It’s my second time here and we stayed in the same room which is perfect. The first time was upfront we don’t have any bookings and I found this using google only and the rating is very high and luckily there’s availability at that time. The bed frame is concrete and wide enough to fit 2 persons. Another thing is what I like the most is the owner and his family, they are very accommodating and very good with english which is good for foreigners like us. The CR, internet and all of the facilities are superb and fit for the cheap price. I hope they won’t increase the price hahaha Another thing is they have mini honesty store which you can buy assorted things for the same price

It’s a kinda hassle to remove the shoes/outside slippers before entering the room HOWEVER IT IS GREAT TO KEEP THE ROOM CLEAN. They have shoe rack right outsite of each rooms, which is the best. They offer slippers too for only 3 or 4rm. Very affordable

Francis! Very lovely host, was there to welcome us and explained us how to navigate between the tourist attractions (easy peasy). Location is also perfect and the room and bathroom are super clean, like new! Room had no windows (normal in Malaysia), so we didn't here the street noise :) Also: we got upgraded (4 bankbeds instead of 2) which was very nice as the rooms are tiny. Perfect for one or two nights! Airco also works perfectly!

I could have used a thicker blanket or an extra one because the airco worked so well (you can't really switch it off because there are no windows and it gets hot in the room quickly. But I'm sure that if you ask Francis for an extra blanket you will get one for sure :) Mattress is a bit hard if you are used to sleeping on a soft one, but it was actually comfortable!

Million of thanks to Mr. Francis Chong and his wife Madam Lilian who are very kind and friendly to the tenants like us. All rooms and toilets on each floor are very clean. If you want to go sightseeing in Bandar Hilir, you can rent classic and modern bicycles here. The pantry not only provides food and soft drinks, but also toiletries such as toothpaste and toothbrushes are available if you forget to bring from home. The air cond is very cold and the wifi service is very fast. We feel very satisfied!

The room itself was surprising everything we needed, the beds we super comfortable, aircon, wardrobe space, hangers, plugs in practice places for a change & it was very clean 🧼 The bathrooms, communal kitchen & seating area were well maintained and there were little baskets scattered around with food & drinks all which you pay into an honesty box. Location was dead central, round the corner from little India and a 3 minute walk to the river. The owner, Francis was literally the nicest host you could possibly imagine ❤️ he is the kindest & most welcoming person, he and Luke built such a good friendship during our 3 night stay! So good he even give us all a lift to the bus station at 7am when we checked out 🙌 Francis lives upstairs with his family so he’s always around doing the odd jobs and checking in to make sure everything is okay 👌 he has the most amazing memories & stories to share with you! He has all the time in the world to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I can’t recommend this place enough

Our stay here was perfect. We are on a budget, because we are backpacking. Great value for our money. The host is such a welcoming man. He has a lot of recommendations about what to do and where to eat in town. He knows al about Melacca and that’s great! The rooms are very clean and all the public areas are nice and structured. The accommodation is very close to the centre. If you want to visit places further outside the centre you can rent bicycles at this place.

We arrived late, but the host met us with a big smile and welcomed us in. The entrance is adorned with photographs in honour of its past as a Tailor with pictures of the family and showing its history. It’s really cool! The bathrooms and bedrooms are really clean and mattresses cosy. It was raining heavily when we arrived and we were very kindly offered umbrellas to borrow before heading out to find some food. We wish could have stayed longer. Special thanks to Frances for making us feel so welcome!

Lovely host, Francis was very helpful in pointing out all of the places to visit. The room , although basic was clean and the bathrooms cleaned throughout each day.

Nothing really. it was as advertised but would benefit from a small area to sit in ( maybe in the garage )

The location is very convenient - within walking distance to Jonker Street and the Dutch Square. We also got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The host was very nice and gave recommendations on attractions and restaurants.

Francis was an amazing host. He helped us with tips and organizing our trip. We have a great stay. The room is small but clean and the location is perfect just 5 minutes walk to the historical center.
