Great accommodation with everything we needed. Good wi-fi and Android TV with Netflix. Where this property really stands out is with the incredibly helpful service from Jason and Pam. We have been unexpectedly held up in Masterton for a week due to car issues, but they have gone out of their way to help us with luggage storage and rebooking and late checkouts at short notice as the situation changes on a daily basis. I cannot thank them enough for their friendly and kind hospitality.

It was great to find accommodation for large families. Was grateful for that. The rooms were well equipped and very clean.

I walked to the office from the driveway entrance as they don't have parking by the office. The door was locked when we arrived. It was 7:06 pm so I rang the after hours number as we had booked about 10 minutes prior to turning up. It was a last minute booking as the weather conditions were really bad for travelling home. When the manager / owner was eventually contacted, he called and said he'll be there in about 5 mins. I wasn't impressed walking to and fro in the rain to wait even longer. That's my only gripe.

The hot water in the studio apartment was turned up way, way too hot, in fact dangerously hot. It hurt our hands to wash the dishes. This is a risk to children. No hot water in NZ should be set at any higher than 50 degrees Celsius. The shower also is burning hot and was difficult to get to a cool enough temperature. This sems to be an unnecessary waste of power, heating your water to so high a temperature.

Rooms could do with aircon. Water pressure in shower could be better but not a Big deal

Plenty of space. Comfortable and warm. James is a very accommodating, courteous host.

Shower mixer was hard to regulate to a comfortable warmth, either scolding hot or freezing, flow was slow which made long hair deep rinsing impossible n squirted out the side like an old man takin a..... Ok for us men but women will expect better.

Loved how nice and spacious the place is, very convenient location! Very very clean and just such amazing welcoming vibes once you step inside the studio! Area for the kids to play, nice little seating out front of your room. Swimming pool (which we didnt get to try) kids loved it alot! Booked at last minute but happy to have found this place as we really enjoyed our stay! And 100% would stay again

Unfortunately the mattress in the main room was very firm, possibly an old type spring one? Maybe throw a mattress topper on them or replace mattress for comfort then ratings of this place would be a 10/10 . Side note - on arrival our TV was faulty we emailed in and they were thankful for letting them know!!. But this was not any problem for our stay!

Loved the price, easy location, good contact free check in, easy to follow instructions via email with Key codes etc, friendly staff when they did call me. Quiet rooms. Everything was pretty good clean tidy. Kids liked it.

Hard uncomfortable bed is the only thing I can fault it for, and out of date milk. Easily missed tho, no huge biggie. Could have rang for replacements but didn't end up using.

I travelled with a group of secondary school aged hockey players to Masterton. We had a tournament in Clareville. The motel was conveniently located within 15 mins of the hockey turf. Both Chinmay and Pam were excellent with their communication. Nothing was every too much trouble. Was great to have access to the pool. Villa was very comfortable. And was perfect for providing a base for the players to gather. Loved the icebox in the freezer and the toilet spray in the toilets...a nice touch.

Oven in the villa was slow and not so convenient for heating up our trays of precooked meals. Would have been good to have had some paper towels in the kitchen area for wiping up spills. The shower in the villa and in one of the units didn't have much pressure- just a dribble/trickle at times. We had to have a go at fixing it ourselves as there weren't staff on site to help us sort it out.

Asked for id in advance, but not easily achieved with phone. Several attempts failed. Resolved with some humour but requested again by colleague next day. The key would barely fit in the lock: one or the other damaged? Studio 8. Washbasin had plug missing so making shaving impossible. g

The room had most things I needed to stay for a couple of nights while working; some of the things that are missing at other places - a coffee plunger, hairdryer, clothes drying rack, iron (which I didn’t use), heater and an extra blanket.

The photo I saw on booking.com was of the larger unit, not the queen studio I booked which is a bit misleading and I didn’t click that it was one room only. It’s a bit pricey, but so is everywhere else at the moment.
