The breakfast was good. Continental with some aspects of an English breakfast (sausage, bacon and eggs). The location was great. Amazing views from the hotel room balcony. The free shuttle bus to Sorrento was fantastic. Very prompt. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

I cannot speak highly enough about Grand Hotel Hermitage...From the stunningly beautiful views to all the wonderful staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. Tony was especially funny and we loved his cocktails by the pool! Our room was well air conditioned and kept very clean. The location was perfect for us as it didn't feel at all touristy. We had everything we needed on site and in the lovely little local town but equally we had easy access (thanks to the complimentary hotel shuttle) to visit the much busier Sorrento at our own leisure. I owe an extra special thanks to the staff for how they took care of everything...I was quite sick one night and therefore unable to make a boat trip that I had previously booked but the staff took all the details and rearranged everything for me no trouble at all. They provided my friend with a great selection of gluten free breakfasts each morning and when we had to check out very early on our final day we were given a very generous take away breakfast. Thank you Grand Hotel Hermitage!

This hotel has so many 'wows' - when we first saw the view from the terrace, we thought it couldn't get any better than this. Then we went up to our bedroom and saw the view from our balcony and we were blown away. We spent most of our nights on that big balcony enjoying the view of the sea and Vesuvius. It truly was spectacular. The staff are exceptional - so professional and friendly. The pool was a great size for cooling off during the hot weather - perfect for reading a book and having a drink in between meals. We also loved the shuttle bus service which allowed us to still pop in & out of Sorrento town if we wanted to. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back again some day!

One of the nicest, friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. All the staff from reception, to restaurant to drivers, nothing was too much trouble for them. It was lovely to be a person not a random guest. We had our little dog Ria with us and they treated her like a princess too. Highly recommend.

Have been travelling to this hotel for years. Tan by a lovely family. Staff are very friendly and I would highly recommend

It is about a 15 min drive outside Sorrento so it may not suit if you want to be closer. There is a shuttle bus that drops residents to Sorrento each day and you need to book on to it in advance. There is a lovely village (San’Agata) out the back where there are lovely people running restaurants and bars! Has all you would need as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast.

The view was exceptional, the breakfast was plentiful and the staff were great always making sure that you wanted for nothing and the cleaning staff were great also the room was cleaned every day even if it didn't require it This was our 2nd trip to the Grand Hermitage and would go back again

If i was to be picky it would just be the bus up and down to town could run a little later but in saying that it wouldn't put me off going back

Old school family run hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but walking distance to the lively village of Lubranese. The hotel staff are excellent, and views are 2nd to none. It’s the kind of place where you get to know the other guests and you likely will meet them when you come back next year!

Breakfast buffet could have been better and more varied day to day. Beds were a little firm.

Beautiful hotel - really clean and well presented. Staff were all super friendly, from the check in to the pool bar staff. Room was lovely and views were stunning! You can charge food/drinks to your room which was great. Overall a brilliant stay and would go again.

The hotel provides a free mini bus to Sorrento which is great - only thing we would have liked to see would be a slightly later pick up from Sorrento back to the hotel

the questions would be what I didn’t like, the answer would be nothing. I LOVED everything in this family oriented hotel. its’s very clean, welcoming, staff if extremely helpful and friendly, the location is breath taking, and the daily breakfast I has wide verity and the coffee is great :)

I loved everything but if you don’t intend to rent a car (if you do they have parking which is exceptional) transportation with their shuttle is limited to certain hours and last pick up from the center is 8:15 pm, if you plan to stay later you’ll need a cab that can be costly if you’re traveling alone but if you split it between your group it’s not bad at all. the other option is “Sita” their public transportation that is directly across the hotel, the hotel have the tickets to buy (I recommend to buy it from the hotel), get their schedule and use it, it’s cheap and they’re on time. we used it once.

Beautiful hotel in the hills of Sorrento with fantastic views of Mount Vesuvius.Personnel extremely helpful and warm. Great food at reasonable prices in hotel restaurant. Day tours booked via hotel, no stress. Great shuttle service provided free of charge from hotel to Sorrento at various times of the day and back. Just had to book via reception. Big thankyou to you all, for looking after us so well.
