I like the facilities and the sunset on this property. The area is pretty big and it has a public beach and swimming pool, there are lots of trees with fruits and the flowers are very pretty. They have hammocks along the beach to relax. The breakfast has enough selections. The front desk staff were superb and super helpful including the van driver who drove us and picked us from our tour. They organized our Tour, I must admit Gigantes Island is more beautiful than Boracay.

The swimming pool is not clean and the changing area smells of pee. The service at the restaurant was very slow….. we waited for two hours for our pancit orders, no coconut juice even though they have coconut trees everywhere and most things on the menu are not available. The restaurant staff are not attentive to our needs, we have to constantly ask for service, there are ants and flies everywhere (ants and insects are attracted to food, they have to make sure food particles on the floor are regularly clean to avoid ants and flies on the restaurant area).

The highlight of this resort is its focus on nature. The natural shade from the trees help beat the heat even when you're strolling within their endless grounds or while swimming in the middle of the day. It's like a forest escape with a cozy but modern design theme. You can stay inside the resort the entire day and never get bored with the entertainment facilities that they offer.

I appreciate that there aren't any enclosures seperating the shore from next door neighbors. However, the beach itself is third rate. The sand and water aren't worth the sunburn. You'll be better off swimming by the cool waters from the pool, shaded from the sun thanks to the trees. I was expecting the Queen/King Villa rooms to be a standalone structure, similar to their other offerings. I was wrong...and a little bit bothered that one of, if not the most, expensive accommodation is shared with a neighbor.

The staff and their service. Everyone was so kind and attentive. They are all smiling and they look very happy in their work, and that really made a good impression to me. They did not make us wait for anything we needed for more than 5 minutes (except for the food maybe - but serving of food is quick also 😊). Our room was a big one. Very spacious with a balcony. It looks recently constructed and the AC looks very new. Loved the space and the two big beds made us (a family with 2 kids under 6) very comfortable. I like the big pool area too. It doesn't feel crowded even when there are a lot of people around. Shower room is clean as well. Overall, we are so happy with our stay at Solina. They were very responsive to all our needs, online and in our actual stay. Will surely come back in the future! 😊👍

We experienced two very brief brownouts on our second night at bed time but they were ready with their generators. This did not affect our great experience. Maybe its just the area and Carles' electricity supply. Our room is clean but it's not spotless clean. I felt that the floor was a little dusty when I walked around barefoot. The beddings smells and feels clean but there are discoloration in one of our bed sheets. I guess the main thing that I want the hotel to improve on is the bath towels. They are already turning gray from the build up of detergent I think. I think they should switch to a gentler detergent and fabcon. Distilled white vinegar and baking soda do wonders. Maybe check that out.

Big beautiful Pool, lots of lounging chairs by the pool, beach with a nice breeze. layout of the resort , big rooms with lots of beds (family room) nice comfy beds, nice comforter, nice big pillows (we slept through the night) friendly staff from the lobby to the restaurant. They have a van that takes you to your room from the lobby/parking lot.

Not enough toilet paper (provided only one) door was hard to lock/unlock, our room didn’t have a fridge while the other one has it. The restaurant is a bit pricey.

The staff are amazing. The property itself is impressive!

Never seen the souvenir shop opened. Should invest in developing the aviary and have a guided tour instead of leaving guests on their own. The phone/ intercom in our suite didnt work. We stayed in cabin tent the first night and it was decent. Was surprised when we moved to balay palangga for 2more nights that the water temp is not working. There is no hot water. Was disappointed as the cheaper room was better.

The STAFF… from the reception to the housekeeping and the dining area staff… everybody made sure stay was comfortable and seamless. Excellent commendation to their customer service especially to Mark and the reception staff (Jen and Diane). Daryl ml of the manila office was very helpful and accommodating. Dining staff were courteous and attentive. Special shout out to Josie who was always available extra to our dining needs. The place is a good haven for rest. a good stopover on our way to iloilo. We will return every year. Congratulations Solina Staff. Thank you.

This is a really special jewel of a resort! The cabin we had was a fantastic mix of luxury and provincial fair; really comfortable room with all the amenities. Restaurant was brilliant, good selection of local and international dishes so there’s something for everyone. The native chicken binakol was a highlight and worth ordering just to sample! Staff were incredibly helpful in arranging transfers/activities.

The intercom in our room didn’t work, the whole resort is based on car travel to the different zones so made getting around the resort a little difficult.

The grounds & facilities are top notch for the area. The breakfast was really good. Staff are all friendly & accommodating.

My sister sporadically came with us, that we had to order an extra bed. We went on an Island Tour & were looking forward to shower after a long day of Island hopping. Unfortunately, the bed & towels were not ready when we got there at 6pm. Kind of dampen the excitement of our stay.

Staff was great and catered to everything we needed . Restaurant had really great food .l& drinks . Pool was really nice and rooms were very comfortable and clean .

Everything was great in all three rooms but one of the monogram towels got dirty from one of our kids on accident and front desk charged us a large amount of money to keep the dirty towel . $954 pesos which I thought wasn't right considerong we reserved three rooms over 16000 pesos for one night . But overall everything was great 😊😊👍

the best asset of solina is its staff. they are friendly, polite, service oriented and always, always happy to help! restaurant food prices are reasonable and there are enough a la carte choices on the menu to not make you want to dine elsewhere. breakfast was good too.

the bathrooms need to be updated at some point.
