We loved the location. It's beautiful and has so many plants and greenery it's a little oasis. We had a porch in front of our room, and we spent time reading and journaling there. From this hotel, we could walk everywhere and didn't need to take a taxi. The staff is very kind and helpful, and our room was always well-cleaned. They provide water refilling stations to reduce waste, which is convenient as we drink a lot of water. It's a very charming place and has more of a traditional decor style and does not have TV in the room which is not a deal breaker if you are here to sight see, unwind and explore. They have great wifi so if you want tv you can use a phone or tablet.

If you book through booking, breakfast is omitted, unfortunately. It's only Included if you book directly from the hotel's website. We misunderstood that part. Since it's eco-friendly, they don't provide toiletries like shampoo conditioner bars of Soap which is okay but I included here for folks to plan ahead. They do have hand-washing soap and a body soap dispenser in the shower, which is plenty. The bed is pretty stiff and not as comfortable, so if you are staying five days like we did. It can mess with your sleep but we made it work.

The hotel/gardens are beautiful and well kept. Our room is exactly as pictured and spacious. The front desk was helpful in general and also assisted me with getting our luggage to/from the room while my partner stayed with the car outfront. I liked that someone was always staffed there and so friendly. The hotel is conveniently located very close to downtown, but also quiet. We would certainly stay here again.

If I had to pick something to be be better, the pillows could be better. Also, my partner mentioned that sometimes the water wasn't hot for him in the morning, but I always had hot water in the evening.... I think this is one of those everyone using the hot water at the same time things.

It’s a very well-located hotel that is excellent value for money. It felt like an oasis in central Oaxaca with its beautiful gardens and planting. Our room was spacious, comfortable and cleaned perfectly daily. THs staff were friendly, helpful and went the extra mile for guests. The breakfast (paid separately) was also very good. They arranged a tour of Monte Alban for us which was great, as well as our laundry and taxis. Highly recommended.

Nothing! The only thing that would have improved it for us would be to have tea and coffee making facilities that guests can use.

We absolutely loved our stay, this place has a lot of history, if you are traveling and looking for a good stay, this is the place to experience some of the old Mexican style architecture, the patio it's absolutely stunning, i could be here for months. Room was cosy and quiet at night. Very kind service, and the location it's excellent. Bathroom was clean and water pressure for the shower was good too. If you appreciate plants and flowers you will love this place.

Breakfast could improve

The location is great if you want to be close to the action and near the Zocalo. The room was lovely and you can buy breakfast on the beautiful upstairs patio surrounded by flowers and plants. There's also a sitting area on the second floor where you can read, drink coffee, etc. and it's like you're inside a garden.

The location is in a busy area of Oaxaca. I actually like the Jalatlaco neighborhood better because it's less dense and quieter, but Las Golindras is a beautiful place to stay if you want to be in the heart of it.

courtyards were vibrant with plants and rustic, colorful feel were delightful. Location is quiet compared to other places in central Oaxaca.

Room had duplicate artwork on the wall, which I found curious and lazy. Also was awakened each morning at 8am by sweeping and cleaning going on right outside my room, which caused me to move hotels. I don't think the kitchen/breakfast was in operation while I was there, but there were plenty of cafes within a block.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. My first impression is the beautiful gardens and decor that look like a small village. Breakfast was delicious and the menu presented many choices, sensitive to our dietary needs. The Internet connection was reliable and strong. The air conditioner was a welcome feature on hot nights. The staff went above and beyond. They accommodated our special needs of storing our luggage, refrigerating a medicine I was carrying, and finally they tracked me down and shipped some equipment I had inadvertently left behind with an overnight carrier. For this I am eternally grateful. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Oaxaca.

There isn't much I would change about this hotel. I would have liked to have a shelf inside the shower to put soap and shampoo, and an absorbent rug outside the shower when stepping out of the shower. Beyond that, I have no complaints!

As we all know, the selection of a hotel is important, you want comfort, cleanliness, availability of staff and proximity to the areas of interest. After reviewing several hotels in the area what caught my attention were the photos of the patio at Hotel Las Golondrinas. There are many inviting areas to sit down and relax, surrounded by plants and pottery, it is easy to sit down and read a book or listen to music. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! There is filtered water where you can refill your water bottle in the lobby and a small espresso machine. Some of the rooms have AC, if you prefer to sleep with the windows open, there are screens to keep out the mosquitoes. The hotel is walking distance to the Iglesia Santo Domingo, parque etnobotánico and many coffee shops

The hotel was gorgeous with beautiful flowers all around and many places to sit and enjoy watching the birds (including hummingbirds). The location was perfect. I was able to walk to everything of interest in Centro. Also the WiFi in room DD was excellent! I was able to hold two hour zoom meetings with ease. The staff was excellent from the first “welcome” to the last “goodbye”. All staff members were very friendly and beyond helpful. The cleaning staff did a great job with the rooms. My room was spotless.

The garden was very well kept and beautiful to sit in. It was perfect location for all of the activities we did and the tours we did all started within a 5min walk of the hotel.

They booked a taxi to the airport for us which turned out to be massively over market rate and very expensive
