My wife and I had the best time at Taypikala. It’s fair to say it’s been one of our best hotel experiences ever actually. The reception team is great and there’s plenty of attention to every single detail. The restaurant team was also super lovely, and they were always checking on us during breakfast or dinner. Moises in particular gave us great recommendations for places to go and made us feel very special in every occasion. Recommendation for future travellers: do factor in some time to relax and spend time at the hotel. The hotel grounds are amazing, and there are plenty of places to rest and relax. Hammocks by the river, the indoor heated pool, spending time with the alpacas and llamas. We just loved it all. Thanks Taypikala team!

I cannot express how truly breathtaking the location is. Nestled amidst the majestic mountains, the setting is nothing short of idyllic. The tranquility and peace that surround this place make it an ideal retreat for anyone seeking a serene escape. The natural beauty of the Sacred Valley is on full display here, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. Highly recommended for those who want to immerse themselves in a picturesque and peaceful environment.

The hotel provided only a small bottle of water per stay, which is insufficient considering the tap water can’t be used for making tea or drinking. This necessitates purchasing additional water from the restaurant, which I found inconvenient and not up to the standard expected from a 5-star hotel. This small detail detracted from an otherwise excellent experience.

It's an absolutely beautiful and relaxing place. So many thoughtful touches, from the decor to the alpacas to the landscaping and activities. The rooms are large, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast is very good. Setting along the river is exquisite. I really fell in love with this hotel.

For the price, the massage services left something to be desired. There were kids playing in the room next to the massage, so there was a lot of noise from them and their games/videos. It was distracting. And after the massage, the therapist "helped" me to fill out the survey, so of course I gave high ratings. The massage itself was fine, but I think I would have gotten the same experience for half the price in town. Not what I expected from a hotel with such exacting standards otherwise. Nevertheless, I'll stay here again.

Our room was spacious, clean and a fantastic view of the mountains. I loved the breakfast - great variety. Every member of staff was very friendly and professional. The gardens were beautiful, with stone formations, hidden underground cave, little childrens playground, llamas, amazing flowers. A little colouring set for my daughter and a free lunch/snack pack on one day was a lovely touch. we would love to return.

The bathrooms/changing rooms/area near the walls/lounging deck chairs in indoor spa pool area were not cleaned very often- same stains on the floor for the 3 days we were there and dead ants. The garden area outside the spa pool really ruins the view - rubbish, bricks and dead plants- a pity as the rest of the gardens are spectacular. The cushions for the chairs for the outdoor pool lay on the grass for 3 days, guests had to pick them up to use them- they really should be brought in at night and replaced in the morning to prevent mould/insects/dirt.

My favourite hotel of our trip. Lovely big room with a door straight out to the pool. Exceptional food and helpful friendly staff. As we left Abel told us about the humming bird garden - many thanks, it took some confidence to get there but Ensifera was brilliant.

Stunning location. Baby alpaca 💜. Staff was great. It was low season so we felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Small issues we ordered to go breakfast and one order was incorrect. At dinner main course the pork belly was seasoned well but should have had a crisper skin.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms are clean. Best highlight for the kids was that they get to feed alpacas.

Globally this is an excellent place to stay The bed is very comfortable The staff is extremely nice and helpful The garden (and alpacas) around the property is absolutely wonderful The decorations of the common areas is lovely The restaurant offers very nice food (a bit of a long wait sometimes though) Even the attention they put when cleaning your room is very nice

To my fellow European travelers, no this is not a 5 stars, more a 4 stars. A small gym would be appreciated, especially with the space there is Breakfast could slightly do better (better coffee or selection of fruits) The access to the property is via a dirt road. You wouldn't expect to find the hotel in such a place Nothing major though !

Must have for future improvements: paper less check-in online, warm water in the outdoor pool heater with solar energy and update photos displayed at booking.com (hotels looks greater in real than on availables photos)

Lovely room, very spacious, super comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing. When I slept too late for breakfast one morning, the staff bought me coffee & bread anyway. The location is away from noisy Urubamba but there is no reason to leave the hotel, it´s gorgeous. The gardens are beautiful and the pool area is really relaxing. The restaurant food is amazing.

I booked a 60 minute massage - the lady was really rough and finished after 45 minutes. Unfortunately I spent the last night vomiting for hours - I had only eaten at the restaurant for 3 days so I can only assume it was from the food - such a shame all the meals were incredible (except for the weird taste of the last meal I ordered - eek!)
