We had an amazing stay at this riad in the heart of the Medina! From the moment we arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality by the amazing staff who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable throughout our stay. The location couldn’t be more perfect – right in the middle of the vibrant medina, making it easy to explore Marrakesh. The riad itself was a peaceful oasis, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The traditional Moroccan breakfast each morning was delicious, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the riad made my stay truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for an authentic and exceptional experience in Marrakesh. Can’t wait to return! Thank you! W and N

What a perfect find for a long weekend in Marrakech. Our hosts were superb and made sure that we had everything we needed from the moment that we exited the airport until our return there. They made our stay most comfortable, explained the many places to visit and they certainly fed us extremely well. The Riad itself was set-back in an alley system behind, but away from the loud, busy main square and the hustle and bustle of the city; and yet it was amazingly central to everything. It was very pleasantly decorated in a traditional Moroccan way/style, with a cooling pool and many plants and we had a delightfully compact en-suite room off the central courtyard. We loved the rooftop area in the shade with the warm breeze and especially after several hours exploring the souqs and many historical sites, museums, ruins and gardens. It is very much a ‘walking city’, if you are this close to the centre. One has to go to Marrakech to ‘get this’ The breakfasts were heavenly: with fruit, yoghurt, preserves, traditional and French breads and home made pastries, mint tea and coffee etc We really didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day! We enjoyed the traditional tajine meal in the evening, and eagerly arranged to have another evening meal in the Riad on our last night when we were also shown the local fire-pit where the homemade food was cooked for five hours and also where the local bread was made. The food was delicious, presented well and delightfully served. Marie and Hervé (our hosts) were very chatty and were very keen to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as it could be. We’d go back there in an instant, and would highly recommend it to others as a great central destination.

Can't think of anything

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights and i would not have changed a thing. The riad is super cute and the roof top area provides a cozy and beautiful space for the breakfast and just to hangout. And of course with a nice view to the koutoubia. Marie was extremely welcoming and helpful. She provided us with tips and ideas on how to organize our visit and even booked for us the Hamman which was a great addition close by the riad. The rooms are quite nice and super clean with everything you need (shampoo, shower gel, hair drier..). The riad is super well located near the main square, but because it is on a side street you don't hear any noise. A few meters away you have a street with shops that have anything you may need (bathroom, food, street food, pastries..). The food is one of the highlights. The breakfast is huge and everyday was different and healthy. We had to leave 2 days at 7am and they even gave the option of taking a breakfast bag or serving us the breakfast or just coffee beforehand. We had dinner at the riad and again, i would highly recommend, one of the best tagines we had! The final highlight and thank you, goes to the team (Zine and Abdoula), which go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed ! I would 100% recommend staying here.

Marie and Herve were great hosts. We were picked up by a private driver and from the square and we were accompanied to the Riad by someone who was carrying the luggage. Very convenient and safe. On arrival Marie took the time to explain everything and gave us some tips for the stay. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace with every day some different breads. The 2 staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is the perfect location in the medina. Close to the souk but an oases of rest. Next time in Marrakesh we will come back to this Riad. We’ve just returned from 4 nights at Dar Andamaure and had the best time. The place is beautiful and very peaceful, despite only being a 5 min walk from the main square and the souks. When we arrived we were invited up to the rooftop for a mint tea and Marie talked us through a map of the area which was really helpful as we’d never been to Morocco before. Breakfast is exceptional - fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bread and pastries all served by the excellent staff (big shout out to Zine who we spoke to most over our trip). Even though Marrakech is busy, we did feel very safe there and at the Riad especially. When you leave the hotel you leave your key with reception and ring a doorbell to be let in so you can’t accidentally lose your key. We stayed in Promesse de Lune room which was great - really comfy bed and bedding and enough space whilst still feeling authentic. We would definitely come back and recommend to others for a stay in Marrakech - merci Marie, Hervé, Zine and co!

