The location was very good, close to some amasing restaurants and the breakfast was very good.

Something had happened during my booking, so they thought I came alone. The staff made this error right and I payed 50,- NOK to make this right, no stress and all good so far. The next day when checking out the same issue came up once more, I then told that I allready payd for that, but the lady at the desk didnt believe me so I had to pay the same fee once more. It was only 50,- NOK afterall, so no big deal, but they should have better control than this, I even told her that I allready had made the payment but she denied it. I didnt contact them to fix this issue, but nevertheless it was an error that shouldnt have happened. Yes I've checked my bank, I was charged both times.

This is a large modern hotel chain, which has all the facilities you would expect to find. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The beds were comfortable with noticeably nice sheets, much better than I've experienced in most places! The bathroom had a good thermo mixer shower with good pressure and volume, a slow draining sink (might need plumber work) but with good countertop space, good auto lighting with extra lighting around the mirror, and a hairdryer. The window opened for fresh air. There was an elevator, making it easier to move our suitcases to the room.

The free parking was tight as the hotel was packed, so some bumps against my car sides. the car spacing could be wider. There was no iron or board. The A/C control appeared to be broken, no control knob. There were no power points beside the bed.

Very clean and comfortable with quiet rooms. Great bar area in the hotel and the breakfast was really good. Location is central in the town and there are bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away and the coastline a few minutes walk away with fantastic views. The airport shuttle stops right outside the entrance.

There is very little choice on the evening restaurant menu. My room was in the corner so there was no view and little natural light (this didn't matter as I was out most of the time)

Good breakfast and location

Seems that Scandic is a hotell, where most stay over night on their way to North. There was bussloads of tourists over one night, this causes some distortion, and lack of food in breakfast tables. Norway is a country of fish and salmon, they export fish a lot. We stay four nights, but only on to mornings there was fish available in breakfast table, and it ended a quite rapidly. It was so harmful and a big minus.

Standard hotel with friendly Norwegian service. Nothing outstanding and nothing bad either. Central location so quite practial and the parking is free.

The breakfast was a cattle market. OK, it is high season, but it was almost impossible to get a seat. if you are going for brekkie in high season avoid 8-9am.

Efficient, freindly staff. Nice room and lounge. Excellent breakfast. Kitchen open until 23.

There is too much salt in the food served in the evening. There was also too much salt in the bread. High amount of salt contributes to elevated blood pressure, which in turn leads to increased risk for heart and vascular disease. Salt can be easily be reduced by using good produce, herbs and spices. But of course, salt is cheaper, and thirsty customers drink more beer. A hotel with the ambition to have a high-class menu, should be able to do better. Customers who cannot do without very salty food can add additional salt themselves.

Good central location with easy parking options (free at the hotel, or paid if lot is full).

Breakfast was very hectic, with staff appearing to be over worked. Has to clean and arrange our own table, as junior waiter was clueless.

Specific parking area for cycles and motorcycles. Buffet available in the restaurant for both evening meal offered more choice than the standard menu so we opted for the buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

The staff. One of the friendliest and helpful staff I ever come across. The breakfast in the morning was great. Making your own waffles is definitely a great thing. Short walk to the waterfront and museums.

Nothing comes to mind.

The bed, the bathroom, the toiletries, the complimentary tea, coffee and drinks, the breakfast, the parking, quick check-in and check-out.

No kettle in the room, the fancy coffee machine not working, no view from the room.
