I arrived late on the bus from Bodo, but the staff had arranged for me to check in after reception had closed. The hotel was easy to find from the bus station and most places were within 10 minutes walk of the property. The room and breakfast were very practical. The blackout curtains did their job perfectly. This may not have been a luxury hotel but it was certainly perfect as a place to eat and sleep while exploring the city. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay.

While it doesnt rate as a luxury hotel, it definitely served its purpose. The immediate view from my window was of an internal courtyard, though I could also see the cable car from my room too. If you need a secure place to eat and sleep while travelling through then this is well worth checking out.

The room was small but cozy, modern, and clean. The location of the hotel is great as it is right in the city center on the main street. The breakfast was really good with a large variety of food including some fish specialties.

Parking is somewhat complicated because you can only park on the street at night. During the day, you need to pay for it and there is also some time limit (2 hours?) you can stay there. But just across the street, there's a paid underground parking lot where you can park for longer periods of time. You can also charge your electric car there for no additional cost.

We arrived in Narvik via train (December) and walked to the hotel from the train station (about 10 minutes) -- typically this wouldn't be a problem but it was snowy, windy and the walk is very much uphill. Something to think about if you're taking the Arctic Circle overnight train - would be wise to set up transportation in advance if you have large suitcases and kids in tow. The front desk employee was extremely helpful and kind (helping with luggage, etc.). And the hotel is really cute PLUS there's a fabulous restaurant directly underneath that you can literally walk from inside the hotel to reach:)

An elevator for the heavy bags after lugging them through the snow:) BUT...all good:)

Excellent breakfast, good choice and variety. Good central location. Friendly welcoming staff. Very clean accommodation, good facilities, with tea/ coffee available all the time. Luggage storage was available and utilised, so thank you.

We hired a car and coming from abroad, were not aware that you are not allowed to park alongside the hotel. There was no signage either and we were issued with a parking ticket, within a 20 minutes while we went inside and hotel. The reception staff on duty at the time said that another couple from Spain were caught out as well, some time ago. Reception should have a sign up warning people about this.

Narvik Hotel Wivel is really centrally located, you can reach any of the museums and shops in 5-10 Minutes of walking from there. The breakfast buffet was nice, with good variety. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The WIFI was stable and reliable.

Some kind of cupboard in the rooms would be good. Living out of a suitcase for 7 days makes things quite chaotic after a while, and clothes get all wrinkly and stuff. The 2 provided plastic hangers were not enough in my opinion.

We had a/the standard suite, a huge room with more windows than I've ever seen in a single room, looking out over the main road and the bit of Narvik situated on the hills across the main rail artery. Very comfortable room, with a proper table too. Pleasantly styled. Extremely comfortable for the small company we were (just two people). Friendly staff. Practically opposite the truly excellent Narvik War Museum (Kriegsmuseum).

The coffee and hot water for tea that one could grab in the lobby was lukewarm every time we took it. A small detail, but easy to get right, improving the overall feel immediately

A good hotel in a quiet location walkable from bus stops and train station. Shops and restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. Easy check in and luggage store. Wifi and shower were good and there was an essential blackout blind for mid-summer light at night. The breakfast included was really good with a great choice.

The room needs more power points in accessible places and more places to put your things. The desk was tiny and not near a power point. There was nowhere to put your bag to unpack it. Someone was using noisy tools in the hotel.

Lovely hotel with a convenient, delicious restaurant attached to it. If arriving by train, the property is roughly a 10 minuted walk from the station -- not a problem unless you have larger rolling luggage and are visiting during winter which means you'll be trekking 90% of the way uphill in slippery conditions. Pre-book a taxi if possible. Breakfast in the morning was simple with both hot & cold offerings.

No elevator so if you have larger luggage - FYI; perhaps request a first floor room.

Location was excellent in between busstation and trainstation. Both reachable within 10 minuten walk. From Narvik you go (or come) by bus to Fauske (south), Harstad (Lofoten) or Tromso (north to Alta and North Cape) and by train to Kiruna and Stockholm. It's a important place for travellers in each direction. Especially if travelling with interrail. Hotel is simple but they have coffee all day, breakfast is fine and staff is very friendly and helpfull. Most hotels nearby are rather expensive for 1 night.

Central location convenient to both the bus and train stations. Great breakfast including gluten-free and lactose-free options. Free coffee, tea and cake from 7 am to 6 pm in the lounge. The associated Furu Gastropub on the ground floor serves delicious food with excellent service and a sophisticated ambience in the back room.

Traffic noise from the adjacent motorway when windows were opened. The outside of the room door looked a bit the worse for wear.
