This was a very positive experience. The room (end of the corridor) was plenty big enough for the two of us, allowing us to pack the three suitcases we had before sending them to the airport. Laundry facilities were clever, as you could see on your TV when a machine was available. Cleaning staff were exceptionally helpful - one day we asked for extra water as we were thirsty, and the lady remembered the following day as well. Reception team were professional but still friendly - you always get a better vibe in Tohoku in comparison to Kanto, in my opinion. Also, there was a microwave available near our room, which enabled us to cook proper meals when we weren't eating out. The bathroom was really nice, too - unusually spacious.

There could have been a few more washing machines as we did have to wait a while, but that's a minor point.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming Hilltop Inn and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The hotel is nestled in the heart of a quaint town, surrounded by picturesque views of the rolling hills.

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with a cozy fireplace that added to the overall ambiance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby each night. The room also had all the amenities I needed, including a coffee maker, mini-fridge, and high-speed internet.

Very conveniently located - walking distance from Sendai Station, with a Starbucks and 7/11 on the ground floor and plenty of nice shops and restaurants very nearby. Also facilities are still quite new and very clean.

Not negative, but the hotel wants clients to check in and check out via an ATM-like machine, even though you still have to fill in a guest info form when you check in. You pay in advance at the ATM(which works fine) and it issues your card key(s). If there are any issues, you can ask the front desk (easy if you speak Japanese, but I’m sure they would try their best if in English).

Location - near the famous gyutan restaurant zenjiro, there is one just next to the hotel so you do not have to go to the more crowded one in the train station. The morning market is also just next to the hotel. 7-11 and Starbucks are on the first floor and the family mart is just right around the corner.

The hotel is blocked by another building so you won't be able to see it after exiting the station. From what I know, because of the layout of the bridge right outside Sendai station, there are no elevators on the side where the hotel is located. We had to carry our luggage down the stairs, but it was not very difficult. If you are not in a rush and do not mind walking extra, you can use the lifts in the nearby buildings to get to the first floor.

Starbucks, 7/11 at the entrance of the building. Electronic shop, Burger King and a great beef tongue restaurant super close by. 20 seconds to train station entrance with elevator / escalator access. What’s more do you need from a reasonable priced hotel. Let’s not forget the peaceful lounge beside reception with comfortable seating.

Loved the location, easy access to Sendai station. Shopping street and it’s a stone throw away from Toyota rental company. Very responsive to our request. The place is done up tastefully. Love it. There is coin laundromat in the hotel which is a big help for me as I travel with two children during winter

They can get pretty crowded when it’s over a weekend. So may need to adjust your timing for breakfast if your room comes with it

It was very close to the station and if you can find the subway to West 1, you can do the whole walk under cover. Entry is via a narrow foyer next to a Seven Eleven and Reception is on the 4th floor. Having an English speaking staff member was a real bonus at check in because she also found us a really good Indian restaurant. The hotel was new and its rooms are light and practical including chrome cast on the TV. Breakfast is on the 13th floor with mostly Japanese choices and a few western ones. No English on the menu. Having a Seven Eleven downstairs is handy.

The entrance to the hotel is narrow and hard to see. We missed it and had to turn back. Western selections on the buffet are slim pickings and there’s no English descriptions of the food. You may prefer Starbucks downstairs.

Very clean and spacious room. Bathroom is huge. The hotel can be accessed from JR Sendai by following the signs to the Sendai Subway and exit via West 1. It’s sheltered all the way and there are lifts as well. The hotel is directly connected to a Starbucks and 7-11 and located near many shops and restaurants.

The bathroom needs a hook on the door so there’s a place to hang towel and clothes.

the location was very close to shopping stores, and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main city train station. The 24-hour convenient store and Starbucks were just below the hotel. The staff speak English. They'd welcome you in a respectful way.
