I came as a single parent with 4 kids, ages 8,5,3 and 1. Staff was super friendly, offered me help carrying things up to my room while I had my hands full with the baby. The room I booked was amazing. It was above what I expected. My kids and I had a wonderful time. I loved the pool, and the jacuzzi in my room was perfect after a long day running around with my children.

When I was booking, it listed that it had a balcony. I thought it meant a balcony outside. I took that room because I would have been able to go outside to smoke without going to my car. It ended up being a balcony overlooking the pool inside, which wasn't useful not me at all. But the jacuzzi in the room that wasn't listed more than made up for that. I also thought the price was a little high, but I have no basis for comparison regarding a king suite.

Check in was easy. We only saw one car in the parking lot when we arrived, late in the afternoon. The parking lot was full when we left the next morning. We did not use the pool but it looked great and kids were using it. Everything was clean and all that we used, worked. It was quiet and super clean. The desk clerks were great and gave us driving directions for the next day. They gave us directions to a mall a couple of minutes away. Plenty of places to eat in the mall.

The staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location was about 45 minutes from all of the activities we had planned, but the value for the two-night stay was worth it. The pool area was small but nice. The hot tub was a nice bonus as most places don't have them.

The sheets on the bed had some dirty spots. The pillows provided were too small but still comfortable. The breakfast was okay for being "free". The room was small for a family of 5 but we only used it for sleeping so it got the job done. Overall, if I had to stay again. I would.

Nice strong shower, great price! The last time I was here, they were fixing things up. Well, they’re done now and the place is much better. The room was comfortable and clean. The wall heater was fairly quiet, the shower was awesome and everything was clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again!

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.

Super clean and comfortable with a pool and hot tub. The beds slept good and pillows nice quality. The staff goes above and beyond. Breakfast was 3 boiled eggs, banana, toasted bagel. Fiancé had build a waffle with coffee. Kids had fruit and some juice with a waffle the other had yogurt with bananas and cereal. Everything was fresh and plentiful.

I did not experience any issues!

The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home the chairs were comfortable as well my room was very clean as well as the common locations like the pool and eating areas

There was only 2 things that I didn't like and both in my eyes are very minimal the first is that the bathrooms are very small and while on the toilet the bathroom door can't be opened or closed which with kids makes things hard and the second is the toilet paper seems very low quality and single ply

Me and my fiancé absolutely loved our comfy bed and giant shower And relaxing together in the Jacuzzi and hot tub definitely made it worth our stay

Breakfast could’ve been a little bit better. It was only French toast, sticks, waffles, bagels, and muffins, and that was about it other than that, though everything was exceptional.

The rooms and service

The over crazy ness in the pool area and the rules not being inforce. Was kids down there without adult supervision and acting crazy. Had to leave with my 3 year old god son because to much throwing things and jumping in and splash

The staff was very personable and friendly. Beds were comfy. They gave us a free portable bed to use for our stay.

Need to do a little remodeling. The price was kind of steep for the condition of the hotel. It might have been more expensive because of the grand haven coast guard festival though.

We always stay here for the convenience and the pool. We drive up over 3 hours to spend some time on the beach and visit some of the local businesses and we love that should the weather turn we have the option for the kids to still swim

Some of the pool area was dirty and the in room bathrooms are beginning to feel dated or needing repair
