We were here for 3 nights to enjoy sightseeing in San Marino. The hotel was centrally located among all the various sights. Very easy to walk to all the attractions. The staff (restaurant, reception and room service) were all very polite and helpful. The on-site restaurant had a full menu with a wide variety of choices and was open for lunch and dinner. The meals were excellent. The morning breakfast was also excellent with choices ranging from bacon and eggs, pancakes, cereal, fruit, breads, cheeses and meats. The WiFi was fast and worked flawlessly. If you are arriving from Rimini by bus, the walk from the bus stop to the hotel is about 19 minutes and is all up hill. We arrived in San Marino after dark, so we took a taxi from Rimini to the hotel at a cost of 65 Euros.

The lack of on demand transportation could be an issue for some. While there are taxis in San Marino, they are extremely limited and run only on a reservation basis. The taxis are not metered and the fare from the hotel to the bus stop was 20 Euros. Make sure to make your reservation 24 hours in advance. Our only negative about our hotel accommodation was the bathroom shower tile grout was dirty.

The view from the balcony for sunset must be the best in all of San Marino - incredible memories, eating pizzas and sipping sundowners on the balcony with the family. Location inside the Old Town is also excellent - right in the middle of everything. The staff were helpful and friendly, including allowing us to bring in food and drinks from outside.

Lack of parking - just one space in the P9 carpark was for Hotel Cesare, which was always occupied. At a busy time of year, we had to park waaay down in the other carparks, and push our luggage up steep hills for 20 minutes. Rooms are a bit dull, tired and worn looking - if it was not for the spectacular view, the room itself would be a disappointment. But thankfully the spectacular view and the location was the real reason we were there.

The hotel is right inside the entrance gate, so it was just a few meters from Parking Lot #6. The reception staff was very friendly and efficient. We had dinner in their attached restaurant and the meal was outstanding. The grilled lamb was cooked to perfection which has been hard to find in our experience in Italy. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of food. The other highlight of breakfast besides the food was the lady taking care of the food and the guests. Her name is Camen, and she is truly a delight and a great representative for the hotel. Not only was she very good at keeping the area clean and free of used dishes, etc., she was friendly and very, very accommodating, especially when we requested a third cup of coffee. We are coffee loving Americans, and so appreciated her willingness to serve us with a smile. We were traveling with another couple, and after we left, my sister discovered they had left their phone charging equipment in the room. When we called the hotel, they said it had been turned in, and kept it at the desk for us to stop and pick it up a week later when we finished our European trip and were on our way back to our home in Italy. It was at the desk when we returned. This will now be our go to hotel when we have guests we want to take to San Marino.

No negatives.

The room was very nice with amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was adequate could do with a bit more variation. Staff very helpful.

I was disappointed that there was no bath because on the advertisement a bath was shown on lots of the pictures. My partner was not well on our departure and unable to manage the cases down the very steep steps to the bus stop. I asked the receptionist if it was possible to get a taxi which she did. The journey took 4 minutes and we were charged ÂŁ25 which left me feeling cheated and I feel the hotel needs to be aware of this for future reference.

This hotel has an absolutely spectacular location. It is a short walk from the city center (which has a relaxing and enjoyable nightlife) Guaita Tower, Cesta Tower, Montale Tower, the Basilica Del Santo, and the The Palazzo Pubblico. My room was small but perfect for only one person. The breakfast was enjoyable and offers a stunning view of San Marino and the Italian countryside. The staff is incredibly friendly and, though there is a bit of a language barrier, I simply used google translate and they were absolutely willing to help. Overall, this is a spectacular hotel and I have no negatives. It is also a short distance from the shuttle service that carries people from the top of the country to bus stop.

This was our first visit to the Republic of San Marino and as far as we're concerned, there is no other place to stay besides the Hotel Cesare. The location of the hotel was perfect, especially if you follow the direction of the front desk and park in public parking lot #6. We knew the area would be hilly, but we didn't realize just how steep the hills would be, so this hotel was perfect. Also, the hotel restaurant is outstanding from the preparation and presentation of the food, the wines that are offered and the service provided. Everything about our stay was first rate including the view from our room. If we were going back to visit San Marino again, we wouldn't consider staying in any other hotel.

Everything was great.

Amazing location with easy access to all main attractions of San Marino. The room was nice and very clean. Very friendly staff and good breakfast with a wide variety of different sweet and savory foods, cereals, yogurts and fruits. There are also 2 parkings very close to the hotel which you pay in the hotel and only cost 6 € per night/day. Great value for the money!

The bed (mattress) was a bit uncomfortable for us and the room was quite hot although the AC seemed to be working well (probably because our room was on the top floor and the day was extremely hot).

Located in the heart of the San Marino city, the location is ideal. While the street is busy during the day, it becomes peaceful and quiet in the evening. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and there was the option to have dinner or lunch, though we didn't take advantage of it. Hotel overall is small, but compact. We had great price deal for classic room by visiting during the off-season in October.

The rooms are smaller than what we are used to. No complimentary tea/water in the classic room.

For the last night of our three week trip in Italy, we stayed in another country, San Marino! As a splurge, we booked the best room in this hotel, which is near the top of the mountain and just below the castle. We were happy that we had spent the extra money because the room had fantastic views overlooking the valley, even with the birds and above the clouds. Magical. We had been traveling pretty hard so we ate in the hotel restaurant, and it was quite good. Staff were friendly and helpful with the parking, which is at a premium in this tiny principality.

I did not know what to expect but this hotel was fabulous. Our top floor corner room had two walls of windows that overlooked the town and valley. It is well located in the historic part of San Moreno because there is a parking lot right outside the entry to historic area and hotel is right there. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of choices and a wonderful patio if you want to site outside. We had dinner in the restaurant one night which was great. Best risotto in a long time.

hmmmmmm, there were no downsides for me.
