The location is not bad, it’s close to Bellas Artes, the Latin American Tower and close to multiple Metro and bus access points. There was always a shower available, bathrooms and the property were well kept. The terrace was nice, you might have to wait a little bit to cook but everyone is friendly.

I did not like that there is no water available to drink that is offered by the hostel. I had to boil tap water, bottle it and place it in the fridge until it was cool enough to drink. I understand there is a water shortage in Mexico City but not offering guests water to drink is inexcusable. Please change this.

Beds were okay, lockers big and functional. Curtains were great, tho the rod kept falling down when touched too harshly

The way they organize the kitchen (having to get every single utensil like pot, plate, cutlery from the reception for a deposit) was so annoying - especially since the kitchen is on the second floor and the reception is on the ground floor…

I have stayed at so many hostels in Mexico City, and this one stands as my favorite. The price is great and the facilities are too. The beds are comfortable and come with a privacy curtain and an outlet (no light in the bunks unfortunately). The toilets are outside of many of the rooms, but it is not a problem. There are many common areas (both inside and outside). The rooftop is a good place to be sociable or do work. They offer a decent breakfast and coffee for purchase at a good price. The staff is always helpful and kind. I enjoy that this hostel is outside of El Centro and is easy to get around Mexico City with a metro stop 5 minutes away.

Lights inside the bunks would be helpful. No free filtered water, but they have water, other drinks, and snacks for purchase.

Overall, it was the best hostel I stayed at while in Mexico. The staff was great. Cleanliness was excellent. The common area upstairs has beanbags to comfortably lounge. The breakfast is a good value. I ordered the chilaquiles (a bit too spicy for me) and the fruit bowl with honey (yum).

My mattress was not comfortable. No drinking or cooking water is included so you have to buy bottles of water - either from them or elsewhere. No individual lighting in the bunks.

- Amazing staff whom I’d like to thank: very helpful, caring and speaking English! I stayed there for 3 weeks and when I had any problem I asked the reception for help: when I got sick with food and had no medicine they readily helped me with a pill; when it was cold they gave me a warm blanket and so on. - Also you can breakfast right there - there is a cook in the morning, which is helpful when you don’t want to go anywhere early. - If you love being around people from all over the world this the right place - central location + proximity to the CDMX metro station of Hidalgo

- wi-fi doesn’t reach some areas of the hotel, maybe not a powerful enough router - the kitchen is clean 7 out of 10 - the place in general needs a little renovation/new painting

The whole building is great with a nice rooftop terrace. The bunks were sturdy and equipped with curtains, fixed ladders and relatively big lockers. Staff was always super friendly and helpful! As the location is not in Roma/Condesa it shows a more authentic part of MX city with a great park, markets and shops closeby.

Everything would be much better if drinking water in garrafones would be provided!! These other things are only small details and the overall stay was great: - Mattress was a bit old and I could feel some of the springs but still comfy enough - The female dorm was a bit tight and crammed - Absolute highlight would be little lights in the bunks to read

The hostel is cute and just a couple of blocks away from the Metrobus and metro station. Near Alameda Park and Bellas Artes, the location is great! The staff needs to work on the maintenance and cleanliness. My sister and I stay in one of the bigger rooms and the toilets had bugs every night dropping from the ceiling. We stay there for 5 nights and no one ever came to offer some basic "clean" service room or any other service. I do understand that the concept of Casa MX Alameda is more of a backpacker's "hostel", however, if you are offering the "boutique" room option, the staff needs to pay more attention to travelers paying more.

This was the cheapest place in mexico city and you got more than you paid for. Beds with curtains were private, enough bathrooms, fantastic location. Party on the roof at night but you can't hear it from the big dorm so sleeping is fine. Felt safe inside.

- dog living in the hostel that ran into the dorm barking in the middle of the night and left a poo in the hallway - showers had the same rubbish in them for multiple days - locks for lockers only available to buy - towel provided stained and had holes - first aid kit not well stocked Despite this, it's a good place in general just remember to bring a lock and ask for a good towel.

Great location, good amenities, and friendly stuff! Great value for money!

The constant loud music on the balcony come night time, only one pillow per customer (did ask for more), tables on the balcony could have done with a clean from time to time, and I didn't find chairs very comfortable! The only section that was very comfortable was the TV room!

This place is amazing. The location is perfect, just 10 minutes walk from downtown and lots of attractions, but far enough that it’s always quiet and peaceful at night to have a good sleep. The staff speak great English and are super friendly. They run a tight ship! By 23:00 the entire hostel is quiet and you can sleep well. somehow the client base is all great people, really friendly and fun to hang out with. I loved that they had a busienss centre for me to work, with very strong wifi, and I also worked out in the fitness centre every morning. lastly, right next door is La Sabrosita which is a delicious and excellent value restaurant for breakfast or lunch!

As an open-air hostel, in the winter it gets quite cold. be prepared to need two blankets and wear warm clothing when you sleep!
