This was the best guest house I have been in Morocco. All the staff is amazing, helpful, at ease and looks after you. Haytam is the best receptionist, great smiley guy. The cleaning and cooking staff are very kind and friendly. The place is super clean everywhere and kept clean all the time. The terrace is of course a big asset, would have spent there a whole month, well decorated, peaceful, with outstanding view and comfy chairs and sofas. Breakfast is very good, and varied compared to the standard I had elsewere in Morocco and provides also salty options. Other Meals are possible and are delicious too. Beyond any expectations. Rooms are way better in the reality compared to the pictures. Nicely decorated and wide.
I would provide more shampoo:) but I have long hair

The size of the room was plenty spacious. We loved the separation between bedroom and living area. The beds were very comfortable and although it was cold outside, the bedding kept us warm at night. The location itself was in the heart of the medina, but tucked away in a quieter alley which made sleeping at night peaceful. The rooftop views and delicious breakfast were my favorite part about Casa Blue Star. My partner and I watched the sunrise from up there and enjoyed a lovely homemade breakfast of goat cheese, crepes, bread, different types of jams, coffee, and mint tea. Everyone was so incredibly hospitable- we were not ready to leave after spending two nights at Casa Blue Star.
No complaints! Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs so unless you are staying on the first floor, you will need to navigate stairs. We didn't mind it at all and enjoyed the exercise!

The accomodation was so beautiful! It felt like a step away from staying in modernised hotels. And yet here we still got luxury with culture and heritage. The staff were super helpful and friendly and accommodating with the children. Pros were the decor, the size and comfort of the beds, the terrace which was accessible whenever we wanted, the staff addressing and managing our queries and needs. The breakfast was great too!
Nothing major but maybe the accessibility. You're looking at walking steep steps and narrow alleyways and paths to get up and down. So bare that in mind if you have children or physical limitations. It would be helpful to have a lamp. Our room didn't have one so when it got dark by sunset and the kids were asleep we had to put the bathroom light on to see the whole room and be able to move around and even then it was dark. We had a fridge but It would be nice to have a kettle but I found in a few Moroccan hotels it's not common to find a tea station in their hotels. We were always accommodated whenever we needed hot water by the staff in the terrace restaurant so it wasn't a big issue.

Amazing rooms— they almost feel like mini-apartments. I can say they because we booked 2 nights but then loved it here so much we wanted another 2 and moved to another. Both were exceptional. The AC is a beast. They had sofas in another area from the bed, good shower, clean bathroom, and an amazing terrace. The breakfast is really yummy with homemade peanut butter as a gem! Staff was so friendly and even helped do our laundry for an additional “donation” based fee. Also, the rooms having fridges was so nice!
The WiFi at certain times of the day could be slightly slow but that’s my only qualm.

Excellent location and lovely staff! Breakfast was served between 8-10am, but because we had to catch an early bus, Omar kindly offered to prepare our breakfast at 6am, which we were very grateful for! The breakfast was excellent, and served on the rooftop with great views of Chefchaouen. Our room had airconditioning, which also served as a heating, which was great!
The kitchenette in the studio is not really usable as it basically consists of a fridge and a sink… it would be nice to at least be able to make tea if a kettle and/or a stove and kitchenware was provided.

Location of the place is perfect, very close to the main road where you can grab a taxi, so if you're traveling with suitcases, you'll won't be walking for too long, which is not the case with some other places in the city. Rooms are well equipped, we had a tv, fridge and A/C, bar of soap and shampoo packet each, which was just about enough for our one day stay. Rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning with an amazing view of the mountains and the breakfast is superb, wonderful experience. Beds are very comfortable, we slept like babies. Everything is a short walk distance away, staff is wonderful and super friendly, customer service was beyond our expectations. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning to it in the future.
We loved everything here :)

It's a good place to stay and the location is extremely convenient. The staff were helpful. The room was nice and large.
If you have sleeping problems check which room you book. There is a bright light outside the window and the curtains don't block it at all. Also there was a noise all night long like an outboard motor, probably from someone else's air conditioning unit. Shutters on the window would help both issues. Also if you park a car in the street nearby, be careful of the parking attendant. Pay him with exact money, he told us he didn't have change then letter lied and told us he'd given the change to reception (which wasn't true).

When I arrived, I was given a warm welcome. The view from the terrace (up several flights of stairs) was beautiful. The lock on my door initially didn't work, but they had it fixed by the time I was done with dinner, which was quite good. My room was clean, spacious, and well decorated. The staff was very helpful. After the earthquake down south, they let me book another night in another, even better, room at a moment's notice. I would be happy to stay here again - the staff says guests are like family and they do act that way. I have a bad back and they helped me with my bags as needed in settling in, switching rooms, getting a taxi. I can't really rate the breakfast as I'm allergic to gluten, but the view can't be beat.
Nothing bad about Casa Blue Star, but the city if a series of stairs. So getting from the taxi requires getting bags up several flights of stairs just to reach the ground floor. Be prepared... and if not, do what I did and offer money to a kind gentleman in the street (it may help to be a middle aged woman).

A spacious and beautifully decorated apartment reflecting the blue theme of the town. There's a pretty view from the master bedroom as well as from the terrace where breakfast is served every morning. We just stayed one night here but really wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely home. The location is great as all the attractions and photo spots are within a 15-min walk from Casa Blue Star.
Nothing really to 'dislike' but here's some helpful information: a) parking is difficult to find and the property is quite far from the nearest carpark. You gotta drag all your luggage up some steps and through some cobbled streets and then up more steps inside the house. b) the loo was totally clean but a bit stinky, most likely because it's an old town with an old sewage system. c) the wifi is weak and choppy d) communicating with the host was a bit difficult due to language barrier

Riad is spacious with a mini refrigerator. Very quiet stay with panaromic view on roof top. But the most memorable was the hospitality of the staff. They all speak English fluently. Thanks funny Omar for getting up early to serve us breakfast because of our early departure, Atef for booking my taxi and massage session. Otman for cooking a delicious tangine meal. In desperation, Omar saved my day by getting a last minute taxi all the way to Tangier because my transfer booking did not show up. Thank you all , for making us feel at home! I’ll return!
Too many stairs. 5 stories to the roof top but the view is good and you got used to climbing but super tired if you want to stay in riad, you have to lug luggages on uneven cobblestone and climbed endless steep stairs, not recommended for people with immobility. But this is normal with all riads.
