Fabulous location on the waterfront, very quiet and comfortable hotel. Meals were well presented and tasted wonderful. The single room was very spacious and quiet, with a high quality bed and linen. All the reception and catering staff were unfailingly polite and professional, but see my adverse comments elsewhere.

The hotel is cashless and also isn't happy with debit cards. Only really accept credit cards, which I choose not to hold. This lead to a couple of incidents, witnessed by fellow guests, where there was a problem paying for meals. Also they run an incentive scheme offering a daily discount for not cleaning the rooms. I accepted, but the vouchers were not honoured against my room charges or my meals. They would accept against gift purchases, but this wasn't what I agreed to. Please sort this out.

Very clean hotel. Professional and helpful staff that was easy to communicate with. We needed an iron and ironing board for some dresses as we were in the city for a wedding, and the nice lady at the reception made sure to bring us both and iron and ironing board while we were away. The towels get changed every day, the bathroom is very comfortable, and the location is excellent - right next to De Waterweg - perfect for those interested in the boats and ships going into the port of Rotterdam. The breakfast food is very good too! The hotel is easily accessible both by car and by foot - very close to the Maassluis Centrum metro station that can take you easily to Rotterdam or to Hoek van Holland. Overall a great experience!

The ACs in the whole hotel were not working because of a temporary situation. However, there was a big window in the bathroom that kept the room cool - luckily it was not that hot outside.

IT was clean, nice location and the staff was great.

There were not complementary water, coffee or tea in the room. You had to buy everything which was not nice especially when you paid so much for the room. Those are basic things to have in a hotel. Also they followed me to the room to remind me about a dinner bill which they could have put in to my room bill and I would easily pay when leaving. I was going to check out anyway.

We were a family group of 9. We visited Hotel Maassluis for our son's wedding to a Dutch girl. The wedding reception was only 4km away so this is why we chose the hotel. We loved the location near the water, the seafairing/boutique style of the hotel was really nice. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was great. Very happy with this choice of hotel.

Can't think of anything.

WONDERFUL LOCATION ON THE RIVER . vERY COMFORTABLR .

All was perfect ;great dinner and wines but when i ordered coffee they refused a glass of tap water . I have to say i was shocked and the explanation given to me was unsatisfactory ie they cannot charge for tap water . I did offer to pay on basis i was doing my environmental "bit" by not having bottled water to water down my coffee . A weird experience . So unhappy I would not recommend hotel .

Lovely location, nice restaurant, great service, friendly staff, spacious room, good bed, good bathroom.

Our room was at the back of the hotel looking out at the back carpark, so little privacy, we therefore felt we had to keep the blinds closed. Apart from this we couldn’t have a window open at night because there was a big airco unit right next to our window which was very noisy!

The renovation of this old building into a modern hotel has created a very elegant and comfortable place to stay. The shipping activity on the canal is constant and varied. Our large room overlooked the small harbour. The furnishing were of good quality and very comfortable. The bathroom spacious. The conservatory restaurant also has an outside terrace and is well used by non-hotel guests. The menu was varied and we enjoyed our choices. There was a large breakfast buffet. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Was a short trip to visit Keukenhof garden. We chose the best place, because the view is absolutely gorgeous and the hotel is very elegant and comfortable. From free parking, rooms and restaurants with great views and amazing food, best breakfast options. Also the professional service and hospitality staff made our trip unique. We definitely will be back next time, for sure we will stay longer.

Great location . This hotel offers the highest standard in fixtures, fittings , food and staff. It felt very luxurious but at the same time very comfortable.

We were told that there was a bike shed. In fact it’s a small covered shelter, which was full when we arrived, which we were told is covered by cctv. Our bikes were ok but I had hoped for something more secure.

The location is quite unique - with a clear view of the Maas and of the canal. It is also very quiet. We chose this hotel since we had a ferry to catch the next day. The proximity of the P&O ferry terminal makes it a good choice.

The carpark is quite small - if you arrive late you will have some difficulty parking, though there is free parking nearby. The breakfast is OK but nothing to get excited about. The bread is poor quality but "normal" for the Netherlands. What I found disappointing were the pancakes which had clearly been bought in frozen and thawed - badly thawed at that since they were sticking to each other. Bad pancakes in the Netherlands - can't get much worse than that.
