We had an amazing stay at the Alto Mar Inn. The location was great and within a short walking distance of everything worth seeing in Lagos. Fatima was a most gracious host throughout our stay and was kind enough to offer lots of tips and suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Breakfast was delicious and much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Lagos. Plus points for parking out front and access to beach towels when we needed them. The place was clean and quiet, making it a great option for both couples and solo travelers.

Water is draining a bit slow in the shared bathroom shower. Forgot to mention this to our host before we left. Not a huge problem though.

Fatima has taken care of us splendidly since the very first moment. The structure was very clean and scrupulously cared for. Not only she offered advices and shared information about the local aerea but she also asked about our experiences in the city afterwards and provided chances of pleasant conversation about our holiday and trips to other cities of Portugal. In short: she was amazing. Last but not least the breakfast was fantastic, and lovely delivered by Fatima. All in all we felt really cuddled!

Room was spotlesly clean, and even if bathroom was shared between 2 rooms Fatima was making sure everything was clean and ready for use, she was excelent, always asking if there s anything we needed so she can provide it for us, every morning she made us a lovely breakfast , always willing to help with all sort of information when we needed it!! Great location also, 5 minutes away from town centre where one can find everything they need. A cosy little place where you ll feel like home and welcomed! Overall, our staying there was everything we aspected and would definitely book next time we re in Lagos!

There s nothing that bothered us at all în any way!

Fatima is the most lovely host you could wish for—attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. She takes the time to ask about your plans, offers great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit, and checks in to see how your day has been. The place is impeccably clean—even the shared bathroom (which is only shared between two rooms), she keeps so spotless that you hardly notice anyone else using it. Every morning, she serves breakfast with a warm smile, including fresh fruit, juice, pastries, and more. The bed is very comfortable, and the upstairs terrace is a lovely bonus. There are also plates and cutlery available if you want to enjoy a small meal at the property. Plus, it’s only a five minute walk to the old town. Highly recommend!

Great location, very friendly owner/manager. She is eager to please and wants to make sure all is well with the guests. Well located, easy walk to centro. Breakfast was included and wonderful. I would stay again if the bed was more comfy. Price was great for location.

The bed was uncomfortable. It was way to firm, almost like sleeping on the floor. In their defense, I talked to other guests and they said their bed was comfy, so maybe it was just the room I got (I think room 4 on the first floor). Parking is a challenge, but possible. I didn't have a working phone for calls therefore you need to arrange a time of arrival. It is hard to find, small sign in a crowded parking lot, but follow GPS.

The location was perfect, with only a 5-7 minute walk into downtown Lagos, but enough to be away from the the crowd. Fatima was a warm and wonderful host that made sure that we had everything we needed. Our stay felt like we were staying at an old friend's place. There was glassware, a fridge, water, snacks made available to guests and Fatima kept the place spotless. She also made a beautiful breakfast spread that ensured we were full before going out on our adventure to Ponta da Piedade!

We enjoyed our time here and would recommend. Fatima was a friendly and accommodating host. You can tell she cares about the comfort of her guests. Checkin/out process was easy. Instructions provided once you confirm time of arrival. Room 1 on 1st floor with private washroom and window looking into greenery (private - no outdoor access). Quiet during day and night. Comfortable bed, clean accommodations, small room but manageable if you use the closet space (we managed with 2 carry ons and 2 backpacks). In room AC - controlled by you. Fresh continental breakfast - (breads, crossiants, coffee, OJ, fruit). Within decent walking distance to Old Town and beaches. I stayed while pregnant and was able to walk the distances without issue.

We had a great experience at Alto Mar Inn. Fatima was such a lovely host, very friendly and gave us great recommendations. The bedroom and bathroom (ours was private) were very clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet although the breakfast room and reception was just outside our room (so quiet, that I actually managed to pass an exam online with no problem). Special mention for one of the best breakfast we have ever had during a hotel stay. Thanks for the great experience ! Would 100% recommend (and come back).

We stayed in a lot of various hotels throughout our time in Portugal and this one was our favorite. Fatima was so kind and welcoming and provided the loveliest small inn. Our room/bathroom was super clean and had the nicest balcony to sit on at night. The AC worked extremely well and you could close the shades and make the room completely dark to sleep in if you wanted to. Parking was super easy and it was an easy 5 minute walk into town for food and beaches. Fatima provided a list of recommendations as well as beach towels for us to use which we really appreciated. She also made us a great breakfast in the morning. We absolutely loved our stay here!

This was a lovely Inn. They were able to accommodate the last-minute booking and walked me through the self check-in within 20 minutes of making the reservation. The room was good size, and I had an ensuite which was very clean. The bed was comfortable and no noise. Fatima was so lovely for breakfast in the morning. They asked if I had any dietary restrictions and were so thoughtful to accommodate them. So sweet and lovely to chat with Fatima.
