- Kristina is amazing! So friendly and welcoming, thorough explanation of what to do and how to get around. When I came back the second time she was just as welcoming and remembered everything about my trip. She printed bus tickets out for me after changing my whole route. - Laundry service is cheap and able to dry outside. - Nice welcoming pack with sheet and towel and key for locker. - Location is great: close to bus station, supermarket and old town.

- The less said about the two other female members of staff, the better, as otherwise I’d have to change my review rating. What I will say is that they were visibly rude to other travellers, would get agitated when travellers couldn’t understand what they were saying due to language barrier and nearly caused me to miss my flight. They led me to believe a taxi was on its way, was told 10 mins later taxis were unavailable and only suggestion was to get a bus at the time I had said my flight was leaving. No attempts to help me whatsoever and didn’t seem to care at the possibility. Stressful end to what was an amazing holiday! However, dismissing these two - the hostel was amazing and did not deter me from giving a mainly positive review.

The hostel offers stunning views of Kotor. Everyone who works there is very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The beds have curtains that offer a good amount of privacy. The bathroom and kitchen facilities are very good.

Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions about the area. The 4 bed dorm was tidy and the air conditioning worked well. The privacy curtains are great. The kitchen was useful for basic cooking (e.g. making soup or cutting up vegetables). It wasn't an incredibly social hostel with events happening so if you like to do your own thing and have a quiet stay this is a great place.

WiFi didn't work well in the room. Having to make your bed upon arrival and take off the bedding before you leave can be challenging or disruptive depending the (early or late) time you check in / out. Hand towels in the washroom would be great!

Excellent service, no discrimination against elderly people like in Old Town Hostel where I've to cancel my booking because out of age. Open for all, age, race, religion, skin colour, gender, ...highly recommend

Everything was ok, nothing to complain

It was a really nice, clean hostel with an amazing location. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Thanks to Cevo, Rachel and Kika, they were always kind and gave good advice. I recommend for the solo travelers :)

The hostel is in a great location on the marina front and very close to the old town and main bus station (so ideal for backpackers coming to Kotor via bus). All the staff are very friendly and willing to give advice/recommendations on where to visit/eat etc. The hostel is quieter and more relaxed (no parties) than other hostels in the old town which is nice, and it has some benches with cushions outside the building so you can sit and chat to other people. The individual lock boxes is good to keep valuables safe under each bunk bed.

The bedding I received was a little stained/dirty, and the room I was in did not have a window so natural light was limited (it had windows but they were covered by other bunk beds).

Hostel Pupa is really good place to stay of you're looking for a quite budget-friendly (compared to the average prices in summer)stay near the old town of the touristic and therefore quite expensive area of Kotor. The hostel has really nice and good equipped common rooms and most of all it's incredible clean for a hostel. The team at the reception is friendly and good organized, even if they are meeting an incredible amount of travellers every day. First of all I would like to mention Kristina,who seems to be the head of everything there ;-) You should really take some time and go for a chat with them. The atmosphere is really laid back. You will have a personal locker for your stuff in the room and all the beds in the 4-bed dorm were equipped with curtains,so that you have a little bit more privacy. The Hostel itself is not a party place,so that you can get enough sleep at night. The old town is a five minutes walk from the hostel,the same for the bus-station. All in all one of the best stays during my holidays in Montenegro. Thanks for that!

Compared to normal hostel prices it's quite expensive,but that's actually linked to Kotor being one of the most touristic places in Montenegro. So if you stay there in the main-season be prepared for a huge amount of tourists coming into town from the cruise-ships or from daytours. But that's nothing you could blame the staff of the hostel for.

This place is absolutely incredible. If you’re a traveller who enjoys hostels but not the crazy partying part, or you’re a little older so those days are just behind you, this hostel is perfect. Such a great vibe and so easy to meet people just hanging out front. Definitely still a social hostel but not a party hostel so you can actually sleep! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms have large bunks with privacy curtains. There are two kitchen spaces, one larger and one smaller for little things like coffee and breakfast. It’s so close to the Old Town and the bus station as well.

The onnnnly only minor thing is that the lockers for the bunks only fit smaller 30L backpacks, so if you have a larger bag just make sure you have a lock for the zippers and they easily fit under the beds. Not a negative but just more of an FYI!

Best location in Kotor! The old town, the walls, the mountains, the views of the whole bay just all in front of you! This hostel is super clean, well organized, all beds with curtains, air-conditioned works well, bathrooms super clean, kitchens are great. very nice vibe here, from all over the world. I booked three days, extended to 5, I am going to extend again, don't know when I will leave from here yet, just too many to see, too many to do, many hiking trails, many view points, many small places along the water all worth a visit and a cuo of drink. I definitely recommend it to all the travelers!

The hostel is very well located - by the sea & outside the wall. I think it is more convenient to stay outside the wall as it enables me to be dropped off and catch a transport to the airport right outside the hostel. The hostel itself is clean, my bed was comfortable, and I was provided with a map with lots of useful information from the staff. I want to thank Cevo for having assisted me to find a taxi on my way to the airport - he went above and beyond to call various taxi companies and make sure that I was transported safe and prevented me from being overcharged. I'm so grateful for his kindness!
