We loved the location! The hotel is conveniently situated near the town center and the pier, close to many restaurants and shops. The included breakfast was good with fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs and coffee. The staff were pleasant and helpful. However, not a lot of people there speak English, but it provides a great opportunity for you to practice your Spanish. Our hotel suite was only about 200 sf, but it had a large bathroom/shower, and the views were absolutely spectacular!

Our original "garden view" suite was large, but it was literally overlooking a bunch of dilapidated buildings that you can hardly call a garden. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. After one night - and we stayed there for a week - we asked the management to upgrade us to an ocean view room. After some negotiations, they agreed to do so, but for an additional $120 charge even though we were the ONLY guests currently staying at the hotel. The staff never made any efforts to make our stay an exceptional experience. If you plan to work during your stay, keep that in mind that the WiFi is spotty and the power goes out frequently.

Great staff, very clean property, excellent bathrooms’ and drainage conditions (which is rare anywhere in Yucatan). Location does t get any better!

Usually hotels of such status would provide a curtesy bottle of water (standardly 2 per day, 1 per person). There was no water. Daily rate isn’t the cheapest so one would expect a potable bottle of water in the room. Also, we stayed in room 1, so you’d be awaken around 7am by moving chairs and preparations of the breakfast just above you.

Everything! It’s a little bit of paradise and I would never get tired of the phenomenal view from the bedrooms and restaurant. You are right on the beach and with shell showers dotted around, you can clean off the sand so you avoid getting any in your room. The rooms are spotless and we’re cleaned daily. The bathrooms are ginormous and have wonderful showers. The staff make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive and are so attentive. Breakfast included is simple but always delicious with a beautiful sea view. The hotel even helped arrange a transfer to El Cuyo and beyond for us which we were very appreciative of! Thank you! We felt right at home here and never wanted to leave.

That we didn’t stay for longer!! Only some tiny, pedantic comments for some improvements would be that some rooms are maybe missing a splash of colour for a bit more character and a lick of paint for the white furniture where people have left marks just to keep it looking fresh. Other than that the place really is very special.

The location is perfect: right on the beach and right in the center of town. We were able to walk everywhere. The breakfast was tasty and very large and the view from the table is amazing. We enjoyed having cocktails and dinner at the restaurant as well. We really appreciated the fact that the hotel has a generator as there was a storm one night and the town lost power. There is always hot water with great water pressure in the shower. The beds were comfortable as well.

The only improvement I can think of is that all of the lounge chairs are on the hotel side of the mangroves from the beach which is great when it is windy, but it would be nice to have some light weight beach chairs/loungers that could be taken right down to the beach when it was calm.

location was excellent rooms were very clean & great views Breakfast was SO good with dynamite views overlooking pool & out towards ocean The staff were amazing- so kind and cheerful Housekeeping were very efficient there was a sense of calmness & peace as one unwound from the world The beach was a beautiful walking beach that went on for miles

First off I love dogs- however when they pee on the beach furniture & the cushions- I did not appreciate that- the dogs have to be confined! The office dog was fine- did not see it pee on furniture The beautification in front of the hotel could use a lot of work- paint, planting shrubs or grass and getting rid of garbage and old cement pieces that are lying around. I only say this if this beautiful gem would like to move forward. It is a beautiful place

Just by the beach. So beautiful!!! The owner (?) was soooo friendly. Cute little village. So relaxing! 🧘🏻‍♀️

We missed the breakfast, both of us thought he said to 10:30 but it wasn’t… The fire alarm went off in our room, we didn’t do anything, just laid in the bed and taking. And it felt like they blamed us for smoking in the room… Not the owner (?), another guy. But other then that, everything was totally amazing!!! I would easily stay here again!!! ❤️

I had the chance to try other hotels at El Cuyo before but this hotel is by far the best! Room has everything you need. Bathroom is super clean and 100% working, something to remark is that this place has treated water!!! Pool and jacuzzi are just perfect and cleaned every day. Breakfast is very tasty and generous; I had the chance to taste some lunch dishes and they were so good! Staff is just wonderful, very kind and polite.

Breakfast was included in my room and was fruit, yogurt and granola, Two eggs fried or scrambled with a few add ins and toast. Very good orange juice. Location was perfect and views were amazing. We ate there for dinner once as well and the food was very good.

No one there gave any warm fuzzies. Front desk at check in wasn't very welcoming. Very little English is spoken in this town. It may have just been language barrier because my Spanish is poor. Bottles of wine very expensive.

I loved everything; the rooftop lounge, outside dining, exceptional food, wonderful staff, extra comfortable accommodations, hot water for showers, a hot tub, right on the beach and close to the pier, the end of which is the only place in the island to see the sunset drop into the horizon. Magical, peaceful place.

Nothing but if you want total peace, try not to go during festivals because the music is right behind in the field.

Great location, perfect to unwind and chill a few days, probably best suited for kite surfers, with great access.

Breakfast quality varies day by day, there are better options in walking range. Adding 16% IVA on food/drinks at check-out is very odd.
