We loved this cute little Riad with only five rooms. We had two suites which were both very spacious and well-appointed. The lovely smell of orange blossom pervades the Riad and everywhere is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are amazing. We stayed four nights and had different Moroccan breads every day. The rooftop is a lovely place to relax and read. Everywhere in the Medina is within 5-10 minutes walk

The only suggestion I would make is maybe to have a softer topper on the mattress which I found a bit hard.

What a warm and welcoming Riad! The manager, Karim, was the perfect host and able to provide loads of information about Essaouira, as well as helping to get my luggage repaired. The owner just happened to be there and was also incredibly welcoming. The Riad is both traditional and modern and the same time. Beautiful tile work throughout. Plenty of sunny escapes on the upper terrace or on the ground floor, with a small fireplace. Our room was particularly comfortable with a spa-like bathroom and sitting area, besides the large bed. Love it!. A great location and wonderful staff!

I suggest that the Riad begin to offer yoga classes or something for guests to enjoy to terrace and spaces to their fullest.

The Riad I'Ayel is located in one of the less busy side streets of the medina of Essaouira. It is comfortable and quiet inside and you get to have your breakfast on the beautiful rooftop terrace. Our room was also very clean and cozy. The staff and owner are super welcoming and nice. The food was very good and we also got to try one of their dinner options which was a little bit costly (still less than most touristy places inside the medina) but delicious!

We had one of the smaller rooms, which didn't really have any space to open your luggage (except for the bed).

Perfectly located Riad. Close to the center, but quiet at night. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely hostess.

The location was very central and convenient at the heart of the Medina. It was very quiet. The terrasse was also lovely. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff (Karim, Abdullah and the ladies in charge of the kitchen) couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. The owner, who was abroad at the time, even gave us a courtesy phone call to see if everything was fine with our stay at the Riad, a nice touch.

Our room was on the dark side as it didn't have any windows but I suppose it made it very quiet which wasn't such a negative.

Great location. Every interesting spot is nearby, there're always people around and you feel safe. Even though the alley may seem dark, it is not dangerous and there's a nice smell from the bakery next to the riad. The riad was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Our room, at the top floor, was ok for four people. Comfy bed. Sofa bed not so comfy but good enough. Beautiful bathroom and shower, with good pressure. The terrace where we had breakfast (yummy breakfasts!) was great. The staff and host were so welcoming and nice. Felt like home. Would definitely come back again.

Location near Bab Sbaa easy. Owner and staff very nice and helpful. particularly with my difficulties detailed below. Room big and comfortable. Bathroom good. One of the most powerful showers i have ever used. Wonderful. Hairdryer and toiletries supplied.

Probably accessible for wheelchair users, but not for powered chair or elevtric mobility scooters, Staff very helpful though as I had scooter and they had to lift it in and out of the front door. So not as accessible as Booking.com might think. Booking.com need to elabourate on accessability ratings. Breakfast consisted of baguette, butter, strawberry jam, flatbread, orange juice; a nice fresh fruit salad with coffee or tea each day for 4 days. Nothing wrong but some greater variation would have been good.

A gorgeous stay here! The riad is beautifully decorated and had a lot of charm. Staff were super friendly - a special thanks to Kareem for all your help with everything and making us feel welcome 😊. Location was perfect, right in the heart of the medina, though still away from all the noise. Breakfast was good and they catered for my dietary requirements. Would definitely stay again if I am ever in Essaouira!

Beautiful stylish Riad in an excellent central but quiet location. Karim is an excellent, efficient and conscientious host who makes sure everything runs smoothly. The bath tub was AMAZING and a rare and welcome treat. Book the Berber suite - it’s lush…. Wonderfully calm and stylish.

No eggs for breakfast Brits do love their eggs… v minor issue. The single bed in a triple room are very small…as they generally are in Morocco - more like an afterthought so the Riad’s ideal for couples or a couple with child.
