This place is a Gem. Not really in the city center and behind outdoor activity places so you didn't expect much but the hotel was great. New and relatively modern and right on the beach. The room was fine, the breakfast had a super selection. And I I felt for the first time on our trip that the price was right. - I can also recommend the restaurant right across the way. - The food was really tasty.

I think the only thing that stood out was the people at the front desk. The had much of the indifference of those at a doctors office. They were friendly because the had to be. - But once you got passt them everything was fine.

Very quiet location, outside the city centre. Excellent breakfast. Good beds. The bikes could be stored in a place outside but covered.

The room smelt a bit old. Strict rules by check in (not possible to check ahead of time).

Great location for a few days stay in the Netherlands

We had a ground floor room with a door directly to the car park. We did not feel comfortable opening this during the night to get ventilation.

Enviroment,beach ,waves, place were to spend a nice weekend or holiday for a few days...

Room because we didn't have a nice balcony ..we only see the roof in the morning from our bed ...😊

The room gets warm in night and due to mosquito attack, cant open the doors. Should have measures to cool the room a bit down.

This was our second time in Strandhotel Vigilante in a year. It is perfectly located by the beach. The parking is available next to the hotel and free of charge. We stayed at a fully renovated room and it was what we expect from a nice hotel room. Breakfast was great and we also ate at the hotel restaurant every night which was very nice. The Afsluitdijk museum is quite close by car and a good attraction to visit for families. Also there are potential beach activities but was not suitable due to winter season. So overall the hotel strikes a good balance between price, and service quality in the winter season. We plan to visit in the summer once more.

Location, cleanliness, staff

No coffee/tea or refrigerator in room, shower facilities without a door so everything got wet, soap but no soap dish. The price given by the hotel was more than €30 cheaper than booking.com

The location, the restaurant, we’re both great

I paid for a sea view that had plant on the roof directly in front of the balcony. You could not sit there nicely as a balcony space and enjoy it

Hotel was situated right by the beach so that was super convenient for windsurfing. We could also look out to the water to check conditions. Everything was clean and comfortable, wifi worked well. Staff were very helpful and friendly 😊 Restaurant downstairs served good food.

Helpful staff, had a fault in my booking but they helped me out and were really flexible about it. It had a fantastic view of IJsselmeer with a cute balcony.
