We travel to the other side of Berlin every year to take our car to a Treffen, we like to stop past the Helmstadt / Marienborn border so it was really nice to find a Schloss with so much history about 20 from our route. The schloss is part hotel and restaurant and part children's activity centre / riding school. The rooms were nice and the food was amazing :)

Our bed was definitely broken it made seal noises every time one of us moved on it

Staff are very friendly and helpful; we arrived very late, the manager returned to work to check us in and a server stayed to serve us a last minute beer. That was highly appreciated! We were also allowed access to "the tower" from which you see as far as the Harz mountains. The room was spacious with a comfy bed and large bathroom, including tub and separate rain shower. Free parking is a bonus too.

There could have been more space in the bathroom to store toiletries. Breakfast was a bit sparse, although good quality.

Nice and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. The restaurant was lovely and great food. Staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived with motorbikes on a trailer and was shown a perfect parking for us.

People are allowed to bring dogs in the restaurant which can be okay. But a big dog whining whilst eating is a but disturbing for other guests.

Free parking, hysterical environment, clean room. Warm and quiet room.

No any kettles, tea, coffee, still water and fridge in the room. Breakfast was very basic and limited. The lady stayed next to the breakfast and watched us to see what we pick and eat( feeling uncomfortable)

I really liked the place, we arrived very late but it wasn't a problem, there was a cold beer waiting for me in the room, clean rooms great

breakfast could have had more choice, we were the last to go down and there wasn't much choice... but that's a small detail otherwise great

Amazing location and surroundings. A real life castle. Amazing value for money. Very friendly staff and great food.

Loved it all - restaurant was a bit over priced but what do you expect in a castle! Told a large triple with 2 double beds but was a small room with a double and single. Breakfast was unattended and a lot of dirty plates, empty milk jugs, no coffee etc.

Vegetables in the breakfast menu :) last time they didnt have any vegetables and now they did. Also my room was very nice, comfortable, with a lot of windows and nice view. Peaceful area, friendly staff.

A beautiful hotel in a castle, very nice restaurant as well. A special thanks to the wonderfullly kind lady who served us a great breakfast in the morning!

weather was cold, and stay was too short 😉 if there is possibility for improvement: it would be nice to have Coffee machine for breakfast

We enjoyed the surroundings. Excellent service from the owner. Good breakfast. Good point for our travels, within relatively easy reach from the motorway.

Bit of trouble with the wi-fi, but the owner solved it immediately.
