Location is amazing, close to all the beaches and old town, marina, really great

The hotel is a bit worn off, specially kitchen facilities Bedrooms are not really well insulated, you can hear people walking past, talking, late at night or early in the morning We asked the reception to book a taxi to the airport two days in advance, they assured us the car will be there on time. On the day, the taxi was late for 30 min, reception staff did not provide any explanation, and we ended up calling an uber and almost missing our flight

The pool area was lovely and chilled out. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, great games room and gym. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The location was ideal for walking into the old town for a wander and for dinner and it’s also close to many of the beaches. Overall I found the hotel exceeded my expectations.

While the breakfast was nice, the selection of hot food could be improved and also the selection of fruit. But it is great value, and that’s just a small thing. Overall I found the food offered on the menu was great for lunch and dinner but we tried the buffet dinner one evening and the selection was very limited and food wasn’t the best for the price, in my view. While the rooms were lovely, I found the beds were very hard and took some getting used to at the beginning.

This hotel was better than I thought looking at Booking.com - pools not open until the 30th April (one was, I didn't use it though!), continental breakfast (it was much more than continental!). Whilst there wasn't any parking available onsite we were able to park the motorbike safely right outside the door! The breakfast choice and quality were fabulous. The location was great - a short walk into town which was a lovely seaside town - much better than English ones! The staff were so helpful and friendly. We needed some laundry doing and gave them a bag full, it was returned within a few hours and only charged 7 Euros. Fabulous service. Thank you. We would definitely stay here again.

The sun loungers are beginning to look a little tired but still perfectly usable.

Nice family friendly resort in a walkable distance from Lagos city centre and the coast/beaches. Good size apartments with a view to the pool and communal areas. Nice swimming pool, activities for kids, live music in the restaurant. Good atmosphere.

The main disappointment was that the water in the tap had slight taste of chlorine, so it wasn’t drinkable or usable for cooking. Had to buy bottled water from near by SPAR. Aircon broke down, but was fixed in few ours after reporting.

The apartments were clean and well maintained. Location is close to restaurants and shopping areas.

We were a group of 5 with three children in one apartment and our air conditioning was not working at all. We informed them and they said they’ll look into it but when we returned after dinner, it still wasn’t working. The call to reception was not going through and when we approached the reception, they said the ac has a malfunction and it won’t be repaired till the next day which was our check out day. We had to struggle to get another apartment and the shifting at midnight to that apartment with three kids under 5 wasn’t very easy.

Wow! Just WOW! After 10 days of exploring Porto and Lisbon on foot, our stay at Aqualuz Lagos was exactly what we needed. The convenient location is close to both the city centre and wonderful beaches, 2 great pools, friendly and kind staff, clean rooms with a pool view from the balcony and an amazing breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. We had to leave early one morning and couldn't make it to breakfast and they were kind enough to pack us a lunchbox! We definitely recommend and if we ever came to Lagos again this hotel would be our choice for sure.

Large room with two bedrooms, Good water pressure and A/C. Large pool plus large kids pool. Large breakfast with many options. Game room and library and store within hotel. Large gym with 1 access per day included which is attached to hotel. Location is nice, close to town (15 minutes walk or a $5 uber) and to beaches which is about same distance.

Layout of hotel is a bit awkward, you have to walk around and take a combination of stairs and elevators as some staircases don't connect all the way. Bedroom faced hallway and there was a large group of teen soccer players staying in hotel and made a considerable amount of noise at night. To add light, there are large opaque windows in bedroom which also don't provide a lot of sound protection at night. While breakfast was large, some items weren't of highest quality.

We received an awesome upgrade to a large suite - thank you! Staff were excellent - from Reception Staff, Vanessa, Katerina, Carlos to Pool Cafe & Bar staff, Mario, Evan, and Claudio.

The Restaurant shown when we booked the resort wasn't open and no reason given. Only on site food offering was Pool Cafe which had limited (and relatively costly!) mostly not traditional Portuguese food like burgers and pizza. Buffet Breakfast served at the Pool Cafe had good options. Pool was dirty with debris from trees, (we also saw tomato ketchup sachets floating near edge filtration which were there for over 5 days), there was visable damage to tiles and some sharp edges. Loose tiles on pool floor. Potentially dangerous for small children.

Very spacious one bedroom flats. Only 8 minutes walking from the center of town. Huge pools (2 of them). The staff were polite and happy to accommodate our requests. There was a laundromat facility downstairs, which it helped because we stayed for 10 days.

Because we stayed for 10 days, our breakfast could have been a little more varied, but the coffee at the bar was great!

The staff were amazing. Mario was exceptional, always welcoming and helpful and did everything possible to make us comfortable. The breakfast was great and the pool facilities were also very good, with plenty of sun loungers always available.

The apartment was very dated and could do with refreshing. On check in, there were ants crawling through a crack in the mastic between the kitchen tiles, however we reported this immediately and the mastic was repaired to stop the problem. I was also surprised that we were required to hire a lock for the safe at a rate of €5 a day. For a 4* establishment I found this to be very disappointing and would have expected this to be included in the room rate, especially as booking.com lists the property as having a safe in the room and that this is standard for any hotel.
