The room was ok, they gave me a room with better view because it was my bday. O loved the spa, well maintained, new everything. They also have one of the best gyms i've seen so far. Breakfast was ok, not the best (i was expecting more)

Breakfast buffet could've been better

Staff is very attentive and gracious at the Lounge, buffet room and restaurants.

It’s missing the Shangrila Makati Ambience of piano playing, the big tea ceremony area.

Central and convenient location. Many facilities and good amount of choice with regards to dining. We would like to commend Neal in the breakfast/ lunch area for her constant positive attitude and friendly demeanour. She is a great example for how everyone in the hotel should treat their guests.

We felt the consistency of service from the staff could be better. Particularly the staff from the lobby lounge area that were not so accommodating in allowing my family to take some much needed rest after their long journey to meet us for lunch on Saturday. This was quite troubling since we were already staying at the hotel and they are elderly and have trouble walking.

The gym was outstanding, layout and space of the room, thick walls to block out noise, the king bed excellent for rest

Maybe it was the full holiday season. Discounting the late service as understandable. But … 1st room at check in was not cleaned properly. Odor, crumbs on rug, coffee stains on counter etc. so we requested room change. At breakfast, coffee service was very slow to nonexistent (it never came). An in-room coffee maker to avoid this hassle would be perfect!

Beautiful thoughtfully designed building, clean, inviting and expansive fitness center, wide variety of excellent restaurants, helpful friendly staff.

The vanity area in the bathroom and the full length mirror in the hall needs brighter lighting for doing make-up and checking your outfit. The one outlet in the bathroom is for electric razors only — more appropriate outlets are needed there for a curling iron. The blow dryer needs replaced. It was not powerful enough and you have to hold the button down to keep it on.

We did not try the breakfast since we brought a lot of fruits to eat so they wouldn't get overripe. The room has a very nice view. We liked the bed, and the shower was very good. The lobby was outstanding with all the beautiful decor for the Lunar Year. The staff in the lobby were excellent. They approached and offered help right away Also, I would like to commend the salon. They call The Fix. There were three staff doing working on my hair color, was and massage. I enjoyed it very much.

It may not be a big thing but Just a small problem about that cement gap in between the bathroom floor and the door. My sister and I almost got tripped. And underneath that concrete bench inside the shower needs some scrubbing.

The check-in experience was easy and the hotel is in a great location. The room itself was great. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants available in the hotel.

They didn't have the usual details we're used to with 5-star hotels like a welcome note/treat, turn down service, etc. It felt very rushed? Especially the holiday breakfast that they moved to a function room. It had less options and had live entertainment that made it feel cheaper.

Lovely staff who bent over backwards to accommodate many requests for me. Great restaurants and bars on site. Amazing location in BGC close to all the malls. No safety concerns whatsoever. Attracts the rich and famous of Manila.

Slightly dated decor (reminiscent of Shangri La properties from the 90s). Could do with more stylish, modern interiors.

Location was optimal - right in front of the BGC High Street, a museum and park behind. Room view - phenomenal because we were facing the High street area. Further back you could see Laguna de Bay. Breakfast buffet was nice - generally have all common breakfast dishes available. Lots of food choices nearby in walking distance - steakhouses, Chinese, Japanese, buffets, snacks. Lots of shopping stores, from clothing to bags to plants, as well as the mall and cinema nearby are open. They have separate bath tubs and showers! Spacious rooms. They have a friendly staff, like hospitality is very much so present in almost all that I had interacted with. Everyone had a smize or were quite polite when interacting with my fellow guests. Efficient room service via QR Code in your room, as it will redirect u to their service portal where you can place your needs in a few clicks (food, room service/cleaning/additional amenities)

The bathrooms didn't have any bidet, only select floors and rooms had these essentials. Affiliated food restaurants can take too long to serve (got seated 10 minutes before our official booking time, pre-ordered already with the restaurant, but in 45 minutes only 2 dimsums of our order was served. After nearly 1 hour, did our other orders arrive.) Spa service was unavailable.
