The building and its history is drop dead gorgeous. The location couldn't be better. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We were graciously given a bag breakfast so we could catch our train before breakfast officially started.

There was no air conditioning so we had the windows open and a band in the restaurant kept us awake past our bedtime.

I loved staying at Hotel Palace. The hotel is gorgeous, newly renovated with a very classy vibe. It was clean and very warm considering the low temperatures outside. I really recommend if you want to have a relaxing holiday in beautiful Sinaia!

A gem. A splendid historical hotel in the heart of Sinaia. We had the suite with terrace and it was worth the money. Very comfortable. Enjoyable spa (although we paid extra, which is a shame considering we had the most expensive room) - mainly because we were alone, so my 8 year old daughter had fun. Small pool, oldish jacuzzi, wet sauna.

The toilets need a complete makeover. The maintenance is poor. Cleanliness is poor. Breakfast was a joke - not proper for a 4star hotel in the most classy mountain resort of Romania. Waiters were lacking manners - had other things to do than to attend to the needs of the guests. Coffee was abominable.

The hotel is located in Ghica park, which is the best area in Sinaia. Close proximity to restaurants, to the Sinaia Monastery and you can even take a walk up to Peles Castle if the wheather allows it. The room was nicely decorated and recently renovated.

Even though it is marked as a 4 star hotel, the services do not meet expectations. There is little attention to details. - No fridge in the room. We had to buy drinking water from the vending machine downstairs. - The safe in the room could not be opened once closed. We asked the staff at the reception to test the safe and show us how the safe opens and closes. They did not know. Even the technician did not know how to open the safe. This was not just for our safe. Any safe in the hotel. - The staff in the reception did not know much about the hotel. It is a historical building of significance to Sinaia. One would expect the reception staff to be a bit more knowledgeable. We asked when the renovations started. - The jacuzzi in the spa area did not work properly. Only half of the jacuzzi could generate bubbles and the staff told us that it is partly broken. It seemed old. - The wet sauna did not work at all. The staff told us that it is broken. - One of the showers in the spa area did not have hot water. I assumed this was also broken. - The handles in the pool were shaking badly. Not a good idea to hold on to them when getting in and out of the pool. - There is no breakfast area. You eat in the event room, were the weddings and events usually take place. The hall is very big and could easily be separated into multiple compartments (at least temporary, in the morning, by a movable screen). Not very pleasant to eat breakfast at a wedding table of 12 when you are only to 2 people. - The coffee machine did not have milk. Another guest notified the waiter and... he put a broken sign on it and went off. Again, staff should be a bit more knowledgeable. It's the same coffee machine every day. - The food for breakfast was very basic. Fruits were missing almost entirely, as they only had apples. The vegetables were largely cut, as in a cucumber slice had 2 centimeters. This lack of attention to details is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. One expects a bit of finesse.
