Very nice location. Rooms are good sized, clean and comfortable, good breakfast, easy parking.

We paid for private parking but in the winter, there were plenty of public parking places outside. Hotel was almost empty when we stayed here at the end of December. We requested two rooms next to each other; they gave us rooms with one in between. At 10 pm our neighbours were drinking, singing loudly and listening to the music on the balcony between our rooms. We were unable to ask them to be a little bit quieter. The receptionist wasn't very eager to deal with this situation; he was sitting in the lobby and watching TV at full volume. I felt like I was disturbing him. We had to approach him several times before he agreed to change our both rooms.

The sea view from the terrace was amazing. The room was very nicely decorated, functional and comfortable. Big bathroom. The terrace was huge and definitely worth the money.

The breakfast was good with everything you need except veggies. There were fresh fruits, but no fresh or cooked veggies. The omelet and the bread were ok but they were kinda sweet, I guess they cater for American tastes. Very good bacon and the coffee was great, you can get a custom made cappuccino with all sots of milk.

I have been looked after exceptionally by the amazing staff at the front and dining area. Breakfast OK, with lots of fresh pastry, yoghurts, etc and some savoury options as well. The restaurant was serving fresh and locally inspired dishes for dinner. Pool area was very well maintained. I could hear the relaxing sounds of the sea from my room.

Room bath amenities quite poor quality for a 4-star hotel. No iron in the room. More fresh fruit and veggies for the breakfast.

We were looking forward to staying at the Hotel Villa Romana, which is located near the famous Turkish Steps and the Valley of the Temples. The hotel is situated in some kind of copy of historic palace with a sea view. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the only drawback was the breakfast, which was very disappointing. The eggs were extremely overcooked to brown, the bread was not fresh, there was no vegetables and there was a low selection of cold cuts. Only one ham and one salami. The coffee was weak also. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at the Hotel Villa Romana, except for the breakfast. The hotel has a great location, a nice room and a friendly staff. The breakfast could be much better and more varied. I recommend this hotel to people who are looking for accommodation near Agrigento, but prefer to go for breakfast elsewhere.

Breakfast!

The bedsheets and towels were very white and oferred a luxury sensation. Also the bath gel and shampoo very nice. The location is close to Scala dei turchi, pleasant walk on the beach(1.2 km). The big parking lot near hotel. Good breakfast (the pie with pistachio was my favourite). The sand is very thin and the water of the sea is small near the beach, I suppose is a good beach for children.

The receptionist had no intention to help us when we arrived earlier than the hour mentioned for check in. He was very disturbed because we asked for check in at 1 o'clock instead of 3 pm like at the reception. The room is small compared to other hotels.

Excellent beachfront location, lovely pool, very nice public areas, nice views from balcony. All the staff were really friendly and helpful without exception.

Internet was very flaky in our 2nd floor bedroom, constantly dropping out. Internet downstairs in public areas was good. Same, limited dinner menu every night with focus on fish and seafood. As a non fish person this meant we ate out I really think there should be more variety on offer and daily specials.

The kitchen. The breakfast and food was fantastic, in a great ambiance, salon with lots of classic decoration, iridescent small mosaic on all columns of the salon, a break from city life. Luxurious set up of buffet with fresh cooked tarts, fresh brioche and cakes to eggs and bacon, variety of coffees and teas, all in beautiful classical silver settings. Breakfast creation and management and staff were fantastic to bring you anything you need. Great lunch and dinner menus...Clean large round tables, everything in white linen. Gorgeous!

Wish had more time to stay here more days!

Beach hotel situated 2km from Turkish stair natural monument, you can easily reach out the destination by pleasant beach walk (20 mins each way). We were very satisfied with the room, breakfast and reception staff and really enjoyed our 1-day stop near the sea. Secured parking (for a free) available inside fenced premise. Perfect starting point for experiencing places with ancient Greek culture remains (Valley of temples etc..)

The hotel is lovely located at the wide, sandy beach. One can make long walks from there. The sea is shallow in this place. The pool is clean and beach facilities: deckchairs and umbrellas are easily accessible around the pool and at the beach. I wanted to sightsee so we did not use the hotel restaurant. We ate breakfasts for four days and we were not bored with them. I liked fruit juices and cereals with yoghurt. I am not used to cakes for breakfast but there was really a large choice of cakes and the ones I tried were good. I am happy to have visited the real Vigata.

There is obviously a problem with the air-condition and ventilation in the hotel - they are loud and need renovation. The room was not exactly what I saw in the photos.

This is a real 4 star hotel. Everything was constantly cleaned there. Breakfast buffet was amazing. In February there was plenty of free parking available. You can walk forever on the beach right next to the hotel (e.g. to the Scala dei turchi). Porto Empedocle has a certain charm because it is not just a tourist resort due to the fishing and ferry port.
