Overall, very high-quality furnishings and a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was very good and there is also a hotel parking close to the hotel. Sauna is included, also bathrobe and towels. beautiful neighborhood. I liked the Christmas Dekoration.

I booked a standard double room with sea view for 3 nights and was very disappointed with the room we received. Our room had not much in common with the pictures on Booking. In addition there was hardly any space for suitcases or clothes in this room. Glad we had only hand luggage.

Excellent location in the very center of a town, delicious breakfast, excellent restaurant, in the lobby there is an unusual fireplace, where wood burns all the time, which gathers the guests, it is an extremely nice place.

Our room disappointed us, it was dark, quite small, cramped, the bathroom also very small, the room did not recall those who are on the hotel webpage. Plus the staff, concierge, who had to come to help us, but did not show up for an hour, the staff at the reception makes the impression that it is still the best hotel in the city where it is difficult to find a place, so why try to be extra nice, the guest will stay there anyway...

Great location overlooking the water in Ålesund, lovely lounge area with an open fire and general ambience with lots of Scandinavian design touches. Complimentary sauna and swimming platform were a perfect way to end the day. Restaurant is nice, with simple, well cooked food and the breakfasts had lots of choice and all high quality breads, pastries, cold meat and fish, fruit and yoghurt. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The property was fantastic. Everything we had hoped for in this historic harbor area. Stylish with utmost homage to its historic roots. The location is perfect. And after a very long, strenuous drive, the greeting and checkin was the best! Huge shout out to Fredrik for his quick response to distressed American travelers in Norway! At 10:15 pm, undaunted by the fact that the dining room closed at 9:30 pm, he rallied the waitstaff to prepare a hearty Norwegian cheese platter, chose a perfect wine to suit my robust nature and seated us in a proper nordic setting. We are ever grateful for the hospitality!

Our only displeasure was the parking situation. While understandable there is no on premise parking, having to “compete” for public parking is a bit stressful. The spaces are small, yet the vehicles are mostly very large. Be sure the rent a small car…

Beautiful hotel, relaxing, well decorated, great sauna.

Considering the price of the hotel in a small provincial town, in November (not high season) seems a little cheeky to charge 350 nok extra for the outdoor bubble bath. The cost is literally soap and water. I also had an unpleasant experience with a well-groomed blonde woman at reception, who berated me for putting more than two logs on the fireplace at a time. Otherwise, everyone at the hotel was professional and warm.

Alesund is a stunning town and Hotel Brosundet is right in the heart of it. The building exterior is gorgeous and matched by the lobby and rooms. Be sure to make a reservation at the restaurant in advance! We ate in the cafe and still had a lovely dinner, then stopped by the on-site bar for delicious cocktails. Overall it was an excellent location, clean and modern rooms, and all the amenities needed.

Perfect location! The overnight parking garage is also close by. Book the hot tubs in advance it’s very relaxing. Our room was big it can actually fir four guest, but we appreciated the space for two. So much room for our things. Breakfast was also perfect, and the dining area is spacious, clean and very photogenic :) The lobby has a seating area that is also relaxing you would want to sit there and sip their all-day coffee or hot chocolate.

None. We would stay here again if we find ourselves back in Alesund!

Perfect location right in the center of Alesund. Very cool renovation of historical buildings. Great breakfast. Only drawback--room got a bit stuffy and "close" (top floor, could not open the window much, but had a fan to use). Great walking from the hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel and the breakfast is outstanding. The staff are great and sitting by the fire in the main lobby is a real treat. You will not be disappointed with this hotel. It has a sauna and fjord plunge area. The hotel feels so comfortable and warm. Marianne greats you with a smile at breakfast every morning and all the staff are so kind.

A comfortable and well designed hotel right in the centre of Ålesund. We enjoyed the sauna and swimming from the dock. We ate in the Apotekergata no. 5 restaurant and the food was superb. Overall, the staff were excellent.

There is nowhere to put your clothes (ie. Closet, drawers etc) -What are you supposed to do; pile them on the floor?
