I was looking for a room in Alta and this turned out as the best option. The location is a bit remote, but it's worth every kilometer once you get there. They have several different types of cabins, the surrounding is well kept. I stayed at one of the cabins, the room and the bathrooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable. If you arrive at dinner time, you may get a meal there, too (for an extra charge, of course). The breakfast was rich and tasty.

The room had some hangers for clothes, but no wardrobe or shelves for the luggage items. A small desk would be nice too, if you want to use your laptop.

- Way too narrow beds, slippery topper, I happened to be falling down at night because the topper was sliding down. - Slippery floor in the bathroom and bedroom, water gets literally everywhere while showering, hard to sweep it dry so you tend to bring the water into the bedroom and the floor gets even more slippery. I slipped so badly I nearly killed myself!

Fabulously helpful staff. Devid went out of his way at meeting customer needs. Cottage was spacious enough for two people. Easy access to the woods and the waterfall. Self service sauna and bbq facilities brilliant.

Bathroom/shower too small and very basic. Room lacked a dressing mirror. Kitchen was poorly equipped for self catering. Evening ‘buffet’ at the Lodge consisted of 3 different stews and some bread. Very basic and bland. Also overly priced at almost 30€ per person.

the location and the surroundings is just fabulous all the stuff but especially the main host that accept us was sincerely nice and welcoming, a thing hard to have nowdays.. the dinner and the breakfast were totally good, fresh and tasty (vegeterian friendly..) the cottage was small but cosy and clean

nothing really just to acknowledge that getting by car is preferable well, the shower is a bit small for big guys..

Great staff, very accommodating service, good food options for dietary restrictions, good self-service sauna, great information for first time visitors, convenient information for tourists and first-timers along with booking activities, looking forward to come back and book again for the next visit.

Breakfast was great and so was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Made you feel right at home. The location is a bit far from town but its worth it if you're looking to be immersed in nature. The lodge offers lots of tours and activities.

The cabin we stayed in didnt have a working stove which was a bummer but not a deal deal breaker.

Very friendly staff and good breakfast! Nice small cabin(s) located in the middle of nature, very close to the Alta Canyon route starting point. Cabin equipped with needed appliences such as fridge, kettle etc. Cabin was very clean and the yard was very well kept as well. Accommodation for people who love nature and cozy feeling.

Toilet in the cabin was quite small. The road which leads to the fells goes across the yard and there is some traffic during the high season.

Great location, with nature and walks available from the lodge. The scenery on the drive to the lodge is fantastic. Great area for northern lights viewing if you have clear skies. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Good breakfast in a nice environment. I got to see great northern lights, stunning snowy landscapes and even some Moose😀😀

It is expensive to both stay there and to get a transfer from Alta if needed. However it is worth the experience and it is also cheaper than some other options within the general area.

We stayed in the dome at gargia Lodge as part of our honeymoon. We only stayed one night due to time constraints but we absolutely loved it. The staff could not have done more for us and made an extra effort to add some lovely touches to our room to celebrate our honeymoon. They also collected us at last minute from elsewhere in alta as we could not get transport to them. The area is beautiful and the dome was a wonderful experience with northern lights right outside. We would definitely stay again and thank you so much !

The location, surrounded by nature (but easy-to-drive road from Alta) was very scenic. The wi-fi worked well, The room had character. THere is convenient food available for many hours starting in the late afternoon. This was a buffet of three casseroles (we liked all three, so that was good), with good bread. Beer etc. available. Silent at night.

The walks nearby were good, but the flies and mosquitoes were troublesome.
