I was born in Bacau, right next to the hotel, and i was so happy to see that the person that i knew in charge of security was still there and he was amazing (Eugen, this is for you). I had an excellent time in my short while, the staff was amazing (especially Eugen) and very helpful, the breakfast was great, the room was big and comfortable, really felt like home! I highly recommend the hotel, also because it's right in the middle of the city, and you can't get a better location than that.

Excellent Stay at Hotel Dumbrava! I recently stayed at Hotel Dumbrava and had an outstanding experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast, which had a variety of fresh and tasty options to suit every preference. The on-site restaurant also served excellent meals, with both local and international dishes prepared to perfection. The hotel's location is perfect, close to the city's main attractions yet in a peaceful area, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, Hotel Dumbrava exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Great location close to the city centre, but nestled in a noise-free street. Very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, high-quality toiletries and cosy bathrobe. Delicious breakfast, with a variety of options, including local dishes. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, courteous, and always making sure everything was just right. Their genuine hospitality made a lasting impression and made me feel truly valued as a guest.

The hotel is refurbished and gives you the feeling that it is new. Perfectly located in the middle of the city center, the hotel is pet friendly and has large rooms, large bathrooms and large parkings. The rooms have AC, fridge and a kettle, very comfortable beds and pillows and the staff is kind and useful. Everything is very clean. The breakfast is generous in offers and quantities and you can find whatever you may wish for any diet.

Although with conference rooms and situated in the city center, I though this hotel would aim to be considered "romantic" instead of "business" as the light in the rooms is very poor and there are not enough sockets. There are indeed three lamps in each room, however considering that in a double room there are two people, each with an electronic watch, a laptop or tablet, a mobile phone and eventually a power bank, it is quite a challenge to chose what to charge first and of course to stay in the dark light during that charging...

Lady at the reception - extremely welcoming and nice. As we had to leave very early in the morning, we could have one breakfast to take away, which was great. The restaurant 'Casa Rebeca' is nicely hosted in a reconditioned old house, with a lovely terrace with olive trees. The help with the luggage was welcome.

The triple room has no balcony. Room and bathroom furniture a bit outdated. The music at Casa Rebeca restaurant/ terrace was too loud and not really suitable for dining (clubbing music). It would be nice to add a couple of dishes for kids on the menu (e.g. small portion of pasta).

The property is located downtown in a very convenient location. The staff was very very friendly and polite, and they are into satisfying every request of the guests in the most exceptional manner. It's been a while since I've met such friendly staff at a hotel. This a big plus. The room was nice, breakfast was good, and overall I've had a nice stay at this hotel.

Don't take it as a complaint, cause it's not the hotel to be blamed for it, but some sections of the nearby streets were closed on Saturday, and it was a hustle to find a way to get there with the car, cause Waze or Google Maps were unaware of this fact, so drivers, beware, it can get you a headache to find your way to the hotel if you go in the weekends.

This is not a hotel, it is an eco-system. This is a place where one always wants to come back, because one feels welcome, confortable, supported. Everything is in place, restaurants are charming, food is great. The best staff I met in many years of local and international travelling, in every department: concierge, reception, restaurant, cleaning.

The best thing about it the Staff friendliness and willingness to do everything in their power for guests to feel welcomed. The security guard and the nice lady at the reception went above and beyond to make sure we have parking, that we can order food, that it gets delivered to our room from the restaurant in front (which didn't have staff for delivery), they brought us a charger. It's our favorite place in Bacau, we don't even consider other options. Rooms are also quite large, bathrooms clean, they have all the amenities. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've seen, very diverse selection, not just basics.

This is by far the best hotel in Bacau. Amenities are very good, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is professional and always ready to help. Many thanks to Mihai and Eugen, who made our stay special. Casa Rebeca restaurant next to the hotel is very good and also offers a 10% discount for the hotel guests. We will be back at Dumbrava and Casa Rebeca next time when we visit Bacau!

Very friendly, nice and helpful people. Booking confirmation received on a personalized email, welcome card placed in the room with the same personal note. Spacious room, equally spacious bathroom, everything clean, tasty apples waiting for us on the table on arrival. Good quality gym/equipment available anytime (even if not open). We enjoyed eating on the premises, good breakfast, lunch and dinner. At least 3 banks (and ATMs) within 1-2 min walking distance, shopping relatively close.

Nothing on the negative side that comes to mind.
