It's a beautiful small hotel in the center of Zipolite. We have stayed here before and enjoyed our second stay as well. The staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed in the apartment in the ground floor. The yard is right next to the hotels small yard/garden, but there is enough plants so that it still feels private.

A lot of people mentioned noise of the next door bar. We stayed in Zipolite Thursday to Monday, the bar was only open on Thursday and Friday. When we passed by on our way home, we could only hear the music quite loud on the street on Friday. Inside our apartment we did not perceive the music. To put this into perspective: I am a noise sensitive person. I cannot sleep if I hear a clock ticking but I had no issue sleeping there. I cannot speak for the other apartments, but the ground floor one aparently is quite sound proof.

I do not have the words for how grateful I am for Rubi and the Mixteca team! I was sadly ill for the whole time I was staying here in Zipolite, but they went above and beyonddd – from doing multiple trips for electrolyte drinks, providing medication when I needed it, finding out bus times I needed for the next leg of my trip to even offering to bring me food to my bed from nearby restaurant Posado and taking meal requests so the restaurant could make whatever I could stomach. I couldn't have been cared for any better, and for that I am abundantly grateful and couldn't recommend Mixteca enough. The room itself was amazing, with a gorgeous terrace which had an insanely beautiful sunrise and sunset view and the ocean insight too. On a busier bar night you may be able to hear the nearby bar but honestly this was only once and they provided lots of ear plugs too. The bonus being that majority of the time you can hear the ocean, and that was a gorgeous bonus. As you can expect with it being so hot and by water, there are a lot of bugs across Zipolite and the beautiful outdoor-indoor vibe with natural materials makes the room prone to some of the smaller ones inside too. But if you stay regiment with the net and the netted door it's actually very manageable to keep your bed bug free, but in case you are more sensitive to these things then maybe ask them to keep the door shut before your arrival. They also kindly offer to clean your room everyday should you desire it. The shower was a lovely pressure, the juicer and water keg was also great bonuses and truly wish I had been well enough to make more use of the fully equipped kitchen plus the hammock and outdoor terrace but equally couldn't have dreamt for a more idyllic place to watch the sunset ill from bed. Endless thank yous again to Rubi and the rest of the team!!

Room on the third floor felt like a fully private space because of the large plants in front. Great service with honest staff. Bed was very comfortable and large, and room was great size with a beautiful balcony. Quiet mostly and room came with earplugs just in case. Room had great AC and filtered water pitcher. Well thought out design and beautiful art tied the space together nicely. Adding this place to my favorites.

The stairs were a bit narrow and hard to see at night. Internet a bit slow. Blackout curtains could be helpful too because the room gets bright in the morning.

This is the best place to stay in the central beach town. Quiet and well thought out rooms with all comforts including ac. No hot water but not needed at the time of my stay in Dec. Easy walk to all places in town and just across the street to the main beach. Very friendly and helpful staff who know everyone in town. Very safe feeling.

No pool. The place was recently purchased by Posada Mexico and is now managed by them. You can use the beach at their facility across the street of find another place to hang out. Their restaurant is not very good but lots of others around.

Casa Mixteca is in a perfect location on main street, steps from the beach, services and restaurants. You can use the restaurant and beach services from Posada Mexico, right in front, which is convenient. Rubi was great, helpful with her tips and accommodating on our needs. The room is comfortable, clean and nicely decorated, as well as the common areas. Nice sunrise, sunset and sea views from my room

Can be a little noise at night due to the bars in the neighborhood

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The location is right across from the beach so it is a quick walk. The inner courtyard is a lovely garden and there is a shower to wash sand off your feet. The kitchen is a nice add on for people looking to keep drinks and make your own food.

There is no water pressure in the shower so I wasn’t able to have a proper shower. The bar next door is a little noisy but not every night, and there were ear plugs in the room to help with that. It gets a little hot with no AC but there are fans. really not many complaints. Its a sweet place.

Property was excellent, close to the beach, quiet, secure, staff were friendly and attentive (but not overly), AC was a god send! Very cute, and authentic decor, the garden atrium was gorgeous, and every room had a hammock to enjoy the heat, while relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, and the fridge was amazing for saving some money, instead of always eating out.

Need better shower heads in the rooms. It just kinda sprayed everywhere except where it was needed/wanted. That’s the only downfall.

Gorgeous place. Really lovely buildings around a beautiful garden courtyard. The room was large, decorated with personality and charm. Stunning view of the garden and the sea in the background from my balcony, which also featured a hammock. Very chilled. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Would come back for sure.

There's no AC - which I knew at the time of booking. However it's actually fine when you're sleeping because of the ceiling fan and extra fan provided. Can just get a little hot when you're moving around.

Casa Mixteca is a lovely hotel, perfectly located in Zipolite along one of main (but not busy with car traffic) roads and a block from the beach. The attention to detail in design and decor is wonderful. As noted in other reviews, there is a bar next door, but staff provide ear plugs (if needed). I can definitely recommend staying here on a trip to Zipolite!

Casa Mixteca was very well located and though close to the Adoquin, it was quiet inside. Staff was always welcoming, attentive to my needs and tried to accommodate at their best. Hotel was cozy, room was ample, bed was very comfortable and quiet with a little view, bathroom was decent and good size.

There was an odor in the room every afternoon nobody knew but they tried to clean and fix it.
