We loved this place! This was our favorite accomodation (best out of 7!) of our holiday and we would definitely come back! Location: Just outside of Kaikoura town (5mins drive), quiet 2 mins walk from the coast, with lots of birds. The place is spacious, very clean, modern, well maintained and cosy (fire place) apartment (we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment), with fully equipped kitchen, aircons and 2 bathrooms. The staff is very nice and the lady at reception was absolutely lovely and helped us by sharing tips about ways how we could explore the wildlife in the area. We asked for an extra bed which fitted easily in the second bedroom between the twin beds. Wifi was great too!

Lovely spacious apartment with a well decked out kitchen and cozy lounge with the big gas heater. Nice and quiet area and a very short drive into the township. I'm likely to come back here, we had a couple of nights but it's the sort of place that would be a comfortable base of operations for a week of exploring the area. The apartment's private BBQ area is a nice touch and under different circumstances I would like to have taken advantage of it. We were provided a little cot for our infant and it was a good sturdy portable jobby, felt safe for him.

Some small things: heat pump internal unit louvres squeeking loudly, some doors need an oil, couches getting a bit old and too soft for my liking (I'd imagine oldies would struggle to get out of them).

So much to like! Great friendly welcome and brilliant location. The apartment had two bedrooms with two ensuites - both very clean and well stocked with equipment. Bed was super comfy 🙂

One bedroom can be locked off, and had it's own kettle/fridge etc and air con. Unfortunately the bedroom attached to the main lounge doesn't have its own air con - unit in the lounge only, so the bedroom was a little too warm.

Great apartments with well stocked kitchens in a lovely setting. Everything was very comfortable.

We had booked a 2 bedroom (1 room with 2 single beds and 1 with a double) with an extra cot. We didn't get this, instead we got a 1 bedroom that connected to a studio. It wasn't ideal because the person on the cot had to go through another bedroom to get to a bathroom. We asked the front desk but there were no other options available at the time. It was a bit frustrating as we felt the booking option of a 2 bedroom was deceiving.

Clean, fresh and modern. In a nice quiet residential area with parking- suited us but you do need to drive to get to town which might not suit everyone.

If you book a studio, it’s connected via adjoining (locked) door to the apartments. We were lucky the apartment at ours was empty, but it would feel a bit awkward if not. Hairdryer didn’t work also, and was no bath mat and shower soaked the rest of the bathroom.

Nice covenient location, easy parking near room. Room was a very tidy studio, comfortable bed, nice shower. Perfect for our one night stay. Reception got us a table for dinner on a holiday weekend which was very nice.

Sliding doors as the room entrance seems to be a thing in New Zealand, and they always seem to not be maintained and very, very difficult to open. A little lube now and then would go a long way.

It was comfortable and spacious both inside and outside

We stayed in studio number 5 which is right next to just normal 5, I don’t know if it was because of the long travel or I just wasn’t really thinking but on arrival I just went to number 5 because it was the first thing I saw which made for an awkward encounter of the people staying in that room and then having to go further along all in all it was pretty funny but there could probably be a little better signage so people know to go around the corner 😂😅

I checked in late so unfortunately wasn't able to check in in person but the hosts left welcoming and clear instructions for me. The studio was extremely clean and comfy and overall a pleasant stay :)

The hot water in the shower seemed to have a restricted thermostat, it couldn't get as hot as i would have liked. And there were small lights on wall control panels i that wasn't sure i could switch off or cover at night that were just a tad too bright.

Nice and clean room, all in ground level. Easy to find. There was a fridge, microwave and kettle in the room. I liked the tiny pation in front of the room. Comfortable beds. Free parking near all of the rooms. Quiet location. You can see such a clear night sky since there isn't much light pollution nearby!

Location is a bit far out from the city, but if you have a car it won't matter. You wouldn't really want to stay here if you don't have a car. Check out time could be a bit later.

Once we had upgraded to the full apartment it was very comfortable. The facilities were excellent.

Initially we had book a room attached to an apartment. The booking.com photos were a bit deceiving. The room we were first shown was very small, ok for an overnight stay but no more . We were able to up grade fortunately and all facilities were good and comfortable. We had requested two single beds but this had to be rearranged. All was sorted within an hour or so