With so many riads to choose from, it is very difficult to decide which one to book. For me it is about location, design and service so I chose Dar Andamaure based on the high level of positive reviews for these categories. Our first trip to Marrakech staying 4 nights here was everything we hoped it would be. Impeccable service by the whole team - Zin and Abdul thank you for making us feel special, beautifully prepared breakfasts (dinner is also delicious if you wish to eat here) and room/bathroom cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Nice to have the owner Herve there everyday to ensure a 5* service for guests. I also liked the fact that this is a smaller riad with 6 rooms as larger properties would be noisy. My advice would be to book and see for yourself exactly why there are so many positive reviews.

Nothing to dislike

Lovely Riad!! This was definitely the best Riad in our 1 week in Morocco. Everything looks brand new, very clean, and plenty of hot water! The AC worked very well and we had comfortable nights rest. The staff speak very good English and there is always someone to greet you with a smile (Zine was my favorite!). The location is very good for tourists — everything within walking distance. The breakfast is huge! The rooftop is lovely. The Riad is VERY quiet where you just hear birds chirping while in your room, the Riad is also located on a safe dead end alleyway. I could go on … :)

A mini refrigerator for water would of been nice. Otherwise nothing!

The riad is absolutely beautiful and comfortable, with lots of different areas to hang out and relax. I loved the way it smelled, and the soft towels and lovely shower gel (I even bought some to take home). Herve and the whole team were amazing. I know many others have already said the same, but they are attentive and helpful in every way. Herve recommended us some fantastic restaurants, including a very special one for my birthday. He also provided a local map and reassured us about things we weren't certain about in general, such as safety in the area and how to dress in public. Essentially, it's a lot more easy-going than some reports on the internet will have you believe. We were picked up from the airport after arrival (a service I believe is free for stays of 3+ nights), which meant we didn't have the uncertainty or stress of having to find the riad ourselves. After a car journey to the main square, we were escorted through the busy alleyways, and then some very quiet ones. Our natural westerner instinct was to be quite scared, but we soon found out there was nothing at all to be worried about. After that, we had no problem at all finding our way in and out. Just choose some landmarks to remember along the way and all is fine! Each morning we had an abundant and delicious breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, omelettes, sweet treats (plus an extra one for my birthday), fresh juice and coffee/tea on the rooftop, which was so beautiful and tranquil in the refreshing cooler morning air. A blissful start to the day. We are both so happy to have chosen Dar Andamaure as the base for our Marrakech adventure and absolutely recommend it for an authentic, safe, comfortable and welcoming experience. Interesting to know is that this is independently owned and run, whereas so many riads are now in the hands of chains who don't care about their clientele the way Herve and his team do. Thank you all for making our visit so special!

Really nothing, all was perfect!

Our stay at Dar Andamaure was simply delightful. The property itself was beautiful and meticulously maintained. The staff were not only friendly but also displayed a high level of professionalism throughout my stay. In particular, Marie, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure that every aspect of our visit was perfect. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone putting in that extra effort to ensure that my stay was unforgettable. Leaving was bittersweet as I had such an amazing time, but we are already looking forward to returning in the future. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dar Andamaure to others seeking a truly exceptional experience. Thank you so much.x

Everything was PERFECT. Highly recommended!!

For those who have been here, it is easy to understand why there are so many long reviews. Guests want to share everything. For those of you reading to make up your mind, it's all very, very, very good. The hosts, the staff, the cleanliness, the location, the breakfasts, the dinners, the quietness, the decor. Really, everything. And all of this very close to the vibrant Jemaa al Fnaa Square. To our hosts, thank you so much. We felt very welcomed in your home. Everything we needed, even those tings we didn’t know of, you provided for us. Our thanks also to all staff, particularly Abdu and Zine, that spoiled us during our stay. They did everything for us, always with a smile, enormous kindness, friendliness and a delight sense of humor. To the cook our congratulations for the amazing meals. Resuming, there are no more words to describe the extraordinary experience all of you provided us in our first time in Morocco and Africa. We will certainly be back. To all, ours sincerely thanks.
