The location is great for all the dive shops and various other things on offer in Sabang. So close and the newly constructed “esplanade” makes walking to/from much easier now. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The property has a generator which is essential in Sabang (brown outs). Food at the restaurant is tasty with a nice outlook over the water. Staff are friendly.

I’ve stayed at Papa Fred’s several times in various rooms. I don’t have any major issues except there could be more places to put/hang things. A line for hanging towels, wet rashies etc, shelves for toiletries etc. Also the two rooms directly at the front often have people milling about and their talking penetrates the room, which some might find a little annoying, but it’s not a big deal.

I walk using rollator for balance, so a few stairs are ok and I was comfortable using the ground floor room. Somebody in wheelchair would not do well here. Nice TV, decent internet, cold aircon. This hotel is pretty basic as expected for price. Staff very helpful and friendly. The steak house is top notch.

Upper floor and restaurant access involves dangerous steep stairs. Rooftop swimming pool is not accessible for handicap. Sabang Beach has been destroyed by a concrete seawall project. No sand and nobody swimming or sunbathing. Boats for island hopping and snorkel and scuba is nearly impossible for moderately disabled tourists so popular with Koreans that there are few other dining options.

Location is very good. On the beach front but away from the noisy bars. Comfortable room, clean and good a/c . Helpful staff.

Two people in the pool and it's full. Never seen such a small pool and sunbathing area for only four.

The location is good, right on Sabang bay and very close to the market, easy to get around. Our room is big and has a balcony where we could hang things to dry.

It was not the resort’s problem but the electricity went off a couple of times during our stay.

The view was worth the stay alone! But the staff was so friendly and helpful! I was not sure about booking due to the reviews but it seems that they were exaggerated because my stay was wonderful the room was very clean and comfortable plus the rooftop Seaview room was incredible!

The pool needs some cleaning but not a big deal.

The room looks almost new and well decorated which made me feel mo relaxed. The smiles of the friendly staffs greeting you whenever they saw you. And mostly, the location is outstanding as it is near the restaurants, bars for a bit of a night life and little walk to have a good swim.

Excellent service starting from the booking and to obtain the relevant documents (S Pass, Travel Permit), arrange the local transport, accepting our custom demands at the restaurant seamlessly. The food is fantastic and you should try the stir fried beef with vegetables!! We stayed in the King Room with a Sea view and this is a room with stunning views!! We had access to the nice rooftop pool and private Jacuzzi !! Would like to say a special thanks to the front desk staff who handled all our requests promptly with a smile. All staff are extremely courteous and rooms are clean and well maintained. Thank you Papa and team to make our stay a very pleasant experience!!

I cant remeber anything that I really disliked, Everything was perfect and true value for money.

location is fantastic for those looking to go snorkeling and a great jump off point for scuba diving. papa freds steakhouse was incredibly good too. its right on premise. cold beer and fresh juices, fantastic menu, top tier presentation too

not their fault but the whole seafront area is under construction which will eventually make the property better.

The disappointing thing was that, though i payed for breakfast included, because of staffing issues, breakfast was not provided, nor was any refund offered.

Apart from the inability or will to provide breakfast, everything else was fine.

The Wi-Fi was practically unusable, so I spent my time using data. Netflix was unusable because the Wi-Fi was unusable. The tv picture was fuzzy and snowy and unwatchable. The shower gel quality was really poor. Luckily I brought my open, it was more like dishwashing liquid.
