The Staff was very friendly informative and hardworking always available to give information no matter what time of day. The rooms were large , Very clean, You could look out from your balcony and see the action going on and you could go downstairs and be in the center of it all. The parking in Chaves is rough in the summer but we were given a access to the garage all we had to was ask. Very happy we stayed there and will likely continue to do do.

We had rented bikes and they were delivered to this hotel. Man at reception was very helpful and assisted us with moving the big boxes and showed us a spacious corridor, leading onto a courtyard, where we unpacked the bikes in comfort and without being hassled. This made such a difference in getting off to a good start on our holiday. Also there was safe parking in the garage for the bikes. Close to castle, river and nice park. Very good value for money. Good breakfast with choices. Clean, comfortable room and bed.

It wasn't clear where the entrance was. We originally approached from a higher street level and were confused. Maybe a note on the upper level, directing clients to the correct door would be useful.

A purely functional hotel, nothing fancy, little in the way of character, but does the job. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and clean as was the linen and towels, breakfast buffet was simple but quite adequate. Location is just a short walk to all sights/amenities. Free secure parking below the hotel for our motorcycle was a particular bonus.

Nothing to really complain about - just lacks a little character and the wifi connection in our room wasn't great. Slightly difficult to find on arrival, negotiating a route around the town to the start of the N2 was much easier on foot than on the bike but no dramas.

The location was very good and near to most of the facilities for the area. There was a garage to park and keep my motorcycle safe. it was clean and the breakfast on the first day was excellent with a good choice and plentiful supply. The room was very clean and was cleaned on the second day to a high standard.

unfortunately on the second day the breakfast had mostly gone and much of the bread rolls were hard and dry. Not a lot of choice and it appeared as they had under ordered. the lighting in the bathroom could do with improvement as it was quite dark.

Excellent location second time stay for me rooms are fairly basic but quiet spacious clean tidy and warm ..hot showers comfortable beds and adequate bedding.. excellent secure underground carpark perfect for motorcycles and excellent price

A fridge would be a nice addition had to have my key recoded three times

Fantastic hotel, with excellent staff. Very accommodating, great facilities and the room was just amazing! We had a private bathroom and a small balcony, the AC worked amazingly (which was a must with the heat) and everything was sparkly clean. We can't wait to come back! :)

Need a small fridge, summer is very hot , need update with furniture and decorations, could be nice to have waterboiler for tea, the glass from the balcony was broken

Perfect. Close to Chaves castle.Shops , restaurants ,hotel car park.Staff all ways welcome ,plus ready to help me.The breakfast was so delicious,prepared by a wonderful Brazilian lady.

An excellent overnight stay in Chaves. The Petrus Hotel is in a wonderful location near to the castle and all the beautiful parts of haves. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and I really enjoyed my stay!
