a truly wonderful property. all of the staff are exceptional. fantastic breakfast in the courtyard in the morning. great wifi, and shady areas around the hotel to work (all open air). rooms incredibly clean and updated, slept SO comfortably every night due to a great mattress, fluffy pillows and plush comforter. small, cool pool to cool off in after a day of exploring. location couldn’t be better - but it’s also very quiet for a good rest. we had 5 days here and while it was enough to see Leon, we didn’t want to leave this hotel. would highly recommend.

Breakfast each morning was delicious, especially the fresh-brewed Nicaraguan coffee from Matagalpa. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was exceptional and very reasonably priced. All the hotel staff were friendly and provided very good service. Secured parking lot across the street. Can’t say enough good things about Hotel La Perla which was first class!

Classic Leon Antique 3.5 -4 star Hotel. Attention to detail. Nicely appointed rooms with cold A/C, antique furniture throughout the hotel, beautiful courtyards, nice modern pool, good breakfast. Old time bar. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Decent Breakfast. Rooms all named after poetry from the famed Dario Rubio. Felt like a time capsule. Very comfy and super safe!

Note: the hotel is under remodeling so some of the facade of the walls etc.. are being prepped for repair/ painting, but really did not take away from the over all pleasant atmosphere of the hotel.

Staff were amazing. Breakfast was great and the original hotel and interior courtyard is beautiful.

They added a wing of rooms that did not convey the charm of the original hotel, and charged us the same rate for the inferior rooms as they did for the nicer/ original rooms. The pool was very small and surrounded by rooms rather than greenery or space, so it was not enjoyable to spend an afternoon at. We headed out to Coco Calala and enjoyed the pool there, instead.

The staff were very nice. Milton was very helpful. Alberto Cordoba explained things very well during our checkout. Alberto has excellent communication skills and would be a great hotel manager in the future.

Fantastic location, clean, friendly helpful staff. On site restaurant provided fantastic quality traditional breakfasts and evening meals.

Rooms a little dark as there was very little natural light

Great location. beautiful colonial city palace with a wonderful patio/garden for breakfast.

A lot of room seem not having window. but that reflects the time that the building was constructed. So it is part of the deal and therefor not too bad.

Absolutely fantastic location and the staff were so so helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the courtyard for a few pre-dinner beers was a quiet haven in amidst the city chaos!

I didn’t clock from the photos that our bedroom didn’t have a window, felt a bit claustrophobic so if this might bother you it’s worth checking with the hotel what room you have.

Breakfast was good, liked that you could walk to different areas with no problems, liked the secure parking. Nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel La Perla is a beautiful building, the room was a great size. What made our stay we're the staff who were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us. Fantastic service!
