This hotel felt like a little private sanctuary from the world outside. Being behind locked doors with a courtyard as the centerpiece and check-in area was very welcoming upon arrival. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Any questions we had were addressed. They also have a rooftop deck where they serve good and excellent drinks. There are covered areas where we could even sit during the occasional rain shower. The room was spacious with polished concrete floors and were beautifully cleaned every day. It is also quiet as there were only 9 rooms in operation at the time of our visit. Some upstairs rooms are closed for future renovation.

I happen to be a bit fussy about pillows I sleep on. If you like a very full firm pillow, you'll be very happy here. I missed having a softer flatter pillow which sometimes disrupted my sleep. But that's being very particular when everything else was so good. Just mentioning as perhaps the hotel can stash some other pillows for guests like me. And to be honest, I never asked if they had any.

Casa Antonieta was beautiful! The room was gorgeous, and the staff (especially Andrea) were so helpful and kind. I traveled with my sister and shared the 2 queen beds room, which was a great deal of space for such a small hotel! We had a meal and a coffee at the Amá Terrazza that were delicious.

The room's temperature regulation was a little bit confusing to operate, but the combination of the fan + AC worked well. If you're traveling from sea level, prepare for climbing up stairs at the higher altitude of Oaxaca. The staff were incredibly helpful in bringing our luggage up and down.

Very nicely appointed boutique hotel. Comfy beds, nice linens, quality bath products, good coffee. Close to Zócalo but not noisy. Calle Hildalgo is not as busy as some of the streets near Zócalo. The room had a private patio sitting area, also sitting area in room, streaming tv, in the morning they offer good coffee, small cookies. In the evening they have hot tea and fresh fruit available after 7 pm. A cute coffee shop is attached plus an on-site roof top restaurant/bar. Will definitely stay here next time I’m in Oaxaca

It is a very trendy and nicely-decorated hotel. Great rooftop area for coffee or beer in the evening. Well-located near the city center. I would consider it a great place to stay, although very expensive given the total cost in the city. Still, a fashionable and clean option with kind staff.

everything felt a bit expensive for the value. It's a very inexpensive area, so it is surprising that it was over US $350/night to stay here. The recommendations were also to very expensive places. While they have great taste, it felt a bit like we could spend 5 mins doing research and get better options.

The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and the coffeehouse that is used to provide breakfast each day was excellent, and the best breakfast I had during my time in Oaxaca. It was also super quiet at night and the bed was really comfortable. Also the bathroom was huge so two people easily could use it at the same time.

The room was way too dark for me, there was no natural light. So even though there was a window it only opened to the public courtyard and we never opened it for privacy. But, to be honest the window wouldn’t have brought in any light anyway. Also my room had a little patio but no light came from that either because the only opening was 3 stories above. The room is decorated nicely but we never wanted to even relax in the room because it was kinda depressing. As I said we were on the ground floor so maybe the second story is where you want to be. During my time in Oaxaca I stayed at a few hotels and while I do think the staff was exceptional and the architecture of the hotel is beautiful, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with a inner courtyard . Room was big and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were great , location was great and walkable to other areas in town . Staff was great with making reservations for private driver for tours and reserving airport transfer .

They need to have a coffee maker in the room . There is a cafe by the courtyard inside the hotel but having a coffee setup in your room is more convenient as you don’t have to walk to the cafe and order coffee , to save time .

Beautiful room, cozy beds, lovely bathrooms with large showers. It felt very tranquil.

It would have been nice to know in advance that the hotel was under construction/renovation and an entire floor was blocked off. Not to mention, there was construction noise and drilling during the day which disrupted an otherwise tranquil atmosphere. I would have changed my reservation to another hotel if I was made aware of this in advance.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Antonieta! I did a lot of research before booking a hotel, and this hotel kept coming up as one of the best hotels in Oaxaca. I'm so glad we stayed there. It is beautiful, clean, great food, centrally located and has a fantastic staff. They were very helpful with any thing we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Oaxaca. xx

This place is a lush and beautiful dream! The details are stunning and it feels so luxurious to return home to on our trip to Oaxaca.

Sometimes a bit noisy being on the top floor near the Ama Terrazza in the morning but otherwise no concerns. Would have reallyyyyy loved if there was a pool at this hotel. That's the biggest thing it's missing for me

I loved everything about Casa Antonieta. The location was close to the Zocalo, restaurants and shops, making it a great base for exploring. The property itself was stunning, and the rooftop terrace and bar was the perfect place to end a busy day. As a solo traveller with limited Spanish language ability, the team - especially Berenice - really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Can't recommend highly enough!

Nothing. It was the highlight of my trip to Mexico.
