The hotel is conveniently located for Bounhanath stupa which is around 10 minutes walking distance away but because its location is away from main roads, the hotel is incredibly calm and peaceful. Our room on the first floor was very stylish and decorated with high quality furnishings. Well equipped with fridge, tv, safe, hairdryer and kettle with tea/coffee supplies and complementary bottled water. Very comfortable king bed providing a relaxing nights sleep. Breakfast has a range of food options with eggs cooked to order plus various hot dishes, yoghurt, fruit, toast and cakes. We had a late lunch one day and two dinners in the restaurant and all were excellent. A good base if staying in the area.

Beautiful hotel, felt like a modern room with a view of the monastry. Good size and great bathroom Lovely reception space to rest / read in, large pool and good breakfast as well as dinner. Close to a lot of other monasteries in the area with some good cafes / restaurants for Nepal. This location is good for anyone wanting to be closer to the airport, not preparing for a hike (ie. Don’t need to be in Thamel to collect any gear), and wanting to appreciate some of the Buddhist monastries. We stayed in Thamel the first time, which is better for the food options (particularly if you’ve come from India and need a break), however it’s busy, the traffic to get there from the airport is awful and unreliable and it’s hard to see true Kathmandu.

Dolmaling hotel is nice and cleaning. especially the stuffs are kindness and helpful. it’s a really quiet and lovely place, we both enjoyed all the things there.

We only stayed one night, but this was the perfect hidden gem for that one night. The location was perfect to see the Boudhanath Stupa (walking distance) and felt like a peaceful sanctuary to come back to after walking through the vibrant energy of Kathmandu. The room was clean and cozy and the staff were helpful. Sitting in their courtyard just outside the temple with a cup of ginger honey lemon tea was perfection, especially after finishing a long trek. It's also nice knowing the proceeds go to help the Monastery.

We like everything about this hotel. It is located just 7 to 10mins walking from the Stupa, away from the noise and crowd. The rooms are clean and the vibes of the hotel is just great. The variety of the breakfast buffet is much more than other hotels. Staff are friebdly and helpful especially the manager, Anand, he made sure our requests were all answered. Being a frequent visitor to Nepal, I can confidently said this is the best hotel in Boudha area. Oh and the prayer hall in the middle of the hotel compound adds a touch of serenity to the environment and is great for those who like to meditate there.

The cleanliness of the place was exceptional for this country, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay. The modern amenities and decor contributed to an overall contemporary and refreshing ambiance. What stood out the most, however, was the staff. They were consistently helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my needs were met with a smile.

Every part of my experience met or exceeded my expectations.

Sonam at the Reception was incredibly professional and efficient. She made our stay extremely comfortable and smooth. Can’t praise her enough for her outstanding service. The entire staff at the venue was very dedicated and hard working.

I’d love to live at this hotel. This was by far my favourite place to stay at and I’m a frequent traveler, so that’s goes to say a lot.

We stayed about 7 days in Hotel Dolmaling. Really very nice Hotel in Boudha area, very close to the big Stupa. We have been very happy there. Very nice breakfast, also dinner. Nice garden and swimming pool. The personal very friendly. Any time we will stay at Dolmaling. Beside is also a Boudhist Monastry.

Good selection of items , lots of fruit , nice masala tea, excellent omelettes delivered to our table by the cook Excellent meal in the evening overlooking the pool Evening flight , so we were able to stay next to the pool and read, buy a light lunch at the outdoor kitchen

Breakfast coffee was instant , not fresh

Breakfast was excellent, the Tibetan food in particular. Good food overall in the restaurant. Great staff, funny and helpful. It was so peaceful at the hotel compared to the rest of Kathmandu. You can’t beat having a monastery in the garden. Five minutes walk to the Boudhanath stupa.
