & dirty.

Staff very friendly and helpfull especially Staff named Akmal, he always doing the best for us to make us more comfortable to stay there.. Akmal have a good personality and he also can be an example to other staff.. Not forget Sheilin, also very helpfull and always smile to us, will gonna miss both of them ;) Insha-Allah will stay there again once we have time

The detail in the internet not same with the reality.. Mean, I booked Executive Suite and the detail showed that in that room have bath tub, but when we arrived there, there is no bath tub! Feel dissapointed but it's ok, as long as the room was clean and comfortable to stay!

The location are okay, easy to catch grab or maxim, not to far from tourist attraction. Their uniqueness (THEY HAVE MASSAGE CHAIR) thats great. Helpfull staff all around. Their staff mostly are friendly and attentive.

I just realize on our last day that i dunno the different between their meritin suite and executive, cause i book for suite, but its seem just like executive. Maybe its my bad cause i came early, and forgot to inform them, and they just give me the available room? I dunno. And supposedly, if u stay at executive or suite, they would give u complimentary fruits platter, i dont got it 🫠 and my bathroom at shower cabin are leaking (water from room above 🥲)

From my experience, Meritin Hotel offers a fantastic location, clean rooms, and great staff service. Its proximity to the city center makes it super convenient to get around. The rooms are kept really clean, which is a big plus.

However, there are a couple of things worth noting. The lack of parking facilities is a downside, especially when you have to rely on paid parking in the back alley. Also, the rooms are a bit cramped for three people; a larger room would be much more comfortable. With some improvements, like sorting out the parking situation and maybe offering more spacious rooms, this hotel could easily become a top choice for visitors.

Very strategic location. Supermarket is right in front. Department store & food stalls are just a stone throw away. There are the famous buttermilk buns at shop across the road (make sure you go at the right time to prevent any disappointment) & fruits rojak, ice chendol, cattlefish with water spinach next to the Song Kheng Hai rugby ground.

There are a few pubs across the road at night and it will get a little noisy sometimes. But after midnight, it will quiet down. However, it is still bearable to me.

The location of the hotel is very central to a lot of good food places like Choon Hui laksa, Top Spot, Yunnan Yuan, food hall next to Song kheng hai school stadium etc etc, coz its very near to Song Thian Cheok road where there is tons of nice food. It is also within walking distance to WaterFront, Sarawak museum, India street and main bazaar which are all very popular to tourist. The reception staff are all very friendly and helpful, always eager to help us solve our problems, especially Ikmail and another lady staff. Very glad to stay here and will definitely recommend others to stay. Hotel price is reasonable as well.

This hotel was really great: rooms were beautiful and well equipped with all the necessary for a pleasant stay, bathroom was spacious, too, and offered all kind of toiletries, a hair dryer, plenty of towels... Breakfast was rich and offered a lot of different options: from the traditional Malaysian one (laksa, noodles, rice....) to more "international" dishes - English breakfast, toasted bread with kaya, jam, peanut butter, cereals... Location is perfect to explore the heart of Kuching, and is easily reachable also by Grabs and taxis in general. But what really stole my heart was the availability and kindness of Meritin staff. Since in Kuching there are no luggage storage options (well, I did not find any even if I tried), it was natural to ask Meritin if they could store our stuff between our two stays there (we slept here on 12th and on 14th, but on 13th night we were in Batang Ai region, taking in part in 2 days - 1 night excursions and using Kuching as our base). Not only they kept our stuff on 13th night, but they also allowed us to take our baggage there BEFORE our first booking there... on our really first night in Kuching (10th) we were staying in a different hotel and on 11th we were sleeping in Bako National Park, but Meritin allowed us to leave our luggage in their lobby starting from 10th so we could easily retrieve our baggage at the hotel after our 2 days in Bako! If it's not great service, I really don't know what I should call it! Thanks a lot, we had the greatest time here!
