This small boutique hotel decorated in Peranakan style is very well located for visiting family and friends in Tiong Bahru. It’s within walking distance of two MRT stations and TB shopping plaza, several food courts and cafes (the famous TB bakery is around the corner and also a branch of Toast Box). I was allocated a quiet safe room with good air-con, and comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked my room, the decor, the bathroom, the complimentary herbal teas, the location across the road from the TB main food court, in this pleasant quiet suburb with lots of character, it was a joy to return to my room at the end of days out. Would visit again if visiting family. I really didn’t dislike anything.

I really enjoyed my stay at Nostalgia. It lived up to its name, i.e., it has an old worlds charm. My room came with a nice wide bed with a very good mattress, several small lights that allowed for me to get my work done. Everything functioned well. I really enjoyed the friendly and efficient staff at Nostalgia. I do appreciate a friendly greeting and the help the staff provided with my luggage, printing, public transport, etc. The free flow of coffee was a real treat! I also enjoyed the little pool with its deck. It is not a lap pool but it allowed for me to catch a few rays of sunshine, cool down from the hot days, and refresh. Additionally, there are good eateries within the block which allowed for me to focus on my work and not waste time by searching around. Lastly, the location is within easy reach of the MRT system and buses. I will book my next stay in Singapore at Nostalgia!

My only suggestion is about a work area. It would be good to either have a bigger desk in the rooms (mine was very small) or a public, well lit area to spread out papers.

I like that this hotel is not one of the usual featureless skyscrapers, and has some character. It has only 3 floors and the top floor sports the very welcome, small pool and a couple of sun loungers. The room and bed were very comfy and overall I was happy. There's a subway station quite close by.

Another time I'd book a balcony room because although mine had a big window, there was no way of opening it, which is a bit claustrophobic. I spent time on the roof instead The shower door does not seal properly and it floods the bathroom floor. The food court opposite, which was a big draw, is closed for construction work. There are other eating places nearby, including the Italian restaurant right next door, which offers a small discount. It's outrageously expensive, though. There's no breakfast available at the hotel. The hotel itself is also very expensive once the local taxes have been added. I suppose that's just Singapore. But I was glad to be moving onto the better-value Malaysia.

Nice hotel with historic elements. Staff is amazing: performing above and beyond. Amazing powerful shower. Coffee machine at reception. Nice but small swimming pool. Staff brought another pillow in the middle of the nights (because the room came with only very thick pillows).

Unfortunately the airco in the room couldn't be set to fan only without cooling. Even after adjusting the temperature, the air quality wasn't good. I got a soar throat from the air conditioning. No breakfast available.

Nice quiet location and not too far from the MRT Havelock station (better to get out here than Outram Park). Small rooms but comfortable and clean. Management went out of their way to allow us to check in early and help with any needs - very nice of them!

Rooms didn't have a ton of space for luggage, so with two people traveling from overseas it was a bit tight. But comfy and worth the price.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, providing more coffee/tea supplies when requested and agreeing to store luggage while we took a mini-break during our stay.

Only the size of clothes storage space was limited. More drawers and hanging space would have been useful.

We loved the location of the hotel. Set in a great neighbourhood with minutes walk from an artisan bakery and authentic food market. For our budget, the hotel was adequate and offered everything we needed but what set it aside was the staff. The staff was incredibly friendly, courteous and went out of their way to help us with everything and to make our stay comfortable.

There are hundreds of hotels in Singapore but within our budget this was great.

Location is good (a few minutes walk to metro station); staff is nice; bed is comfortable; complimentary continental breakfast (croissant and coffee) is nice; good value for money

The design of bathroom is a bit strange. The basin is inside the shower room which is inconvenient.

Friendly reception staff, room was clean, location near to havelock underground station, price for room was ok, Tiong bakru bakery round the corner is really nice for pastries and coffee.

Very small room.

Convenient location near food outlets and Havelock and Tiong Bahru MRT stations. Front desk staff Toni was exceptional with her attentive and friendly service.

Aircon flow was too strong and could not be adjusted . Bed needs changing was lumpy.
