This was the best accomodation of our trip. James was brilliant on check in and gave us lots of information and advice on must do things on our trip, including taking the scenic drive through the Catlins to Dunedin. We were really thankful for this as we took his advice and had the best day exploring waterfalls and lighthouses. The room was so clean, spacious and a lot of care has gone into the attention to detail. Was really well priced as well. Can’t recommend it highly enough. If you are in the area you must stay here.

Not a single thing. This motel is great!

Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Gave us several recommendations, not just for Invercargill, but places to see and on our way to Oamaru. Recommendations were spot on. We especially enjoyed the Lost Gypsy Gallery in Papatowai. The room was spacious with a decent kitchenette. Allowed us to prepare a light breakfast and sandwiches for the road. LOVED having Netflix! Got to finish watching season two of Yellowstone! Walking distance to Queens Park and downtown Invercargill.

Our room (studio with spa bath) didn’t have an outdoor sitting area.

We had a Two Bedroom unit with bathroom, lounge and a kitchen/dining. Exactly what we wanted and was pretty much a home away from home. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was a nice quiet area. Location is great, close enough to town but not too close. We had a car and it was a good spot to drive from, in any direction. Amazing value for money.

The interior of the unit we had is a bit older and kind of tired looking. This didn’t bother us at all but don’t expect brand new facilities.

Loved the spa bath. We had had a full days travel on one boat and two flights and were shattered. It was the best treat ever. So good having extra towels as in my enthusiasm I dropped one into the full bath. Lovely bed. Everything you need in the kitchen with a full oven and good sized fridge. Spotlessly clean.

Sad that we only stayed one night. This motel is the perfect base. Not noisy and within walking distance of local grocery chains. Would be our first choice if ever getting late or early flights out of Invercargill or if we needed a prolonged stay.

From the warm and friendly welcome until we left we could not fault the lovely staff, or our accommodation. Extremly clean, staff so helpful. close to everything = awesome. So Highley recommend to others and we will be back to stay. Loved our stay so much. Throughout our journer around the South Island " Tower Lodge Motel" met the highest standard in everyway possible, from friendliness of staff, Cleaninest and space of room. N to all shops etc.

We stayed for two nights either side of doing the Rakiura great walk on Stewart island (something every Kiwi should do). The motel is great value, very large room, huge comfy bed, great shower pressure, great selection of tv and media viewing and full kitchen. What we enjoyed the most though was the warm, friendly, down to earth southern hospitality of the hosts. On the day of our last nights booking the ferry back from stewart island was cancelled in the last minute which was going to be a disaster for us. But a quick call with James at the motel and he said he would ferry our stored luggage to the airport the next day and cancel our booking for the night free of charge. Which was a really nice offer and helped us greatly. Luckily though, we managed to organise a chartered flight and made it back for the night to a hot shower, hot meal and comfy bed . We would happily stay at tower lodge again and fully recommend it.

Everything ! The location was very quiet and convenient, our room was spacious, very clean and well equipped, excellent value. The king size bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent. Newly renovated and fast wifi, great choice of tv options and close to shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful hosts who gave good suggestions about what to see locally.

Very clean, had everything we needed, good heating, liked that there was a TV in the bedroom and the lounge. Great water pressure in the shower, and towels large and fluffy. The sheets had a lovely 'feel', and duvet was warm. The host was friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced.

A really minor thing, but the lid on the kettle was very hard to remove. The bed was firmer than I like, but that is a personal thing.

The 4 of us girls! (We like to say!) Actually 69+, all agreed the beds were so cozy and comfy, just the best. Staff very helpful, one of the four left behind her samsung tablet under a pillow, and the kind owner rung to say, so luckily as women doing we were still shopping in invgill, so we able to go back and pick it up, she was very grateful, even tho she hadn't missed it, but would of when she got home! Thx for the stay, would recommend to others and would Def come back again!! And we beat the Aussies in netball!! Thx Viv and friends.😀😃

Spacious warm unit, really comfy bed, having a separate bedroom was a bonus. Decent size kitchen for preparing and cooking food. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Having mobility issues it was a little tight getting around the bottom of the bed to go into the bathroom. The shower not so great as very small and the shower curtain kept blowing inwards from the fan getting stuck on oneself.
