Nice spacious room with a good bed and good shower. Kept very clean and in a cosy old building.

Lots of noise from my neighbour during the first night, who decided to talk super loud on the phone around 1-2am but this isn't the hotel's fault and they do provide earplugs. My key card wasn't working when I arrived at 1am standing in the cold and rain, but luckily the night guard could be contacted by phone and sorted this out, so not really a complaint as it was sorted. The checkout time of 10:30am felt a bit early.

I am very satisfied with my stay, the hostel is very well located, close to the bus stop, the central square and several good cafes and restaurants. The bathroom and shower are inside the room. The reception and service staff are extremely kind and helpful. I was late arriving and checking in, but it was resolved without any problems. I checked out before breakfast and they prepared me a kit to take on the trip. I will definitely stay again, I had nice days in Alkmaar.

The rooms are located around the common area, which is not a problem when guests respect silence after 10pm. A little noise at night, because not everyone has this common sense sometimes, but nothing that bothered me too much.

Amazing location, lovely staff, simple rooms but very clean, tasty breakfast. Staff made a packed breakfast for us on our last day, when we had to leave early. Really appreciated!

The rooms in the hostel are basic. If you need soft beds, want TV in your room, or struggle with little bit of noise or light at night this isn't for you. For my teenage son and me it was perfect.

The location was great and I really liked that our room had a private bathroom. The hostel itself looked nice as well, and I appreciate the small kitchenette.

I knew that I reserved a mixed dormitory, but I didn't appreciate, that they put me as the only female in a room full of men. There were obviously no problems, but I did sleep with my self-defence gasspray under my pillow.

Perfect location in the centre of town, but down a quiet street, so no noise in the room. Room was tiny with only a stairwell window, and very little hanging space with a small shower room, but we weren't there for the facilities, just some where to sleep whilst visiting relatives. We had a private room so can't comment on the "hostel/dorm" facilities but a lovely building, with very friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. Beds were super-comfortable with nice pillows and duvets. Nice easy arrangement for night entry and late check in via the key-safe system.

Nothing really to complain about it. You get what you pay for with an excellent breakfast that will keep you going all day!

Beds in the dorms are of good length, I am 1.90m and easily fit, so great. Nice relaxing communal area and great restaurant as part of the property. Right in the centre of Alkmaar and of short walking distance of many fun bars

After few days I started feeling the iron bars below the matras. And you need a bit of good luck with the roommates so that it does not smell like drugs/weed in the room.

I was there in a quiet period, but all te rooms open to a central place. I'm not sure what happens when people come late in the night. The window next to the door could not be covered. So it was impossible to make the room 100% dark at night. But all minor issue for me.

I liked the cleanless, the location, and the layout of the hostel. Our bed and pillow were very, very comfortable . The staff members were very helpful and informative. I liked the vibe of the whole place. We did not choose breakfast because plenty of coffee shops are around with quality breakfast I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to get great value for decent money.

The hostel is near the cheese market every Friday. I stayed in the early summer on June that, although 4 beds room without windows, but the fan is enough air for refreshing. And the staff is so friendly during my stay for one night.

first searching is not easy from my google map walking from the Alkmaar train station around 40 minutes when I have a big luggage.
