Gorgeous place, perfect location in quiet end of a beautiful street, right next to the river/jungle. Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is good! They have a cat called Milli, she's not to be seen most of the time, but I was lucky to get a little peak of her a couple of times. Adorable! The pool is a godsend on the hottest days of the year. Big room, and peaceful hotel. I had to check out at 4:30 am, they still made me toast and coffee/tea even though it was before breakfast serving hours. So kind!
Bed is a little hard, but still good.

The room and common places are sensational, phenomenal. This is the sole reason to stay here. It's like in a museum. AC is really good too. Beds are good. The pool is nice.
While I would definitely stay again in this beautiful hotel, there're a couple of things one should be prepared for. Large doors to the room have a kind of window into the always illuminated corridor. It means it's never dark in the room. Doors and windows are not soundproof, and there's a very loud bar across the street that worked till maybe 3am. We were really tired and it didn't bother us too much but both issues can. be a problem. The breakfast is served in an equally beautiful place but it's very basic, non-buffet and entirely vegetarian, so still okay but below average.

Fantastic location in a quiet street, along the river, but still close to the city center. Beautiful colonial style building. Loved the swimming pool for hot days! Super friendly staff, breakfast was simple and good. A quiet hotel with a peaceful atmosphere.. Great value for money! If I come to Iquitos again, I'll be staying here.
The pick from the airport fell through, the driver didn't come to meet me and I wasn't informed. But it worked out fine because there were plenty of taxis at the airport, which I assume the hotel knew.

I loved the the beautiful, well preserved building. The rooms are wonderfully huge and well equipped. There was even a kitchenette. The small pool is very welcome. Iquitos can be very hot. The staff are very friendly. The kitchen made me delicious eggs with tomatoes and onions.
I didn’t like the fact, in the middle of the night & that because I was on the ground floor, my room and the room next to me flooded to a depth of approx 4cm over the entire, vast floor. The staff were unaware until I located someone. It must have happened before when it was raining hard. I was put in a must spare room but my neighbour helped them mop out his room. Nothing was mentioned in the morning. No apology or anything. Very bizarre. Get a room on the 1st floor if you stay here. The breakfast is ok. Plenty of tea and coffee. I was on a Aya dieta, which they said they can provide but it was very limited. No alternative milks. They had nice eggs and some fruit but the fruit portions were tiny. The fresh juice had sugar. A bit disappointing.

Air conditioning. Spacious, kitchenette, window looking to the Amazon River, courteous staffs, easy walking to the main square
A bit frustrating to order breakfast on the first two days. The third day we finally realized that we can order omelets with cheese and ham instead of just plain eggs. Also “mixed stir-fried vegetables “ CAN have ALL three veggies included.

The building is absolutely gorgeous, and charming throughout. Location is wonderful- very close to the Plaza de Armas and restaurants, cafes, bars, but on a relatively quiet street so there was no noise disturbance at night. Staff was very accommodating to making early breakfasts and to changing my reservation when needed. And I made good use of the filtered water strategically stationed throughout the hotel. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Iquitos who wants a comfortable, friendly stay!
Honesty, no notes for improvement.

Very good location, and very helpful staff. Building was very stylish. Breakfast was really good. Room was spacious and perfect to stay before going to the amazon jungle. Mattress was comfortable. Not much noise at night. Shower was good.
There's nothing I didn't like about this hotel! The taxi driver picked me up from the airport was not professional. However, this is not really to do with the hotel, but did put a slight dent on the start of my trip.

The hotel is an old mansion from the rubber plantation time. The building has lovely Portuguese tile, high ceilings (20 feet!) and loads of charm. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great. It was easy walking distance to restaurants.
Our first stay was very quiet but unfortunately on our second stay (Saturday night) the bar across the road played very loud music until midnight. If you are a light sleeper like me this is tough.

Lovely old world hotel, fantastic large rooms and exceptional reception staff. Lovely pool area and very interesting history. Good location too. The whole team was very friendly and keen to help.
It’s a little tired but super authentic - if you’re looking for the mod cons you’ll not get them here. We loved it - but there’s no bar or anything although lots of places nearby and a fridge and lounge area in the rooms.

The pool is lovely to cool off in. Spacious apartment type accommodation with lounge, small kitchenette( not fully equipped with smalls), has microwave, kettle, water container with drinking water, pot, induction plate, small bar fridge, knifes and forks for 2 people, coffee cups for 2 people with spoons) Walking distance to Plaza de Armas, restaurants and shops. Nice hot shower water. Soap and shampoo sachets. Staff is helpful and friendly. Speak a little bit of English. Beds are comfortable. Quiet rooms, pretty soundproof. Lovely small lounges and seating areas on top floor near pool where you can relax. Aircon in rooms, but because rooms are so large some also have floor standing fans. Balcony window doors open but there is a solid window pane, so balcony doors when open still has a window there, not open like normal balcony. Obviously to protect against rain pushing through the large window doors. Library room with very old and interesting items and furniture in it. Old photos on the walls in frames of what Iquitos looked like in the colonial era. Beautiful colonial style building and architecture. Wifi was good for messaging and browsing. Breakfast is eggs, bread, fruit salad, oatmeal or cereal, yoghurt or juice brought to your table. Coffee, tea and cocoa at breakfast.
Suggestion: Some milk or milk powder in the room for the coffee would be nice. Normal sugar and not just Stevia would be nice for the coffee and tea in the room.
