breakfast was really good. room was cleaned daily. staff very attentive.

our balcony faced the street. if you prefer quieter times , it may not be for you. you don’t hear any noises if you close balcony doors. however, if you prefer not to use air con and get fresh air it may be a bit noisy.

Very friendly staff, nice botique hotel with rooftop jacuzzi and pool that can be used till around 22.00 in pre season when the weather is nice; very good breakfast with a lot of variety that can be also ordered freshly made from the kitchen Slippers and bathrobes included - nice! Hotel is situated near the Lido where you can get by foot

got a room next to the street which was noisy; just one blanket for two people (I prefer to have my own one) but we got the room on short notice within 2 hours - so this is complaining on a high level ;)

Loved the location, the spcious and comfortable rooms and the rooftop pool and facilities. The beds were comfortable and the cleaning service very good. The excellent choice and quality of breakfast. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful but must make special mention of Noemie , on reception who always had a big smile and was ready to help with our many queries. Also Fatima in the resstaurant who providded a great breakfast service and was a pleasure to see every morning. Hard to find anything neggative to ssy about tthis lovely small and friendly hotel. Will definitely book again.

The only negative was the toaster in the restaurant which took an awfully long time and resulted in very hard and dried out toast. Would love to see a more efficient one on our next visit.

Great breakfasts. Friendly and efficient staff -- for example, the waiters and waitresses remembered that I liked egg white omelets with cheese and they made a special effort to fix them for me. The roof-side pool had an "Honest Bar" where we could serve ourselves reasonably priced beer and ice cream and record it in their book; that is, they trusted us to do an accurate accounting. The rooms were clean; we had fresh towels and sheets every day. The location was close to bus lines so we were able to see many of the sites in Funchal without having to rent a car. Roomy rooms with a safe and refrigerator and mini-kitchen and hair dryer and a balcony for drying swimsuits!

We really enjoy our stay! Our room was upgraded to really nice apartment, the location is perfect - the city center is reachable by foot. It' also very nice path to Camara de Lobos from the hotel! What's more, we enjoyed so much pool and jaccuzi - it's great that despite of "winter" season, the water heating works there. Breakfast had everything what we needed. It was nice surprise that we could try local fruits and even Prosecco with strawberries in the morning! :) The staff is smiled and helpful. Thank you for welcome glass of Madeira wine! :)

Maybe parrots in restaurant downstairs was too loud, hahah. Everything was perfect!

I stayed only one night in the hotel. Room was very spacious and has all necessary for short or long stay. The kitchenette is a bonus especially if you wanna cook from local products. Big shower with toiletries very good after the day on the beach. Nice swimming pool on the roof with beautiful city view. There is also self service kiosk with drinks and ice cream, very handy in hot lazy day. The closest beach is less thank 10 min walk. This area also has a promenade path that is especially nice in evening after sunset. Receptionists were very helpful, thank you.

Design of the hotel a bit outdated, though all is very clean. Room has nice balcony but below guests were smoking on the balcony, also cars were passing the road, so I did not stay longer there as smell was not pleasant from smokers and cars.

Good place for money. The room has everything you need including kitchen utensils and pool towels. The rooftop pool is not big but clean and nice, the water temperature was very good for November. Hot tub is a great place to soak after a long day. Nice breakfast: very good selection of fruits and you can order different egg dishes to the table. And I especially love that they serve spakling wine for breakfast :)

The shower head was leaking. As well as head of hygienic shower. There was some mold in the shower.

The room was spacious, had a couch and a kitchenette. The rooftop pool was lovely and there was plenty of space up there to not be near other people. The beds were comfortable.

The room we had on the second floor seemed to be right above a restaurant. On a Friday and Saturday night, they had very loud drumming, that went on until at least midnight. We also heard a lot of noise from the room above us. The aircon was also a little lacklustre but at this time of year was not a huge deal, it would be tough in summer though. The parking is not free.

Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had sofar. Staff were very helpfull and friendly. The aircondition worked very well. Our room was clean.

The hotel's rooms almost have no view. Speccially our view was even worse and was toward an construction area which is not nice during vacation. The pool on the roof is small.

The junior suite was amazing, very spacious with balcony, kitchenette and fridge. Everything is very modern and clean. There are also a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi on the roof open from 7 am to 10 pm, they provide towels as well. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices. The hotel is located at a 5-10 minutes walk from the nearest lido and there are frequent buses to the beach or centre (to which you can walk as well).
