We liked the rooms, the facilities, the beach access, the massages and especially the staff. Also,the fact that the water sports facilities (paddle boards, kayaks)could be used for free was a great plus.

We didn’t realise that we were some distance from the restaurants and night life of Alona Beach. But the benefit of no crowds at the South Palms outweighed this disappointment. My wife and I wanted to play volleyball but the court seemed to be constantly taken over by locals who weren’t staying at the resort and who refused to let us play on the court, even though they were not using it. Very disappointing.

Private property and it seems like you have the island all to yourself

The food was so expensive that I might not go back because of it even if the amenities were beautiful. The food was priced as if you were ordering from a 5 star resort. They could have lowered it just a bit to refrain from people going outside of the resort to look for a better food value. It was delicious but 300 for a fruit shake and 200 pesos for soda is exhorbitant.

So what can I say except.. Best resort I have ever stayed and I have been to 11 countries! The views Spectacular, the water 79 f, the visibility in ocean easily 30+ feet!, The grounds are the nicest ive ever seen in a resort, the beach is plowed with a tractor twice a day everyday! The staff gets 11/10 every moment I saw them they constantly greeted me , asked how I was and Saw to every need I had. The food was reasonably priced and delicious! Pretty much the only thing that could have made the stay better would be unlimited alcohol. But I was so relaxed everyday was not necessary I will return 200% certainty!!!!

Absolutely Nothing!

The location is perfect for relaxation. No noisy market nearby. You can rent a tricycle to pick you up from the lobby, and you can be at the market in 15 minutes with 200 php per ride. The palm garden is amazing, and you can have a massage. The swimming pools are nice. There's also a pool for kids (60 centimeters deep). You can do paddle boarding or kano for 30 minutes every day. There's a gym that you can use. The rooms were clean and spacious. They clean the room twice a day. One at noon and one at 5 pm. The personnel is always kind and helpful. You can have dinner on the beach only for 1300 php with a nice setup. We celebrated my father's birthday with 13 family members, and it was well organized and had a good atmosphere. I would recommend trying the mango shake or any of the ice creams or chicken dishes.

The beach is clean outside because they are cleaning every day, but in the water, you can find sea urchins and a lot of weeds. Food is personal preference, and for me, there were some dishes at the restaurant that I wouldn't recommend, such as fried fish or fresh coconut water. Some dishes have no taste, such as the spaghetti bolognese and pizza with 4 cheese. During the dinner at the beach, I was expecting each dish to be delivered once we had finished the previous course. However, everything was served at the same time, and we were unable to track if they served all the dishes or which dishe was for whom.

Superb location right on the beach, staff are amazing nothing too much trouble. Great breakfast buffet. Very comfortable beds. Some amazing things to see in Bohol , tarsiers, chocolate hills.

You are quite isolated there so if you wanted to eat somewhere else it was quite a drive in a van , couldn’t just walk. There are also a lot of weddings, 6 in 4 days. We were there for a wedding , which was fantastic. However we did pay extra for a beach view. For 2 days that view was magnificent. For 2 days it was obscured by wedding chairs and buffets and loud music till 11 pm. I would say if you have young children who go to bed early maybe get a garden room instead.

The hotel is located on the south coast of the island, right on a beautiful, quiet beach. The beach at the Cost Pool Bar is enlivened by brightly colored deckchairs in three colors - green like nature, white like the beach and turquoise like the sea. Huge palm trees with lots of hammocks, swings and swing beds complete the amazing atmosphere of this resort. The smiling and helpful staff only completes this well-being. Breakfast is served in the form of rich buffet tables in the Oceanica Seafood restaurant, where the assortment varies. Drinks, light lunches as well as dinners with fresh seafood can be ordered at the Cost Pool Bar or at the Oceanica restaurant (they are close to each other), choosing from the menu, which is the same for both restaurants. The changing live singing evening performances are also a pleasant diversion. The rooms are clean and cleaned twice a day. The reception staff provides an airport transfer (for 1-2 persons 750 PHP/13 euros/trip) - the journey takes approx. 10-15 minutes by car to Bohol-Panglao Int, Airport. Every day a free Shuttle service (9.00 am & 2.00 pm) departs to the farm of the resort "South Farm".

Despite the fact that the beach is regularly cleaned, e.g. tractor with forks, remains of sea grass and sometimes plastic appear on the shore. You have to be wary of sea urchins, which are also white in color and are very difficult to recognize on the white sandy bottom.

The breakfast could be a bit more European oriented. Not everyone is jumping for a bowl of rice with Chicken Adobo in the morning

The location is stunning and very well maintained and clean. Staff is very nice and friendly, the food is great, there are several facilities to enjoy. They even offer kayaking and paddle boarding for free. The beachfont room is very nice and has a great view. The room is spacious enough for 2 people and the bed is very comfortable. Extras: they do organize countryside tour and island hopping (exclusive or in group) but expect to pay a bit more - but it is still highly recommended to do both. The spa services (massage) and a visit to their farm are also a must!

Weirdly enough, the water level by the beach is very low, regardless if it’s high tide or not. You will have to go far from the beach if you want to actually swim, although expect some seaweeds.
