Even though this property was built in the 60s it is well maintained and offers a great deal for the price. The breakfast was exceptional as was the pool and location. We came to Tomar by train and simply had to walk straight out of the station and walk through town to the property. The hotel is on the edge of town so out of the huddle and bustle of the tourist areas but, having said that, still just 3 minutes to the start of the historical area. Live piano music in Friday and Saturday nights. The pianist was very accomplished! Tomar is quite small and the historical area is very walkable.

The bed was a bit hard but I found that to be true for 3out of our 4 hotels in Portugal.

We did not get the large bed we hoped for--had twins, and poor view of the meetings floor roofs. Everything was an extra charge--coffee in room, water in room, PARKING $5.00/day (but only for Booking.com guests). Got late check-out but had to ask and plead for same time friends got just for asking. TV sucked--no Olympics.

The hotel is in a wonderful location. But I think you must do something about your menu. The food we ordered in the restaurant was not good. Which spoiled our lunch. So we were forced to eat at little restaurants in town. We would prefer to eat at the hotel

The restaurant recommended by hotel had nice ambiance but terrible food and inferior house wine, We are not tourists but have been living in Portugal for 20 years.

Room fantastic including the Views! Breakfast was excellent including the evening meal' The Chef and Catering Staff was Exceptional for we ate just prior to 10PM and my TIP was Warrented Food was presented to a very high standard!!!! Well done all for catering for our late arrival. I' like tradition where-ever I go' and the Tomar History will interest All' especially certain organisations history.

Very easy to find and looks awesome on arrival. Ample outdoor parking. Reception area is very spacious and grand. The staff are really very helpful and for those who are visiting for the Templar experience, Francisco is very knowledgeable. The room actually consisted of an entrance lobby, bedroom, bathroom and balcony, so was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide choice and was served in a beautiful dining room, which is also used for evening meals. The evening menu was varied and food delicious. There is a large outdoor pool which wasn't always busy. The hotel is only five minutes walk from the beautiful town centre and ten minutes walk (uphill) from the Templar historical sites. A final mention must be made of after visit care - we left some items behind in our room and the hotel staff kindly packaged them up and posted them home for us. You have to cover the postage cost though.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, balcony with a nice view. We really liked that there was a little hall at the entrance of the room that was separated from the bedroom by a door, it allowed us to get our stuff organised in the evening and use the bathroom without waking up our son that was sleeping in the bedroom. The hotel lobby and breakfast room was also quite cosy.

The cot we were given was quite old (high and with bars and a metallic structure) and since our 1,5 years old baby was almost able to climb out of it, we had to put it very tight between our bed and the wall.

ALWAYS MY FAVOURITE hotel. Have stayed there numerous times and choose no other! The choice of food for the breakfast meal is wonderful. The staff very helpful. The lobby / reception extremely spacious with lots of sitting areas to receive friends. My minimum stays are 4 days. The beds are ver comfortable and large.

. Didn't enjoy having to pay for parking. . Shower cubicle is a bit small.

It’s a large establishment with all facilities included despite Tomar being a relatively small town. The location is great and can be used as a base for Tomar-Coimbra-Evora all together. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. We had booked one with a balcony facing the river hence we also had a great view. The Concierge desk also helped us to find and excellent guide for sightseeing.

The only thing that jarred a bit was that the hotel charged us for providing just cutlery and plates (both empty). We had ordered our own food from outside because we did not find enough vegetarian options in the hotel menu. We didn’t have plates and cutlery. We asked for plates to be sent to the room and then realised we forgot cutlery so we requested that separately. We got both pretty quickly but at the time were not told about the charge. AT checkout we were charged 5 Euros each for these two things. The charge was not a lot and its not about the money, but it did not feel good to be charged for these small things, and that too, without warning. A small thing, but I think the hotel should take care of it. Other than that, it was a great stay.

1 bar man for the bar and pool orders so considerable wait for our drinks Silicone trims in our bathroom need deep cleaning or replacing as have gone black - around the shower floor and underneath the window sill. No room service menu in the room The cooked breakfast buffet section was cold. Scrambled eggs, sausages, mushrooms, all cold.
