The hotel has a lot of amenities. Snooker, indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, private access to the front beach, night animation live music and all of this is free and open from early morning to late evening. The bar is also very nice with honest prices. The staff is exceptional. Amazing breakfast.

Not a problem for me but this is not a modern boutique hotel. The building is a bit dated but very well kept so not for Instagram posts but great and solid for everything else. If I really have to point out a thing, the noise of the ac fans (not from my room, the big ones at first floor on the terrace faced the entrance of the hotel) are a bit too noisy and it really woke me up 2 times which is jog easy to achieve as I am a heavy sleeper. Just ask for a room at a higher floor (I was on 2) or one with a balcony facing the pool, if you’re a light sleeper, and you’ll be fine.

Breakfast was FABULOUS. The bar tender was WONDERFUL - very personable, pleasant and attentive The live piano music was enjoyable and relaxing. The spa service was very good. I booked a package of hydro/body scrub/massage and it was good and a very reasonable price. I was so disappointed because we paid a lot and it turned out to be terrible weather! However, the spa appointment was a nice treat in lieu of time at the beach and at least our room and the bed were both comfortable. The wind and rain finally cleared up the day we were leaving, so I requested late checkout and enjoyed sitting on the beach which is particularly beautiful with lots of interesting rock formations.

Menu at the bar was very short--in fact, we ordered the same food 2 nights because we didn't want to eat in the formal dining room. Seems either expensive fancy dinner or--not many casual options. The hair salon price was stated differently between the front desk and the stylist. The stylist also told me at the end that the shampoo and conditioner each cost 5 Euro which was absurd. I just paid the 25Euro which the front desk had informed me was the price. I was not happy with the blowdry result.

Lovely week at Hotel Solverde, We had a family room which consisted of 2 interconnecting rooms. They rooms were clean and comfortable, although lacked plug points to charge devises. plenty of choice at Breakfast and the Pool and spa area were great, we stayed in the May half term and the hotel was not very busy at all. it was a great location to use as a base to sight see in the local area, we had a hire car but I understand that you can reach a lot of the main cities from the nearby train station, great for us to have free parking on sight. The beach is reached by a underpass by the pool area and was very clean and quiet on the 2 days that we visited (the winds were too high most of our visit for the beach). We also had dinner in the restaurant one night which was good with lovely service.

There was nothing that we didn't like ourselves, I know that other reviews have mentioned it being a dated hotel, it is a "traditional hotel" but all areas are clean and I didn't see any broken or run down areas.

The hotel is spotless, from the grounds to the bedrooms. The staff are some of the kindest most professional people in the business, they cannot do enough for you. The sea views are incredible. The rooms are very comfortable. The pools, spa and gym are beautiful and well equipped. The hotel is most certainly a wellness centre of gentle peaceful spaces with something for everyone.

The only thing I missed was a kettle in the room! And to be quite honest, I never asked about it. I am sure the staff would have been able to grant that request if I had.

The hotel is big and beautiful.The location is OK.It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach.The pools are decisive.The food is fresh and varied.The staff is very friendly.Everything is very clean and beautiful.We were also given a drink of wellcomen, a traditional Portuguese wine that was very tasty. We had a room for 2 people.The room is large with plenty of space.The bathroom is also big and clean. The balcony is solid.The hotel is very modern.The pool is clean and beautiful.The breakfast was excellent.If you want to go to Porto, you will need a taxi and you will be there in about 20 minutes.

We live in a modern age when every person uses a mobile phone, laptop or tablet.There was only one electrical outlet in our room where we could charge our devices.I think that's a bit illogical.Especially if there are more people in the room and everyone has to wait their turn to charge their cell phones.Very stupid.Because of this, I'm not giving a lower rating because I'm very satisfied,but it wouldn't be bad if this could be fixed as well. The room also lacks a tea and coffee maker.

250m from the Northern beaches, an oasis featuring 2 really large saltwater pools (one indoor and one outdoor, both heated) making it a great destination (especially with kids) all year round. If one wants to visit Gaia or Porto, it's a short 20mn ride away by car. The breakfast room as well as the breakfast itself were excellent, the latter with loads of variety and really high quality. While the hotel still has an "old soul" it was clearly modernised and is extremely functional and comfortable overall. Good SPA and gym as well.

The SPA facilities by the indoor pool could be expanded as they were often crowded. Moreover some of the facilities repeatedly didn't work or were turned off (Men's Lagonium / Turkish bath).

Outside pool was excellent with enough seating / lounging facilites. Breakfast selection and amount exceptional Room was confortable with space and adequate storage Staff very helpful and attentive

Room could be a little hot and AC was not sufficent to redice temperature Hot water took a good while to come though but then was exedingly warm A good distance from the town and other restaurants / shopping

Absolutely excellent hotel. No wonder this is the hotel of choice for the Portuguese national football team. We felt most comfortable, very well received by the staff. A wonderful breakfast, and especially most quiet/soundproofed rooms which provided plenty cooling by the air-conditioning for a much more comfortable sleep. The outdoor, fully heated salt-water pool was quite incredible and the private entrance to the beach was quite mesmerising with Sunset. We required some quick ironing which was gracefully performed by the hotel itself. It came back in a mere 20min, just on time for the wedding. Just incredible service, most kind staff. Would definitely return.

Nothing at all about the hotel. The local taxi-driver which was called by the hotel only spoke Portuguese which made it virtually impossible to communicate with him. The coverage for Uber is a bit tricky, so make sure to reserve plenty in advance and if you take a regular taxi make sure to take out your Google Translate with voice recorder out.

Hotel was calm and clean, our room got neat every day.

Breakfast had limited selection. We expected more options to eat . Not tissue on our room. No plate and spoon for cups. No minibar in our room.the indoor swimming pool was not pleasant, space and water was cold . Hotel had a long Distane to city center; about 30 km far from city cener it means is suitable only fot those take car rental. We lost about 1 to 1.5 hour in highways to reach city atrractions every day!!

Location a short walk from the beach was excellent. A short walk to the train station also meant we had easy access to Porto. Hotel staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Facilties including mini golf, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, and even a small playground for kids meant we had loads to do without the need to venture out if we so wished. Breakfast was great also. We really enjoyed our stay at this 5-star hotel.
