The friendly helpful staff were like a happy family. it is a quiet oasis inside the busy city. The breakfast was ample and delicious. The swimming pool was inviting after a long day touring the butterfly sanctuary. The building is beautiful with a cactus garden and many beautiful planters.

our internet was weak in our room but good in the lobby and eating area. the room needs more places to hang wet bathing suits.

Some of the staff were super helpful. The facility is subtle on the outside and gorgeous on the inside. The pool was so warm. Breakfast was generous and good quality. Very clean and spacious rooms and patios. A coffee maker was in the room. Wifi was good.

Communication was kind of rough at times. They didn't respond to my email and trying to ring on the phone didn't work either. Parking is down the street, not clearly marked, and gets locked up during certain hours. Took us a lot of struggling with communication to find it and then get the parking attendant to let us in. The hotel says it is a spa, but we couldn't find any evidence of that. I asked about services and got nothing in response.

The overall interior/exterior design of the hotel was amazing. The service, and cleanliness, were also top-notch. The staff was there cleaning and taking care of the facility. Lastly, the breakfast was amazing as well.

The internet connection was pretty bad if you're working from the hotel. First, the connection was very slow and I had trouble connecting. Second, seems like the connection isn't very safe. It doesn't meet WPA2/WPA3.

The breakfast was a fresh HOT breakfast with many different types of breads served at your table. When you first pull up to the place you would not guess what lies behind the wall. Like an oasis of modern beauty in a somewhat run down area of the town.

The parking wasn't ideal. We had to park a block away and we couldn't get access to our vehicle until 8-9 am.

This hotel was a beautiful little oasis a few blocks from the town square. We upgraded to a larger room which had a patio plus two comfortable chairs. Everything was modern and very clean. The pool was warm and clean. The room where breakfast was served was open air right next to the pool and could be used at any time. The included breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful but did not speak much English so be sure to brush up on your Spanish. The whole complex was gated so we felt very safe.

There was no fan or air conditioning in the room. We had to open our slider, which did not have a screen, to get air during the night. Because we knew that the gates were locked we felt safe in having our slider open. As is typical for small, rural towns in Mexico, dog barking and rooster crowing were very noisy sleep disrupters so ear plugs are a must.

We came to the area to visit the monarch butterfly reserves i the area. This is one of the best small hotels that we have stayed at in Mexico. Very new, very quaint, nice large rooms, great wifi, and a wonderful breakfast. The main butterfly reserve in the area, El Rosario, is about an hour drive. There are also much more rustic and less touristy places nearby to see the monarchs without a lot of people.

The parking is a little difficult, but we managed to park in front of the hotel while there. It is kind of an older small business area, so we were quite surprised how nice the hotel was once inside. A real oasis in the midst of an older area. There were several restaurants in walking distance though and we always felt safe.

Beautiful boutique hotel. a mix or ultra-sophisticated modern design with traditional Mexican elements. Completely unexpected find. Like something you might find in Architectural Digest. Our very large room with private secluded terrace. Pool. Interior cactus garden.

Location a bit off the Center (six or seven blocks). is that a negative… or a benefit?

Rooms are large and nice, comfortable beds, well designed bathrooms, and the whole building has a nice architectural design. I found it welcoming and very done: spacious corridors, nice terrace for breakfast, and quiet indoor environment. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Reserva Monarca is 45-60 minutes away, although don't lose patience with the "topes" on the road.

Rooms located near the entrance are next to a main street and sound isolation of the windows is not well. If you have the chance, do not hesitate to request one room without a window to the main street (not possible for the family room). In fact, sound proofing is an issue at this hotel, you basically hear everything from rooms next to you at that is really annoying late at night and early in the morning. I think it has something to do with the roof construction, it is terrible. Otherwise, an extremely nice hotel in Zitacuaro.

New, clean, nice breakfast, morning staff was great. Easy parking next door. Over all it was a nice experience. Certainly seemed as though it was an oasis in an otherwise seemingly forgotten town

Was difficult to find food in the area. It would have been nice to have info on where to eat or where to order from. There were a few loud guests and their noise echoed throughout the hotel until nearly 4am. Also would have liked a fan of some sort just to move air a bit.

Everything!!!. Wow this hotel was like a little slice of heaven. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, awesome heated swimming pool. Delicious breakfast. Really lovely staff. This hotel is amazing. I didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend..

Walls are thin so you can hear people talking in other rooms and in corridor.. Guests at the weekend were very loud and not considerate of others. But this is not the fault of the hotel at all. As mentioned above the hotel itself is fantastic.
