Super host made us feel really welcome. Hotel is lovely, beautifully decorated, nice comfy bed, big sofa, fridge & safe. It's a traditional Riad so lovely and cool inside without need of airconditioning. There are shared bathrooms on each floor (3 in total) and only 5 rooms so never an issue there. The House Buntings & Sparrows were a delight to watch whilst eating breakfast (Bread, Croissant, Pancake, Tea/Coffee, Orange Juice, Fried/Boiled Egg). Location is excellent, right in the centre of the city close to the shops and restaurants. Area as a whole felt very safe and there's a little shop right on the corner selling snacks & bottled water.

I had a great stay at Dar Margot. The room was as described, including breakfast. The location of the Dar is really close to the buzzing life of the Souks (10 mins), yet very calm. The highlight of the housing definitely lies in the hosts, Hassan was extremely helpful during the whole stay, including helping me to get a sim card, providing visit recommendations, booking a taxi to the airport, etc. Michel was also very kind and provided me some extra suggestions of places to visit. The bathrooms were especially clean and the terrace was very nice.

Taxi cannot drop you at the entrance of the hotel. If you do not have internet, I would recommend to download the offline map of Marrakech to find your way to the hotel. Once check-in, it is super easy to find how to get to the hotel.

If you want to feel the authenticity of Marrakech instead of living in an anonymous hotel far from the city centre, this is clearly the best choice. 20 minutes’ walk from most of the sightseeing, 10 minutes from souks. Michel is a nice host, really helpful with a pocket full of interesting stories about Marrakech and Morocco.

I came alone without any knowledge about Morocco and I left with countless stories and new life-long friends. The place is in a great location, clean and welcoming. However it was the staff and Michel that made this stay truly unforgettable and made me feel like I am home. Michel's recommendations were spot on from the very beginning which ment that I have discovered great places, avoided stomach problems and any scams in my journey. I have reconnected with my jewish heritage, with nature and people from around the world. I am definitely coming back!

Dar Margot is a lovely, cute and very friendly hotel. Our two night stay was, as many other reviews mention, too short. The location is perfect for exploring the back streets of the Medina, being located very close to the hustle and bustle of Fna El Jemaa, but not right in the midst of chaos. The room is comfortable, warm, and the breakfast is delicious. The terrace is lovely any time of day to relax, read, or talk to the knowledgeable hosts. Thank you especially to Hassan, Esma, Zahera and Michel for making our stay extra amazing and laughing with us every day. We hope to come back some day soon :)!

The location of this lovely accommodation was perfect. Easy to find (in Marrakech medina context) and walkable late in the evening even with a suitcase in the narrow and crowded streets of the medina. The room was really charming. Breakfast on the roof top terrace in the morning sun was absolutely marvellous. Anyhow, the best was definitely the people. Thank you once again. I came there in a bad mood and behaved badly. Still Jacob and the owner were both warm and welcoming, just great. This is most certainly my place in Marrakech!

If you want a place in the heart of Medina filled with calm, good energy, a magnificent host - cheerful and very helpful then this is your best choice. Top of building is gorgeous filled with traditional art to relax, have a smoke or enjoy home made food. All is very clean and decorations are picked with great taste. Was an amazing experience.

I liked everything and everyone, it's a good value for an affordable accommodation.

This is a very nice place to stay, super clean, nicely decorated, safe, secure, and quiet. It is walking distance from the traditional market and main tourist sites. There is a two-tier roof top veranda, where breakfast is served and guests can hangout. The real star of the show however, is Michel the owner (the hotel is named after one of his daughters). He is simply fantastic, really helpful, and knowledgeable. He speaks excellent English, Swedish, and other languages too. I stayed there with my family of four and we would stay again.

From the moment we arrived Michel made us feel welcome, he showed us through the Riad which was immaculate full of homely touches and attention to detail, the bathroom the cleanest l have ever seen in all my travels! The kitchen staff were real treasures and Michels family are lovely. He assisted us with taxis, bus travel, where to eat, what to avoid and walked us to the square. Highly recommended and l would stay there again if l retuned to Marrakech.

My stay was very lovely. The bed was comfortable and I slept through the whole night. Hassan was VERY helpful and also printed our boarding passes for us (€2 charge). The WiFi worked without any issues. Would definitely stay again and consider this our ‘Moroccan Home’ 😍

I have no issues with this property. Hot water, spacious rooms, comfortable beds , good WiFi and just a short walk from the main square. Brilliant
